HI Everyone,
We received an ad in the mail today for the Disney Club for $39 a year.
What does everyone think? My family travels to WDW 2 or 3 times a year.
Once you have the Disney Club, do you get discounts on park tickets?
Is there really a benefit?
Thanks,
Matt

They do have discounts on park hoppers. I joined them sometime ago... for a couple of reasons.
1) I like to get the Disney magazine - so that has value for me.
2) The savings on a park hopper for my DH (DD and I have AP's) was about $20.
3) Merchandise discounts - both at the World and at Disney Stores and www.disneystore.com .
All of those things added up to the initial investment being return to me - and then some. So I did it. :)

Hi DixieDreamer,
Thanks for replying. Do they give discounts on AP's as well, or is the discounts on park hoppers only?
Thanks,
Matt

we joined the disney club and then booked 5 nites at POR with the discovery magic plan and saved $300 on the price quoted at disney.com website. so for us it really saved a lot. i just don't know exactly what amount we saved off tickets, room, or package.
hope this helps.

Hi
I also received the Disney Club info today inviting me to join. I did go to Mousesaver Site and put in the code. Payed $29.95 with the code when I joined over the net. It does say the code is only good through Feb. 15th so I just made it. So, if you are going to join, do so tonight!
Thanks for the heads-up Whirlsy!

My DH got me mine for my birthday - and I think it paid for itself by Christmas (saved on the shopping), and then over $1,000 with it and codes for our vacation in May over the website rate!

Have been disney club members since 1996, has always paid for itself with discounts on tickets, vacation packages, and discounts at the Disney stores and online. The quarterly magazine that comes is worth the cost in itself. We think it's a great deal, and usually get a monthly flyer with specials as well.
Good luck!

Hello,
Put us down as another Yay. You can get a $10 discount as others have posted. And for the $30 you not only get the Disney Magazine, which comes out to about a $10 value, but discounts at Disney Stores, World of Disney, park admissions, occasional resort discounts, and several others. In fact we just received a $50 shipboard credit on our May Disney Cruise because of DC, so that alone made it worthwhile.
While I wish they had stayed with the old Magic Kingdom Club, which was free, I still feel this is a good deal if you are planning on spending money on Disney in the coming year.
Take care,
Bill

I ended up signing up and got an awesome members only rate at the Contemporary in June! The savings alone was worth it! Plus the magazines we will get, and the discounts on park hopper passes.
Thanks,
Matt

Disneyclub pays for itself very easily. We booked a Disneycruise, and got $50.00 onboard credit. That makes a $20.00 profit so far, without adding up the 10% discounts at Disneystores, the magazine, etc. etc. etc.:bounce:

There is a coupon in the Entertainment book for $10 off Disney Club. It is in the national section in the middle of the book.
