I can't believe it. We' have our second trip to WDW in 5 months planned, but not completed and I'm already thinking our next should be a cruise. So here's my dilema. I plan vacations when they're on sale. When a cheap airfare is offered at the same time as a deal on motels, then I book a trip. Usually, this is no more than 4-5 months in advance. So when should I be watching for the discount airfares to tie in with what I hope will be a discount cruise. What time of year have you gotten your best deal. Please let me know when you got the deal and for what cruise dates it was for. Thanks.

As far as DCL is concerned, some of their best pricing is now avaiable for select Fall dates. For instance, the Nov. 30th 7-day Magic cruise has pricing starting at about $799 (inside, excl. taxes). The airfares for that time are pretty good too. My wife and I are TA's and have several Fall groups slated, The air from the Northeast (we are in CT) can be under $200, depending on specific times...

Not a lot of "sales" (or is it "Sails" ?) in the summer for DCL. You need to concentrate on the non-school periods for better pricing...

Good Luck !!

Previously DCL would offer promotions, but recently they have restructured thier pricing levels and are rewarding people who book early with the best prices. I would not wait on a cruise to go down in price. Once you chose a date, I would book it.

As for the time of year that the prices are at thier lowest. Sept - Mid Nov have typically been the lowest prices for cruises. Second best would be Jan - Feb.
