Cast of Characters:
First there's me... Pam aka Dreamcruiser100, The Dis'er of the family!!
Then there's DH... Who wonders how I can spend hours on the Dis' board, although he can spend hours on Fordtruckworld LOL
and of course DD.. Our Miracle and the light of our lifes, and 8 year old dream come true!!
So WHY A DREAMCRUISE???
As Julie Andrews once sang...Let's start at the very beginning...a very good place to start!!!
It all started with 4 little words, LET'S HAVE A BABY!!, seems easy enough right...........WRONG!!
Without boring you with all the details, It seems as I am unable to carry a baby of my own without the help of daily shots
to the abdomen or complete bed rest for the entire 9 month pregnancy. It took having 4 miscarriages and a billion visits to different doctors
to find this out.
OUR MIRACLE ARRIVED!!!
After daily steriod shots and 9 months of bedrest our beautiful daughter was born..... 118 pounds had been added to my normally size 10 body, I became
OBESE, there I was 8 years later well over 275 pounds, still
unable to pull it together, or get the weight off...UNTIL I had a LIGHTBULB MOMENTat a Christian Womens Conference a little over a year ago. The question
we were given during one of the lectures was, What are YOUR favorite things?......I thought....I thought some more....I broke down and cried, sobbed, and finally realized
I had NO IDEA what I loved, I could tell you what my FAMILY LOVED....but me...I hadn't given it a thought in almost 8 years...I WAS LOST in the business of being a
full time wife and mother, I had taken down all the full size mirrors in the house, I had resigned to being a "BIG" lady, and took the comments, the looks, and misconceptions
of being BIG in stride, and found myself immune to them, until that very moment, when I realized that I was not my BEST self and How could I give my family the BEST
If I was LOST...well I came home a changed lady, I began to write down things like, raquetball, biking, waterski-ing, THAT'S IT!! I LOVED DOING things, and at
my weight I was unable to do them. The journey began......... one that is still continueing today............

So you want to lose 100 pounds???
That's what I told the trainer when I met with him. The convenient thing
of it all was I now work part-time as a Program Director for the YMCA. I had
the blessing of working in a place that supported a healthy lifestyle..and one
of the best trainers in the world (ok so I'm a little byest) THIS MAN KICKS
MY HINEY, AND I DO MEAN KICKS!!!
I diet, exercise, diet, exercise, train, diet, exercise..blah blah blah.. I start thinking I deserve a reward for all this hard work..
OF COURSE...A FAMILY CRUISE...A DISNEY CRUISE!!!,
a DREAMCRUISE I'll plan for October for a 100 pound loss.
DH thinks its a great idea, we are booked (ok so we had some booking issues, who cares, they got fixed right) OCTOBER 27, 2007!! I am a huge fan of
planning so of course I google and find THE DISBOARDS!!:cool1: I need a name yep, what else dreamcruiser100!!!!

Well, months pass, pounds drop...LIFE HAPPENS..pounds come back on..The cruise gets closer....I make amazing DIS friends on our meet thread....Pounds drop...pounds come back..still working hard, still having my HINEY KICKED 3 days per week..Have I lost the 100 pounds I was dreaming of................
.........................................NO, but thats not what really matters, I won't be sporting the bathing suit I had hoped to wear, or that pretty little black dress.... I am happier, I am healthier, I am continuing my dream of cruising 100 pounds lighter, and I am 65 pounds down!!!! I am still a "big" lady, wearing plus size clothes. But this will be my
DREAMCRUISE!!and I will book on board again..YEP..I can do it...100 pounds..piece of cake ( with splenda of'course )

I'm in for this trippie too.
Your title caught my eye because I too am trying to lose 100 pounds. I have lost 40 so far and our cruise is in Feb. 2008 and I'd love to reach my goal (or even be close) by then.
I can't wait to see how it all turns out for you. Keep writing. Your fans are waiting ... and rooting for you!! :)

Well Pam you went & made me cry darn you...........:sad1:
The whole story is just so touching & I "know" you & love you already. Good grief.
You know I am right there with you on this whole weight loss journey....I still have a way to go too, but I try to keep on plugging along. You have done amazing so far :cheer2: & I know you can do it. We just have to keep cheering each other on & believing in ourselves. There will be ups & downs & I am ok with that. I always say "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming" like Dory. :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: I am not going to be where I want to be by the cruise either, but I know I look better than I did when I started this journey & I feel better too.
I can't wait to meet you!!!!!!!!!!

