For those of you not reading my thread w/my original question on The Disney Club, I want to pass along a great tip I got from Dis member SINK. I just joined using the four letter code SINK gave me which is "HGEM." That got me $10 off the normal price of $39.95. Besides all the other benefits of membership, they currently are offering a $50 DCL onboard credit for certain sailing dates (including mine!). In other words, I got $50 in onboard credit for just $29.95 (plus a lot of other good stuff). Thanks SINK!

Before you jump in, recommend checking The Disney Clubs website at http://www.disneyclub.com to make sure the $50 credit is valid for your sailing. To double check, you should call operators at both DCL and The Disney Club (in other words--don't just take my word for it).

I hope this is helpful to some of you. I am thrilled! (Takes so little to thrill me).

Hi stephmarty and SINK

Did either of you join and receive the $50 credit on a previously booked cruise? My cruise is within the dates listed and I would love to join and have the credit applied.

Thanks

Can you use your Disney Club card on the cruise ship to get any discounts???

You cannot use the Disney Card for discounts on board. The only offer they have in connection with DCL is the $50 onboard credit for selected spring sailings.

What are the dates that you can get a discount for AND can you apply this to a previously booked sailing?

Thanks.

I booked my cruise in October, while onboard. I got a good rate, and a shipboard credit. I have read that I can not use my $50 Disney Club coupon, because I already have a discount, and a shipboard credit. any one else have any info on this?
thanks

In terms of the DC's $50.00 onboard credit for selected sailings (basically, the "spring time magic" sailings) for previous bookings, I'm not sure. I booked my cruise after recieving the "coupon" with DU and got the $50.00 onboard, since this will be my first cruise (I'm so excited!) and therefore not qualified to recieve the CC credit. You can always call your TA to check if they can apply the DC "coupon". It never hurt to ask.

That's very cute! Hopefully in a few more years, we will get the upgrade from SINK to SICK. Well, if I win the California Lotto this Saturday, I think I will be living on the ship for a while ($170 to $200 million jackpot). One time cash $70 million (if the pot is $200 mil), it will be a little tough to spend that if you don't gamble (stock market included), and not starting a company.

Just thought I would post a follow-up. After joining the Disney Club, DCL denied my $50 onboard credit. They told me they had already granted all that were available for the 5/11 cruise. Oh well, hopefully the other benefits will be worth the membership fee. If nothing else, it is terrific that some others benefitted from the post. Aprilgail2--your post made my night!
