Saturday 8th september

After a lovely restful night without alarms we arrived at our 1st park....Animal Kingdom
we headed straight for Everest and rode once in the standby line and got fastpasses for later, it was a very hot day so we went on kali river rapids and got suitably wet !
we then headed for dinosaur ( i got a glimpse of the dream team here but sadly that was as close as i got all holiday :mad: )
after dinosaur we got ice creams (snack credits !) and waited for the nemo show to start

i enjoyed the nemo show but with AK and Epcot it does seem a bit too much nemo :confused3
we rode Everest again and when we were going through the gift shop a lady stopped me to ask about the ride and i ended up taking her son on it because she was to scared to try it, a cast member let us use the child swop so we didn't have to Q
He loved the ride thankfully....i don't know what i would have done if he had freaked out on me !!

After lunch at flame tree turkey sandwich for me and dh and hot dogs for the kids we saw its tough to be a bug and then went to camp minnie mickey
we were messing about taking photos with goofy when two ladies came over and said......
oh would you like to be in the parade later !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after i stopped jumping about we gladly accepted ! we were told to be at the gate near the safari at 3.30 :woohoo: we arrived on time and met a lovely American family who were also in the parade.
we got dressed up and ready for the off when it started to rain and the parade was cancelled :sad2: :sad2: however we were asked to go back tomorrow and we could try again !
after AK we got the bus to the wilderness lodge for our ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe
i had chosen this place because i thought it would be fun and it did not dissapoint we ended up with Nine bottles of ketchup after Matthew asked for one and when it was our turn to pass them on i got told off for letting the kids take them and was told we should do things as a family :lmao:
the kids ordered melon for Ellie and salad for Mathew followed by cheeseburgers and worms in dirt;)
we both had the skillet and the Kahlua flavoured choc cake :thumbsup2 this was a great start to our free dining and i was very pleased we came :)