So the cruise is just weeks away, I don't even remember what's in my cruise box LOL, We will be going to the Disney Outlet in Orlando this weekend to finish purchasing DD's Disney wardrobe, We will also be looking for our "Formal" Wear. I am just planning on wearing a nice dress and DH a Sport Jacket and tie.
I will not be packing a bathing suit, Maybe some Men's swim shorts and a t-shirt, I plan on wearing Capri's mostly. It's amazing how you can have MONTHS to plan but then feel overwelmed when it comes down to the last few weeks. AHH but it is SOOOO worth it...................Can't wait to ly on a lounge chair in the caribbean sun..

Back from a long day at work. I will be going thru the cruise box tonight.
I have several SUPRISES from Tink for my DD, Tink is the only "character" my DD believes in, not Santa or anyone else:guilty: ,she never really has believed. BUT TINK, yep she believes ever since she was chosen to Wake Tink at Disney one morning. Anyhoo, I have been purchasing small treasures for Tink to leave her each evening along with some fairy dust. I need to remember what I have now because I have forgotten LOL. I did purchase some pins for her to trade as long as a few special ones. I also wanted to pack little goodies for our room steward each night, I bought a small cardboard treasure chest that I am going to leave the goodies in with a note
reminding them to check the box each night:goodvibes
Now the bathing suit debate....YUCK....I have cellulite ontop of my cellulite:rotfl2: I think swim trunks are the most appropriate for me, unfortunatley I am not as young as I use to be so my weight loss has left me with some elephant skin ( I know GROSS!!! ) I do plan on having an airbrush tan done so that should help with the "healthy glow":dance3: and after the 100lb mark I will be visiting Dr. Plastic OH YEAH!!!
Ok, guess I have bored you enough, next up will be itinary and packing lists OH MY!!!!!!!
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: To all those who have been kind enough to read and have left an encouraging word.. It is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!

Oh you! You made me cry too!
I used to be almost twice the size am now. I have more skin hanging off my legs than at a football factory.
I still wear a bathing suit! LOL The rest of my body looks ok, but the legs are a disaster. I have Dercum's disease and lipedema which makes the legs a bit hopeless.
So I'm an oddity.
I'm in Tampa, well, Land O' Lakes. Hi neighbor! Enjoy your amazing cruise!

You could get one of those swimming suits with the shorts attached.. have you seen those? Just a suggestion.
I haven't lost as much as you but I've lost 35 lbs. in the last 14 months and I have some extra stuff around my middle to.... so I can understand where you're coming from.
Disneygrl36
10-04-2007, 11:59 AM
Pam, I will be wearing a bathing suit even though I am sure I will be self-conscious. I don't care. I always put on shorts over my one-piece & drop them at the very side of the pool in a stealthy type maneuver.....:lmao:
I love the cruise box contenet list. I will have to rummage through mine. I have to get mine together soon because I am mailing some stuff ahead so I don't have to pack it all. 2 bags a piece doesn't seem too much when you have all these costumes to pack.

BUY A BATHING SUIT!!!!
Take it from Lovable....
You'll be FINE....
I always think I'll be the ony one who stands out at WDW - I guess I look at too many of those photos with waif like models in them (who need to have a good meal, by the way...)
Try Lands End. Their bathing suits are GREAT and they have the shorts kind also...
You may even get something on sale too.... don't forget to check the overstocks and the sale items...
Had hoped to be on this cruise with you guys but scheduling got in the way...
Have fun and take lots of pictures!!!

