Some friends will be doing the marathon and would like to stay at a value resort. Which value resort would you recommend for adults?
Thanks!

Wherever you can get a reservation! IAre the value resorts becoming sold out by now?
Having said that, I like Pop Century or All-Star Music.

I have stayed at all the values and I think POP is my fav, mostly because it is newer. However they are all basically the same.
I will second that, get ressies now they may be mostly sold out.

I just got back from ASMu a few weeks ago and I have stayed at ASMovies twice before. Having said that I would have to say I would probably try Pop if you are dead set on a value resort. Pop is newer and looks better themed. I wasn't too impressed with ASMu this past trip. There wasn't anything major but I just don't think I'll stay at ASR again.
The biggest issue was the pool. I know it gets crowed in Aug/Sep but the pool was absolutely nasty at night. I mean the ocean water in Atlantic City was cleaner then this pool. I found myself trying to constantly avoid hair balls the size of jelly fish and bandaids at all times. The water was even milky.
I was also not thrilled with housekeeping. The first 2 times we stayed at ASR the kids were thrilled to come back to the room to find their animals posed with towel animals. This time there was no magic. No towel animals. It's a small thing but enough to make me stay away next time.
I'll be at CBR for the marathon and I'm looking forward to it.

We always stay at POP for a couple of reasons. First it is the newest so should be in better shape. And second, but most of all there the POP has their own buses. Whenever we have been to the other values, they all shared the same busses. The busses just went from one resort to the next. Couple of times a bus would pull up almost full because it stopped at the other value resorts on the way.
Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. I can't see spending $200+ a night for a hotel at Disney. I'm just not at the room that much. For under $100 you can still stay on property.

Pop is by far our favorite value resort and we have stayed in all but All Star Movies so far.
