Hello, all. Just wondering if anyone else ever subscribed to Scholastic's Disney Character Ornament offer called Christmas Magic. I got an offer from them today offering two free ornaments if I agree to buy two each month at $9.99 plus S&H.

If anyone knows, are the ornaments nice? Junk? How much is the shipping and handling?

Any information is appreciated if anyone knows about this!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris

Are these made by Grolier's? I think these are the ones I got. They were really nice but ended up being expensive with the shipping.

If they are the Grolier ones then I have some from years ago. They are really nice. I looked into the Scholastic ones but don't want to get duplicates so if anyone has a list of what ornaments they have I'd love to know.

I can't remember who made the ornaments we got, but we definitely signed up through Scholastic. The first ones were Mickey & I think Minnie. They were very cute, although somewhat larger than I would have liked. The 2nd set came & I hated them! Ugly, ugly, ugly!! Simba with a poinsettia collar or something & Pumbaa...what an odd 2nd set I thought! They were also VERY expensive IMHO. So I sent my payment with a cancelation. I had trouble with them continuing to send more ornaments and had to refuse delivery for about 3 more sets. They also kept trying to bill me for the ones I refused - even though I called them at least 4 times about all this.

I was very dissatisfied. :headache:

I forgot about the problems cancelling - I ended up refusing some shipments. There were some I really liked and others that weren't as cute. I think the biggest problem for me is that they ended up being fairly expensive when you added the shipping. They do look great on my disney tree though.

Honestly, if I had it to do again, I wouldn't get them.

I have had alot of problems with cancelling the book club from Scholastic. Horrible customer service, so no matter how cute something is, I wont get sucked in. Plus there S&H is very pricey