Decided today NO SWIMSUIT!! I will pack a pair of swimtrunks, but I found some very light weight white capri's and I have a see through white coverup that I can wear a tank over, then I can wade in the water and splash around. Every suit I tried I just couldn't get over how:eek: I looked. So I will be happy and will think about next year.......................
Hope everyone has a great week, DH class reunion is this weekend...DREADING THIS ONE, not a porker in the bunch LOL:lmao: :rotfl2:

It's totally up to you... I agree do what you feel comfortable with! But be aware you will see all kinds of people, all shapes and sizes in suits on a cruise. I think most people think, what the heck, I don't know anyone anyway!!
I didn't wear a suit on our 3 day cruise because I was pregnant. And I really couldn't see buying a maternity suit for a 3 day cruise. So I just sat on the beach and put my feet in, and sat on a deck chair by the pool in my tshirt and shorts. (I didn't last long, and I got hot!)

ACK ACK ACK!!! NO TIME NO TIME!!! Not like I had almost a year..........:scared1:
Trying to decide what to wear to DH's reunion is driving me nuts
Friday is a meet and greet in the evening by the pool:scared1:
Saturday is breakfast and then a day at the beach :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
Saturday is a formal affair ( got that one covered, get it covered LOL:rotfl2: )
Sunday is Church ( He graduated from a private Christian High School and everyone is going to attend the Sunday service like the good ole days)
so that outfit is covered as well.
SO NO TIME to plan packing for the cruise, or do weekend chores/cleaning
Next weekend, Saturday dinner out of town with friends we hardly ever get to see, they live 3 hours away so we will go for the day.....Sunday Church, prepare for the week and catch up on all the work I didn't do this weekend...
THEN WE CRUISE.................

Ok, I am in a much calmer mood now, I have MIL proofed, the kitchen, den,DD's room, guest bath and family room. Now for my room and the office ( have to put all of our mail in the safe as she will snoop thru the banking and bills:mad: ) Once that is done I will have tomorrow to pack and get all the girly stuff done, you know all that stuff we do to HIDE WHAT WE REALLY LOOK LIKE....Here is my sad little list
1. Hair cut, colored, highlighted
2. manicure and pedicure/ nail fill in/ white tips
3. Eyebrows shaped
4. shave, exfoliate then spray tan
and of course then there is the GIRDLE, makeup, jewlery, hair products....etc..... I'm suprised DH reconizes me in the morning when the REAL me smiles back at him.............:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :scared1:
Well off to MIL proof and spend some time with DD before she's off to bed!
Oh dear Pam.........all that I have on my agenda is a pedicure. I think I might not be up to par. What's up with that?

I survived DH's Reunion Weekend
Hello everyone, Dh and I got home from his reunion late last night and I must say I had a BLAST!!! By the end of the first night meet and greet poolside, I was lounging on a deck chair in my P.J.'s sipping a vodka and cranberry laughing with all of the other reunion "widows". DH and I had such a good time dancing and goofing around, I should warn you now that my DH is a RIOT, a non'drinker who acts like he's had a few and has NO INHIBITIONS when it comes to being the life of the party and goofy-ing it up. I didn't have to do the bathing suit thing and although I do think I was the heaviest woman there, everyone seemed so nice and complimentary. I always knew my DH had good taste when it came to friends LOL!! I'm glad I had the chance to "do" the beach/pool thing because now I know which outfits will work, you know you plan to wear something then once their you find out the one thing you thought you wouldn't wear was what you wore MOST!!
I'll be spending the rest of the morning working on our cruise T and T stuff, I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!
My DH just informed me that my MIL will be staying at our house during our weekend away this week, so that she can watch our pets,(usaully my DM just takes the dog to her house and my neighbor watches over the cat but she's out of town) ANWAY.............so what right.........NOT!!! MIL is an "interesting" lady and about as nosey and hard to please as they come, afterall NO ONE is good enough for her baby boy, (SHE SHARED THAT WITH ME ON OUR WEDDING DAY) so on top of EVERYTHING ELSE now I have to MIL proof my home and make sure it is "Practically Perfect in Every Way" COME ON PEOPLE GIVE THE GIRL A BREAK:lmao:
ok, So I have no idea what this has to do with my TRIP REPORT or why I am airing my :laundy: BUT, it's my TRIPPIE, so you'll just have to ride the waves with me till I get to the GOOD PART:dance3: :goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2
Hi, just started reading and had to comment on this one. My MIL and FIL had once said to my then boyfriend- I hope you're not shacking up with THAT GIRL- now after almost 20 years together and 15 years married- my MIL gave me the nicest compliment just recently -about being the best thing that ever happen to her son( only child) and the best mother to her only grandson- although I still think she blames me for missing his birth- DS was born 6 weeks early- long story short-went into labor and dr stopped contractions- she and FIL left on vacation to Branson,MO after I promised every thing would be ok- next morning water broke and DS was born

