Anyone familiar with Silver Lake? I am considering doing the sales presentation there to get a good rate on stay. Anyone done this? Any information is much appreciated!

DFIL is an owner here and we stayed a few years ago. I'll be staying at Silver Lake next month through an RCI exchange. The resort and rooms are very nice (it's DFIL's favorite) and the location is good.

I've never done the presentation before, so I can't help you with that.

We got an exchange there about 5 years ago from my step-mom. It was a nice place, and it's in a great location. The sales presentation was not too hard sell, but I was upset that they charged us $25 to attend. If we went, we got Sea World tickets, if not, we lost our $25.

the location is great - but all Orlando timeshares are over priced - especially if you buy from them (developer). so don't.

We own there and are very happy with it. As Spiceycat said buy used. We got a deeded unit for only $500 US

The oldest section has the largest rooms but note that they are 3 stories with no elevators. The newer buildings all have elevators. I only mention this in case it matters to you. Several years ago, when we stayed there, we requested a first floor or elevator access and they gave us a nice 2BR on the 1st floor. We liked the large pool area, the nice fitness center, business/computer room and the huge game room for the kids. It was a pleasant week and well-located, near AK.
