Gonna be in a cabin at FW all next week. I sure was hoping the weather would clear up.

I hope the weather improves for your trip my DB and family will also be there. I'd rather be in the cabins in the rain than a tent, been there done that. :) Linda

Yup,
we had the same forecast 9/9-9/15. Yes, it rained every day (mostly at around 5pm). We still had a blast! We didn't even bother w/ponchos (w/humidity at around 85% what's the point after all).
It did not dim our enthusiasm or even put a crimp in our vacation. Now, the MNSSHP on 9/14 was a complete loss though......win some....lose some....
Don't worry. Rain is always a possibility at WDW. You will do fine.

I wouldnt be too overly concerned with the forecast. Yes, go prepared for the worst, but in most cases, Orlando gets brief showers, then it clears. I think in 14 trips, we have only had 3 days of daylong rains. Not too bad. We will be there in 11 days and cant wait, rain or shine. Have a great trip!

We've been getting A LOT of rain in Florida the last couple weeks, have no idea where it all came from. For the most part I wouldn't worry too much, you might have a day or two of some longer showers, but for the most part it should just be your normal afternoon quickie ;)

We had 14" at our house in the past 2 days. The funny thing is the airport (about 15 miles from me) recorded 2". We've caught up for sure after the long summer drought. Unfortunately it's mostly coastal rain and not sure if it's getting to the aquifer. Hopefully Chris, Lake O is getting back to normal after the rain you guys had.

Actually, all the rain basically falls in a circle around Lake Okeechobee, at least it seems like it. From what I've heard, the lake is still very low on water levels, even with all this rain.
I have a rain guage at my house and it's recorded probably around 9-10" but over the last week and a half. I know you guys have been getting a lot of rain up there, they've been showing it on the local weather forecasts.

Isn't that what got you in trouble in the first place? But that's for another thread.:lmao:
In PA, we are way below for rainfall - that same weather system that is stalled over Florida bringing the rain down south is funneling all our rain north into NY. It won't last forever, though, and I figure will have moved on by the time we come down on the 17th.
Like my Father in law used to say when he lived in Florida - if you don't like the weather, just wait an hour.

Man, we're not getting it in WNY. We've had a little lately, but we're only at about 50% of rainfall for the year!
It'll be nice in early December when I get down there. (I hope)

Yeah, my mom said she isn't getting much in WNY. But on the eastern side of PA, it looks on the weather maps like SE NY is getting some, maybe not enough, though. I know the last couple of rain systems that went through missed the Lehigh Valley and went north of us. I haven't mowed the lawn in weeks.

Please don't begrudge Florida the rain!! We desperately need it!
I live 30 miles west of the Fort & our lakes, canals and rivers are so low!!! There is a chain of lakes in Polk County connected by man-made canals that fairly larges boat should be able to navigate with ease. Well, these are all bone-dry. The "chain" has been broken!
I don't want anyone's vacation ruined by the weather, but we really need the rain!