Toss off the weight worries and focus on FUN.
I wandered around Castaway Cay in a bathing suit with no cover up. I didn't feel like anyone stared, except for a couple of women who just had to know where I bought my Mickey suit from. (www.disneyshopping.com)
No one ran off screaming when they were exposed to the puddles of hanging skin pooling around my legs.

THE DIS MOONIE SCAVENGER HUNT
All of our Moonie kids who wanted to participate signed up on our meet thread to be a part of our own DIS Scavenger Hunt. We divided the kids into age groups and they along with a chaperone/parent will start in the lobby of the Atrium with their first clues which will lead them to different locations around the ship. At each location they will pick up a new clue and a puzzle piece. After everyone has received their final clues they will all end up in Diversions where they will put all their puzzle pieces together to find out where the TREASURE is ( each family brought goodies to contribute)

I just finished reading your pre-trip report. You have encouraged me. I have lost 30 lbs. and need to lose another 100. It's a hard battle and is sometimes uphill (as you know). My prayers will be with you that you are given the strength to go the distance. I hope your trip was fantastic! And, I too understand the hard times of having children. My DH and I decided not to pursue all the shots and we have adopted a beautiful little girl (now 5 yrs. old) from Vietnam. We are awaiting to hear about another little girl from Vietnam to adopt. My prayer for you is that your heart is lifted daily and you are strengthened every time you feel like you can't go on. May He hold you up and walk you through the difficult times. Keep up the great work! Kristi

JUST KIDDING!!!!
Friday: DH had to drive straight back from his job in Alabama, help me load up the car and then head straight out to Liberty Tree Tavern to meet up with our DIS friends. We made it from our house to dinner at LTT in less than 1 hour, it was PIXIE DUST, no traffic, lights all green, tram waiting, no line for the monorail, no line at the entrance turn styles...a wonderful way to start vacation:banana:
We had a wonderful time with our fellow DIS'ers, Kim,Paula,Mike,Mike,Lynn and our kiddo's hit it off tremendously, sitting at a table all to themselves. They were giggling so much you'd of thought they had been friends for years. Remind me to tell you about the servers later...
Anyhoo, dinner was great and we headed straight to BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD afterwards for DD's first time riding. SHE loved it!! We did some trick or treating rode a few more rides and got a great seat for the parade (again ask for details later) after the parade we headed to our hotel since DH had been up over 30 hours straight. The hotel was nice, comfy beds, buffet breakfast included. ( Best Western at the Airport)

Saturday!!! It's time to go!!!
We got up fairly early, packed up our small bag and headed down for breakfast at the hotel. No one ate much as we were sooo excited. DH got the car and we headed for the port..DH WANTED TO UPGRADE??,WHO IS THIS STRANGER BESIDE ME??WAIT FOR IT, ONE MORE HILL, THERE SHE IS OH MY GOODNESS, THE MAGIC HOORAY!!! We got to the port around 9:30am and of course we were sent to the parking lot across the street to wait. I showed DH how to park so that we could be the first to pull across LOL. At the Magical time of 10:15am we were hurried across.DH unloaded and I took my already filled out documents straight inside with DD trailing behind me......TA-DA NUMBER 2 BOARDING PASS WOO HOO,funny I didn't even think I cared about that but it was so cool when they handed it to me.Now DH gets moving and we wait behind the supervisors desk, I spot a few more DIS'ers so I leave the counter for a moment....When I come back............DH HAS UPGRADED US FROM A CAT 9 TO A CAT 4 SUITE WOO HOO WOO HOO AGAIN, never mind that about 50 dis'ers are expected to go to my room ( the old one) to drop off treats or that every Dis info sheet will now have the wrong room number....HA I HAVE A VERANDAH NOW DARLIN'

