Posted here because it is a challenge only those who have swapped items can do and it didn't seem fair to post it on the scrapbooking forum
Starting October 5 until November 18, post your pictures of layouts you create using at least TWO swapped items. These are NEW layouts, not ones you have already done. Any swapped item can be used. You do not need to remember which swap or who they came from. Your pages must be 6x6 or bigger. But any size variation is welcome. They can be single pages or double layouts, but each page must have two swapped items. Your name will placed in the Disney jar for every page you create up to 15 pages. This is not a who did the most or best. It is for everyone who tries.
If you are unable to post pictures, or don't know how, you can email them to me and I will post them for you.
The winning name pulled will receive an EK Success Inspirables 8 x 8 album (style - Feminine...LOL) which can be seen here (http://www.createforless.com/InterchangeData/images/3/2006/0901/2007051704123322006-0901-7075.jpg) and info found here (http://www.createforless.com/products/productDetail.asp?ProductID=110933&SI=d2954492-d3b8-4f5f-a190-92b3f7bf44f5)
The winner will also host the next round of this challenge. So only enter if you are okay with hostessing.
This is open to old swappers, new swappers, anyone who has swapped here is :welcome: to join this challenge.

I don't remember who did these (I lost the baggie) but it was part of the Ride Swap 2 - team believe. It made making the page so easy, I don't know why I haven't been using this stuff all along, I love it!

Ok, here we go! I want to thank everyone first that I've been in a swap with!! I'm working on our Sept. 2007 trip, and I have a LOT of swap stuff to use! This is just the first set of pages. Thank you all SO much!! It makes it so much easier to get pages done. . .and everyone's stuff looks so impressive!!
Some of the pics may be a little wonky--that's my not-so-great photography skills!! ;) These are all from the first day of our trip--it was just DH & I at AK, my parents didn't arrive until that evening.
This one is the Oasis topper that SusieStone made for the character meet and greet swap, and primas from the prima swap.

Too cute SIOH! :)
You are giving me lots of inspiration..but I have to finish the 4-H book for DD first.. let me clarify.. I need to get the 4-H book caught up.. I'm only 3 years behind but they go together fast since I'm showcasing her ribbons, photo of her and project, project work and than journalling... :) Some of her ribbons are too large for the 12x12 books and I will NOT buy and 18x18 forlift needing book so some of the ribbons will be stored in a clear tub w/ other special mementos! ;)

I did these the other day, but I hadn't posted them. These are from MGM on our last trip.
The photo mat on the left page was made by YodasMom for KAMommy's duos swap in 2006. The chipboard piece on the right page (I don't know how well you can see it--it is on the upper right side) was part of a pack I got from my Secret Sister in my October box!

The topper on the left page was one that rlovew made for me as a swap hostess gift. The pocket and tag on the right were made by havencruiser for an MGM swap I hosted in 2006.

The journal box on the left and the tag on the right were made by PrincessNancy96 for the 2006 MGM swap (the first swap I ever hosted--see, I've been hoarding swap stuff for a LONG time!!).

I had lots of Pocahontas stuff, and only one picture, so I used a bunch of the stuff! ;) The topper, and I think the frame, were made by PrincessNancy96 (I may be wrong about the frame). The paper piecing was made by SusieStone, and the other tag was made by me for another swap.

I don't know who made this Fantasmic topper and tag. I'm sorry! I think it may be from an MGM swap or from the topper and tag swap, but I'm not sure--I couldn't find the bag.

The topper on the left was made by New England Eeyore for the surprise swap. The tag on the right was made by Faerie--I think it was for the Magic Kingdom swap, but I'm not sure.

You're right - I love seeing my stuff used and I love to see everyone's pages to get ideas and inspiration. You use a lot of stuff for a hoarder! I have that same yellow and blue MGM journal box from way back when that I haven't used yet.
What will we hoarders do with all our MGM stuff next year? :confused3 I don't care what they call it - it will always be MGM to me.

Ummm---hoarders like me are soooo far behind, it will be no problem to use up the MGM stuff. In fact I have 2 trips to do and almost no MGM stuff because I missed them! So everyone can put them for trade for the slackers like me!
SIOH, I have really enjoyed looking at your pages. I am sad to admit that I probably won't get do start mine until after Christmas.

Here are the photos I promised a page back.. these are the ones I utilized in DD's recap of her 4-H projects this year.. our theme was 4-H Around the World...
Ok, this page has 2 swap items used.. these are from SusieStone-Counts as 1 page
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t24/PrincessNancy96/100_1690.jpg
This page counts as 1..this is a border and a photo mat..but the photo mat is turned upside down because I had already adhered my photo... They were made by fanofthemouse I think...
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t24/PrincessNancy96/100_1691.jpg
I think missdisney made these..but I might be wrong..this counts as 1 page
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t24/PrincessNancy96/100_1692.jpg
These were made by me.. it is a topper, 2 squares and a journal box~ counts as 1 page
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t24/PrincessNancy96/100_1694.jpg
This set was made by hopemax.. It's a topper and library pocket and tag.. I had done my journaling that is why the tag is flipped over..- 1 page.
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t24/PrincessNancy96/100_1696.jpg
It got 3 on this page.. Thanks Buffy!!! :) Topper and 2 tags!!
http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t24/PrincessNancy96/100_1698.jpg
I'm not sure who made this set. it's 2 pages but only counts as 1 page because it has 2 elements..one on each page..or does that count?

rlovew
10-22-2007, 07:21 PM
Well really it is only the park name changing not the rides so maybe the first MGM swap of the year could have 1 group with general stuff for those of us with old trips to scrap and one general group with Disney Hollywood studios for the new stuff but the attractions are the same as far as I have seen. It would be very expensive to change all of the attraction names too.

What I did was if there were 2 items on each page then it was 2 pages if there were 2 items on a 2 page layout it counted as 1 but since you are in charge it is your call.

I can see there might be trouble finding enough for a DLP swap, but if there are rides the same (Like Tower of Terror) I'm happy using the English words instead of the french, if it gets me cool elelmnts;) I've already got some Haunted Mansion stuff set aside for DLP, and Small World is the same:)

I have no pages done but I have to share that I have finally sorted all my swap items and placed them in binders. I had two of the CM binders that have my non-disney swap items and my MK items. Then I have binders for Animal Kingdom, Characters,Restaurants,MGM and Epcot. The only items not in a binder are my resort items since my sister and I are currently working on that book I have them pulled aside. Once we are done I will add the leftovers to a book. I'm just so excited that I hopefully will now be able to find everything. LOL

Mine did it at 4 and 7. It was the only one we could do because of their ages. They loved it. Seeing how they make the Mickey head pumpkins was cool as was seeing the baby alligators. They also liked the ladybug release. That was fun. My youngest got mad that his bugs would stay where he put them. It really is geared to the children. Our guide was great them.

Yay! Someone used the shaker! Oh my gosh, those things gave me trouble. I had to glue them like four times each, and the last time I checked mine it had reopened again! It frustrated me so badly, I haven't attempted a shaker since. I have visions that everyone will open their baggies or books and find beads all over the place.
That Journal box in the layout underneath is also from that Land stuff I made.

Those are my figment and imagination stuff on a couple of the pages I don't remember if they were from an Epcot swap or a character swap but I still have the images and such set up on the computer.

I love that shaker box! I knew I had it in my Epcot stuff, and I made sure to get it out to use with these! I've never made a shaker box, and I'm always amazed by them! If I tried it, there would be beads all over the house!!
