I have seen the Happy Birthday sub-board on the Community Board, and I was wondering--who puts those up, and how do they know that it is your birthday? Thanks!

In your user profile, you can enter in your birthdate.

I believe the PTB can see that info and probably have something set up as a "reminder" and one of the mods posts the birthday posts.

You had to enter your birthday when you registered (to make sure you were "legal") That information is available to the mods. Actually if you click on Calendar on the main toolbar you will see all the birthdays for a particular day.

I've been on for a year and when my b-day came around this past June, mine wasn't up there :(

:hug: I'm sorry. Check your profile in the User CP and make sure that your birthday is set in there correctly.

LOL! Thanks :goodvibes. I think I did check my profile and had to add it in there. So maybe next year.

The people who post the Happy Birthday greeting are just regular members (I use to be one) as for how they know, see the "calendar" at the top of this page in the dark blue? If you click on it it brings up the months calender and shows how many birthdays for each day, when you click on the day it shows who's b-day it is.

I think you can hide your birthday in your profile and then it wont show up on the calendar.