Day 1 Continued:
So we get on board, they announce our name wrong, WHO CARES we are finally here!! We get to TopSiders for some lunch and DH can't find his sunglasses?? OH NO HE MUST HAVE LEFT THEM WHEN WE HAD OUR EMBARKMENT PHOTO TAKEN??? DD and I stay at Topsiders while DH gets permission to head off-board and look for his glasses........HMM..seems the CM remembers him taking them off but they are gone now...WHERE'S MY DISNEY MAGIC??? DH fills out a lost and found report and heads back to Topsiders feeling betrayed....They were expensive Oakley sunglasses, ones DH uses for work, and now he would be in the Caribbean sun without them....
PIXIE DUST/MAGICAL MOMENT #2 YES ladies and gentleman you need not fear, DH's glasses were turned in about an hour later!!! Now that's some awesome Disney Magic for ya... So after lunch we head down to the Goofy pool to secure a good spot for our DIS meet. My DD had been emailing with another DIS'ers DD for months and they were so excited to meet each other all DD kept asking was WHERE IS M.E.
PIXIE DUST/MAGICAL MOMENT #3
M.E.'s mom finds me in my Lime Green and we exchange smiles and talk about how are daughters are looking forward to meeting each other and low and behold we spot them inline BEHIND EACH OTHER for the Mickey slide, we are screaming like idiots Taylor that's M.E. M.E. that's Taylor, pointing and laughing at the coincidence of them being right next to each other and not knowing it!!!
Down the slide they go and we are finally able to get them to realize who each other is

We make it to dinner at Luminere's ( we had LAPL) and already TWO of our tablemates were in their rooms fighting sea sickness. DD got bored and headed to the kid's club before her meal arrived. We had a table for 10, ALL DIS'ers.

Monday!! DAY #2 and boy did I feel better!!! I got up and went up to Topsiders to bring back a good breakfast for DD and thank goodness I was HUNGRY!! all ate breakfast on the verandah and then went to soak up some rays NOT ( the clouds were among us:sad1: ) and watch DD swim for awhile. DH came to releave me from my parental duties so I could get ready for our DIS T and T. I met up with Kimmie and we got a porter to take all of the treats to Diversions in a LAUNDRY CART!!! yes, we had sooo many treats that we filled the cart LOL, Kimmie bought these great pirate bags for everyone and we along with Kimberly (kchartsf) filled them. The CM's in the bar traded us beverages for candy LOL and we were happy to oblige. I wish I could say that I took pictures but I didn't take a single one:sad1: It worked out very well and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves ( other than trying to find my room the first few days because the stateroom number changed 3 times :cool2: :sad2:

You did an amazing job putting this together. Thanks so much! :thumbsup2
The treat bags were filled to the brim for the kids and that's after all the cute waiters in the bar took their favorites! Trying to describe how it took a big laundry cart to get all the goodies down to the bar... and for only what... 36 kids? :lmao:
You all are so very welcome it was great fun!!! I hope to do it again with our next Dis group.
I was hoping you would be doing this again
DS had great fun , he was in your DH's group
sorry I had the camera with me but forgot to take any photos :confused3
I think we will need to arrange with DCL for somewhere to do it next time as it was a pity we had to keep the kids quite with the wedding going on next door

THANK YOU KIMMIE FOR HAVING THE ORIGINAL IDEA AND ALLOWING ME TO RUN WITH IT!!
Okay let's see now, where was I??? Oh yes, The Scavenger Hunt went well and althoug there was a beer tasting going on in Diversions and a Wedding in Sessions, we were able to convene in the hallway, distribute the treats and get outta there with little fuss!!
I just realized I forgot Palo Brunch was this day also..SHEESH people are right when they say you forget the details quickly....Ok Palo Brunch Here we go...
We were fortunate enough to have Palo brunch in the private room with many DIS friends. We had a nice time, although I agree that the walk around and let me explain the food thing was a little silly and WEARING HEELS ON A ROCKING SHIP IS A BIG NO NO!! I was glad I read that others on our cruise felt it was very difficult to wlak in heels and carry food through Palo's, All in all the food was good, I am not a fancy person so I was more impressed with the presentation of the food than the taste LOL, The Pizza is very good, except the "sweet" pizza YUCK!!! The deserts looked better than they tasted I thought, but then again I have simple tastes!! We VERY MUCH ENJOYED the company of our DIS friends and SASHA our Palo server extraordinaire was wonderful as well. I do think we will plan on doing this again next year.

