I am posting sitting on the floor of my tent!

The weather has been great this weekend apart from a bit of heavy rain on Saturday. Today has been cooler and windy.

Park attendance was really light this morning but it picked up in the late afternoon.

The real amazing thing is that my loop was jam packed yesterday and then I returned from the parks today to find that I was one of only a couple campers remaining! Someone told me that they had to bring extra staff over from the golf courses to assist with checkouts and site cleanups. Last night was like a block party and tonight is a ghost town.

My DD (4) went on Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and The Haunted Mansion all for the first time today.

Last night we ate at Bistro De Paris. It was a wonderful experience. I ate the Watercress Soup with Frog legs and Rack of Lamb. My DW had the tasting menu with Salmon/Crab dome, Red snapper on spaghetti, Morel Mushroom and Beef Tenderloin, Cheese course, desert. It was not a cheep dinner but for a once in a blue moon it is a great ambiance with great service.

We are going over to Epcot tomorrow for the 25th anniversary of the park. Some of my oldest memories of Disney World are going to EPCOT as a kid so I am pretty excited about the re-dedication ceremony.

So far this has been a great trip. I will try to post later in the week if anything interesting happens. I haven't even been to the food and wine festival yet.

Wow, sounds like a great trip so far! I'm glad you didn't have much rain, a bit farther south we got almost 2 1/2 inches over the weekend, rained all the time.

Let us know how the Food and Wine fest is, I'm going in a month and can't wait!

Your daughter is really adventurous! When our daughter Meridith was about the same age, she wavered on whether to ride the Big Thunder Mountain. While in line, we were trying to calm her fears before boarding. What did she notice and what scared her?? She noticed that there is no engineer driving the train. She ended up riding and loving it and from that time on, we call it "The Runaway Train" instead of Big Thunder Mountain.

Have fun!!

We were at the Fort in late April/early May and found that during the week, there were lots of sites empty ... however, Friday/Saturday nights were crazy!! That's when most of the locals come to camp.

It's the same here in Michigan with the State Parks ... jam-packed for the weekends and then deserted during the week.

Love those weekdays!!

That's why we've extended our vacation over the years and arrive early in the week, and leave on the Saturday of the second week. That gives us mostly weekdays and only 2-3 days of dealing with weekend warriors.

Thanks for the live report! You know, you can make a soup like this with stuff found around FW and save a few $$.

I can't wait to hear about the anniversary events at EPCOT, and is spaceship earth open again?

Man, I have not had Frog Legs in years! Were they fried or sautéed? Where is this place? Board Walk?

Only had frog legs once, they really do taste like chicken :P

Since there seem to be so many different things that taste like chicken, I have concluded that, in reality, chicken, like tofu, tastes like many different things. Therefore, it is the chicken that tastes like frog legs, not the other way around.

They're actually not too bad. Taste like frogs legs. or is that chicken. Never could remember.
