Ok - here's a question for all of you -
If you had to choose one of the dinner shows at WDW - which one would you choose? We haven't been to any of these yet and have to make a choice - our kids are 11 and 16 -
Hoop De Doo?
Hawaiian Luau?
Mickey's Backyard Barbecue....
Are there others that I might not be aware of?
And.... how much $$ would it cost for a family of 4?
Thanks

Can't help with the best..... But regardless of what anyone says, stay away from Hoop De Doo....
Prices I find are prohibitive when you pay for 3-6 year old children prices and the food is well cooked admittedly, but it is fried chicken after all.....
The show is beyond corny and I did not laugh, nor did the kids for the most part. Add to that leaving a park early on a gorgeous day to get there, the $200 US price tag (did not get the 10% American Express discount I was told on the phone) just added to the feeling of being fleeced.
Personally I'd make sure your kids (who are older) really want to see the show and will eat.
Hoop De Doo is a Western Saloon type show.
Could have gotten a bucket of KFC, shortcake from the supermarket and popped in Blazing Saddles for $25....

The Hoop Dee Doo is soooooo expensive for us. I might be incline for the Backyard BBQ, the Luau sounds nice too, but $$$$$$. Good luck in picking one!

Going to Orlando Mar 17 & are planning on Luau at Seaworld. Right now you can buy tickets Cdn at Par. You should check out the website at Seaworld.com. Dinner looks good and at par price suite me just fine considering the exchange right now. The # is 1-800-327-2424. If you tell them you saw it on the net they will also give you an additional $5.00 discount. Offer only good on adult & junior pricing. Am planning on booking Sunday or Monday. Will let you know if the booking went smoothly or not.

The Poly Luau was great the food was really hot (spicey) and I didn't care for it as I am not much of a spicey food person but the show itself was worth the cost of admission. Anyone I know that has seen the Hoop Dee Doo just loved it and yes it is corney but that is all part of the show they put their own little twist on a western show and we are planning on that one next visit. We only ever go in Dec so we don't get to do the BBQ as it is or was seasonal. I would actually like to see all the shows if not for the food just for the show

To each his own.... I still cringe at the money wasted on Hoop de doo.... To spend $200-$250 for family of 4 (3 and 5 year olds), just made me shake my head.... We still sing Hoop de doo to laugh at the waste....
