Mmmm
interesting one this, i have travelled with them before and they were fine when you are giving them money but not so hot on the customer services side once THEY have your hard earned dosh.
the flights are all changing for next year no longer 747s but other aircraft but would probably still travel with them *** they are quite cheap, but you can get double baggage allowance at 40kgs per person, which is quite good, they have caused us a bit of grief over next years holiday but thats a different story...
the other company that i recently priced was first choice holidays , they werent too far from the TCD prices but their baggage allow is only 23kgs, if you take the premium seats.
20kgs if you dont,
you will probably get a lot of advice from here as there are a lot of experts.
i would go with tcd again thougH.

:rotfl2: There is NO Disneyland in Florida - however, there is a Walt Disney World....
Disneyland is in California on the left coast.

I would stay well clear of TCD.
On my first trip with them i had opted for car hire and my paperwork etc confrmed this, however when we got to the car hire desk at Sanford there was no record of our booking but because my paperwork said we had car hire they honoured the booking.
The second trip we got to our hotel , ASMov, and found we had no reservation there despite our paperwork saying otherwise. Luckily the CM's on duty quickly resolved the problem.
Our third trip, well that didnt happen as they decided to cancel our flights from Cardiff a couple of months before departure.
So again my advice, STAY WELL CLEAR!!!!

we have used them six times, had a couple of issues but it hasnt put us off, we are trusting them for our wedding in January for the entire wedding party and guests, so we have faith in them
you have good and bad times with all airlines, we just flew virgin and they tv system didnt work at all on the way home but hey it happens

Have to say have flown with tcd twice before and we are going again with them in 11 days time, as yet have never had any reason to fault them. As someone previously mentioned you have good and bad stories from all airlines and travel companies.
We booked flights, car and villa twice and this time flights and car hire and every time I call to ask silly minor details I get nothing but GOOD SERVICE!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

we flew with TCD just recently, and they provided a 1st class service:thumbsup2 , the flight left on time, ( ish) unlike Virgin which i think had a a 3 hr delay by the time we were boarding, though it landed about 1/2 hr late due to storms in and around Orlando.
On the return flight, much the same, left on time, food was Ok as far as airlines go, plenty of complimentary drink.
The only thing we would do different, and this goes for ALL tour operators not just TCD, is to arrange a private transfer from the airport, we sat for about an 1.5 hrs on the coach waiting for people to come through immigration, then had an 1 hr transfer to POR:confused:
But would i reccomend them? Yes, would i use them again ? Yes, without a shadow of doubt.

Used them twice and have no complaints with the service. Don't get one of their AOA villas though, as you can get stuck miles away (Southern Dunes) but the flights are the best value to Florida I've found.
Will not hesitate to use them again.

Thanks for your input.
cokerr - it's a perfectly understandable and common misconception, so please don't it let you put off posting. Hang around here and you'll soon have the lingo off like a pro (and be as anoraky as the rest of us ;) ). Please do post all your questions - we look forward to helping with your trip planning. :goodvibes
P.S. There are also Disneylands in Paris and Hong Kong.

Next year TCD will be completly different to this year, due to the significant change in aircraft types.
The two replacement aircraft for the 747's will not have the upstairs cabin and are much smaller in size, so there will only be two classes of cabin.
there will be either a Boeing 767 or an Airbus A330 (still yet to be confirmed)
Flights will be From Gatwick, Manchester, and from abroad from Glasgow and cardiff :rotfl:
Economy seat pitch will be now between 30-32" (30"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  )
The other cabin will be either XL One (Boeing 767) or Premium (Airbus A330)
Differences in the two "premium" cabins are:
Seat pitch XL One 45", Premium 35"
the rest of the enhacements are the same:
Priority check in
Priority boarding
Welcome aboard drink
40Kg luggage allowance
Individual DVD players
upgraded menu
Orlando Freetime check in
No children under 3 years allowed in the cabin ( discrimination! )
Sunshine express line for car rental
pre book seats for free
the A330 only has 21 seats in premium
as they have not got the 767's yet that is unknown.
Also, they have not yet mentioned if the aircraft will have seat back tvs in Economy or just overhead screens.