Ok, I just came to the realization that if I try to write out all the details it may take ME FOREVER to finish this report and since I HATE IT when I start reading a trip report and it just stops......with no conclusion I have decided to change the format of my trippie and start writing the "HIGHLIGHTS" the "LOWS" and a synopsis of the islands, excursions BLAH BLAH and B-Lah...........So let's see.... I will start with Umm. DIS STUFF!!!
DISCLAIMER !!! THE BELOW WRITINGS ARE MY OPINIONS ONLY :dance3:
What I learned from the DIS boards that came in handy!!
1. If you want to upgrade at the port, arrive early and park across the street where you can EASILY pull out to the entrance as soon as the clock strikes 10:15am. IF I had not known this trick I doubt we would have gotten our upgrade as I heard there were only a few available the day of our cruise.
2. HAVE ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK COMPLETED BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AND DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN ONLINE!!
3. As corny as it is, it was VERY FUN to have on identical t-shirts and made for a great embarkment photo!! It was also fun to be able to "meet" other DIS'ers because we all had "matching" shirts.
4. SIGN UP YOUR KIDDO FOR THEIR CLUBS IN THE TERMINAL EARLY AS THE LINE GETS LONG QUICKLY!!
5. I loved having door signs and a fish extender, it was great fun making them and giving and recieving treats was very fun!!
6. The EXTENSION CORD AND SUCTION CUP HOOKS were the two things I found invaluble, also the pop up hamper for dirty laundry and the night light. Most of the other DIS Recommended things never came out of the suitcase:upsidedow
7. Having a V-erandah...darl'in was AWESOME and I recommend it to anyone who is undecided about it.
8. TAKE MOTION SICKNESS TABLETS BEGINNING A DAY OR TWO BEFORE YOU CRUISE IF YOU ARE UNSURE HOW THEY WILL MAKE YOU FEEL. THEY MADE ME CRANKY!! AND TIRED!!, and I didn't really start feeling GREAT until Tuesday or Wednesday.
9. YOU CAN NOT DO IT ALL, DON'T EVEN TRY!!! we only made it to two shows, missed tons of photo opts, ditched one of our excursions and still had a BLAST!! I am soo glad that I didn't freak out over this.
10. GO AHEAD AND BUY THE MEGA MONEY ARCADE CARD ON THE FIRST NIGHT, WE SPENT WAY WAY MORE THAN I THOUGHT we would and we really would have made out better if we would have just gone for broke the first time LOL.
11.Being a member of the DIS made our trip so much more fun!!, make sure and try to get your whole family involved in the planning and the DIS experience:dance3:

Thank you for all the work you did to help make this cruise special for everyone. While the ToT was going on, DW and I took the opportunity to visit everyone's fish extenders. We thought it would be a nice surprise to think all was done (ToT), and get back to find more at the room.

Sean, What a Great Idea!!! Thank you!!!
Resaurant Reviews and other Food stuffs!!
We had the 8:30pm seating, and LOVED IT!! No rushing, fussing, and we went to the shows in our "cruise" clothes and changed into our already laid out dinner clothes afterwards. It worked great, and the pools were almost empty!!
We had LAPL rotation HATED IT!! as Luminere's was our least favorite resturant. And we were there for Pirate Night. Parrot Cay was our favorite!!
Favorite Foods:
My most favorite thing was the White Chocolate Dome!!! I even took a second one back to my room for later YUMMY!!! All the dinner food was good, simple tastes remember!! I really wished they would have had just a plain salad, potato, steak type deal. Our server did come up with this option a few times to my delight but it was NOT a menu choice.
FOOD ON DECK: FRESH FRUIT,FRESH FRUIT YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!, and the cheeseburgers and pizza were good too!! Oh yeah YUMMY ICECREAM!!!
Room Service: Well it was cool that is was FREE but our order was wrong everytime!! Cereal NO milk, Toast, NO butter or jam, FRENCH FRIES, with MAYO no Ketchup?? 4 cookies when we ordered 2 and 1 Mickey bar but we asked for 4, we didn't complain because it was FREE but next time we might.
Palo, DH and I had dinner for 2 and it was lovely. They had a nice Filet on the Menu and Sasha brought us out several dishes to try. Whatever lemony-champagne thingy they served was AMAZING!! and the sorbet to clense the pallet was the BEST LOL, I could've eaten a whole bowl LOL LOL
Here are some various pics of food, yep I know, silly DIS'ers

