Monday 17th september

Today was lovely and sunny...we were hoping to see fantasmic today so again I found myself watching for rain

we arrived at MGM just in time to see the opening ceremony. 1st stop was TOT as the kids were insiting I ride it this year !! well im proud to say I did ride it and I LOVED IT !!!
We rode it 6 times over the course of the day, 4 times on the front row

As we had been to MGM loads of times we really took it easy today and concentrated on the rides/shows that we love. I was dissapointed that there was no HSM pep rally as i knew dd would have loved that.

We watched the Lights moteurs action show and got some great seats....as predicted DS loved this !!

we then rode the backlot tour as this is one of my favourites.

we had our lunch at Rosie's cafe and had the burgers, we had an early lunch as we had a dinner reservation at 5pm for the fantasmic dining package at mama melrose.

While we were waiting for the little mermaid show to begin dd was asked to announce the start and she had to stand on a small stage and say ....My name is Ellie and its time for the little mermaid show !!
then ds threw a strop because he wasn't asked !

we then went to see the muppets 3D show..we all love this one

I have to say I missed mickey in his scorerer outfit and I would probably have been brave enough to ride RnRC but it was closed for rehab.

The package at Mama Melrose was brilliant, we ordered from the regular menu and the food was lovely ....made a nice change after last night !

i had this to start with Artisan Breads and Spreads - freshly baked breads served with an arugula and chive pesto, sun-dried tomato, roasted vegetable and roasted garlic spread
it was lovely but there was lots of it I shared it with dh and the kids

dh had Mozzarella and Tomatoes - with marinated sweet onions, balsamic drizzle, extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil

for our main courses i had Penne Alla Vodka with pancetta and sweet onion, finished with tomato basil sauce, cream, vodka and pecorino romano
again i didn't finish it, much to my disgust...it was really nice

and dh had Charred Butcher Tender Steak over roasted red pepper polenta, grilled asparagus, with gorgonzola butter and red wine reduction

DD had pizza here and DS had bolognaise and they enjoyed their meals as well
they had a lovely salad for their starter

For dessert we had Honey Hazelnut and Ricotta Cheesecake for me

we rode TOT again afterwards and got to oscars in time for them to let us in for Fantasmic, luckily the weather stayed lovely and we really enjoyed fantasmic.
after that we got the bus back to pop

Tomorrow...EPCOT a dis meet and Illuminations

Well done on going on Tower of Terror (I knew you would like it ;) )

Once again your food looks great, and I wouldn't mind trying that Tiramasu myself

Yummy looking food at Mama Melrose Nat! Well done on going on TOT, I am so not doing that though ;)

Wow, Natalie, I am so impressed at you going on ToT! Every year I say maybe this year, but I never go on it. That bread was another one I couldn't believe was a starter! Shame for Ellie that there was no HSM. When we were there it was all songs from the second one which we didn't know anyway (hmm, now I do but that wouldn't make them any better!)