Ok the EXCURSIONS we took, we had others, but dumped them, and we didn't get to Castaway Cay because of Hurricane Noel:sad1:
St. MAARTEN Butterfly farm tour- I liked this laid back tour, it was short, interesting, and you have just enough time to enjoy the butterflies, by the time we were about to say, well I'm done...It was time to go, we saw alot of the island by air conditioned bus and the driver was very informative. We were back by lunch and able to DD in the club so DH and I could explore on our own. We had a blast together.
St. Thomas - Took the Coral World/Mountain top excursion YAWN!!! We are very spoiled I guess living in Florida as we have an amazing aquarium, this one was very "poor" and the only thing we liked was the iguana's who were running loose. We ditched the tour early and walked to Coki beach next door. We wish we would have just went on our own to the beach and shopping, again though the door got finished early so DH and I again took DD to the Club ( which she WANTED VERY MUCH to do ) and went back out to explore on our own.
NASSUA- been there, done that was suppose to be our Castaway day:sad1: We grabbed a taxi to the beach and enjoyed the day, although DH had to HOLD DD in the waves as they were CRAZY!!

Hello DreamCruiser100. We 2 are on the Oct. 25, 08 cruise. :cool1: Reading your report has me  .
We are taking my DB and DSIL with us this time and I can't even begin to explain to them how much fun they are going to have.
My dd is turning 10 in a few days. Your daughter looks to be close to her age. I'm sorry if I missed that fact somewhere along the way.
I am trying to lose weight for this cruise. I have a trainer 2 days a week and I'm holding my own so far. I'm down 22, I think since Dec. 13th. I really, really want to be in the 170's or below by cruise time. Anyway...
I enjoyed your report. Palo brunch looks too yummy. Definitely gonna do that this time. We did dinner on our first cruise and it was good. I'm not fancy either and was a little intimidated.
See ya in a few months!

I was referring to purchasing the largest dollar amount card available instead of thinking you won't use all of a small one. The more money you spend the more points you get so it is a much more economical choice to purchase a $50 card then 5 - $10 cards throughout the cruise.
( In case this is your first cruise..The arcade works by purchasing an arcade card from a "vending" machine. The arcade does not take coins or tokens. You purchase an arcade card sorta of like an atm card and you swipe it to play each game. Each game is a certain # of points to play. The points are deducted from your card and when it is empty you can either reload it or purchase a new one. I can't remember the exact point value of each card but I know the more $ you spent on the initial card the better the value. Hope this makes sense?? If not I will try to explain it again??

It all started with 4 little words, LET'S HAVE A BABY!!, seems easy enough right...........WRONG!!
Without boring you with all the details, It seems as I am unable to carry a baby of my own without the help of daily shots
to the abdomen or complete bed rest for the entire 9 month pregnancy. It took having 4 miscarriages and a billion visits to different doctors
to find this out.
.
Just wanted to say I just found yoru TR and look forward to reading it. Congrats on your baby! I can sympathize with you...I have two and had to do twice daily injections in the belly during both pregnancies (and for about 6 weeks post partum).
Can't wait to read through the TR! THANKS IN ADVANCE! :surfweb:

Great TR!
You can be very proud of yourself. Obviously you made a committment to yourself and family, and can be proud of your accomplishments! Keep up the good work.:yay:
I loved the T/T Scavenger Hunt idea! Our cruise leaves the day after Halloween, so many children will be traveling to get to the cruise instead of TorT at home. We might use the Scavenger Hunt idea to make up for them missing TorT.
