Yes! That is my reaction when I am all psyched to share the wonderful news with our two bright, insightful, and oh so humble ;) daughters that we are getting the chance to spend 10 whirlwind nights in Disney this Christmas :wizard: ……I know, I know, they are just thinking what any 6 and 8 year old would but we are going to DISNEY people!! Lets just sit and think about that for a second……The Magic Kingdom! Expedition Everest! Tower of Terror! Soarin’! Bibbity Bobbity Boutique! The Polynesian! New Haunted Mansion!....Heck, we are feasting from the awesome 2007 DDP where the appi & tip are STILL included!!!........Santa WHO? :santa:
Geez…sorry to go off but thank you for letting me get that off my chest. I know they are excited in their own way, and it was 80 degrees outside today so I guess I can let them off the hook, for now! They still have 84 days to realize that the Mouse is our Santa this year!
I guess this would be an appropriate time & place to introduce myself as well as my fellow travelers: :dance3:
Hello! I’m Stephanie! :cheer2: => 36, married to Bob for the past 9+ years and mother of 2 great girls. I love every part of planning & organizing and I admit that I have control issues but going to Disney during Christmas week should certainly cure me of that rather quickly!
Bob :cool2: => 38, my complete opposite, loves to relax, kick back and let life happen.….thinks planning is for sissys and will do just about anything to make his girls happy! (well, we agree on that last part!)
Tatum princess: => DD almost 8, a girly girl that shares my passion for planning and enjoys reading, swimming, talking on the phone (at 7? what does she even talk about??) & all things HM or HSM!
Helen :yay: => Hellie Bellie => DD just turned 6, full of energy! (she does kartwheels on her way to the bathroom! not sure where she gets it from?)Adores Cats, is just getting out of her Princess stage and is now ALL ABOUT the Thrill Rides!:scared1:
So, you would think the 4 of us heading to Disney during Christmas would be more than enough fun, and that any more people would just be plain overkill….well, there are 12 more family members coming! :scared1:  Yep…a good ole’ Grand Gathering!:grouphug: …and the kicker (yes there is more to this…) they are all my inlaws! Do you think I think I should start writing my Wife of the Year Award speech now???...….I guess it helps that they enjoy Disney as much as I do…well I take that back…SIL & MIL carry the Disney Spirit and are just about as excited as I am….but then you have BIL & FIL that like to suck the life out of anything fun and child like. OH Yeah, they are gonna LOVE Disney at Christmas Time! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:
Sorry, this list will be rather long and some of the names will be changed to make them more interesting (that will not be easy)….please follow along, this gets complicated…there will be a quiz afer!:teacher:
Kay => 40, sister to DH, married to DigDug. Loves Disney & Hawaii so she is most excited that we scored 40% off discount codes for the Polynesian! ~Thanks to Dis~:disrocks:
DigDug => 40 something, seems to like Disney enough…really enjoys acting like a kid himself, glad he is part of the crew! Should help make PhotoPass pictures quite interesting!!
Billy the Kid => 19, son to Kay (our nephew), loves to entertain people and may be known to some of you that have seen him on Ellen, GMA and Masters of Champions as the Juggler that tosses fire while playing Dance Dance Revolution! He is Awesome! Yes, I am shameless and bias but I am also very proud of him!
BritBrit => 16, daughter of Kay (our niece), loves boys, talking on the phone, not doing homework and is still young enough at heart to join my girls at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique this December and not think it’s “stupid”. She needs a kick in the pants about school but she is a good kid and will add to the fun.
Benny => 9, son of Kay (our nephew), keeps to himself mostly, likes Harry Potter and school but a little on the particular side. He could go either way on this trip….he likes hanging out with my girls so hopefully that will keep him upbeat, I hope!
Mom => 64, DH’s MOM, divorced from BigBob(FIL) but they still get along enough to all take a trip together…same resort…different rooms! Anyway….MIL is pretty darn excited and will revel in being at Disney with her kids and grand kids. She too can be particular…you know, the Have it Your Way person….but at EVERY restaurant! She’s a good lady though, and I think she will prove to be a key player on Pro Magic Team!
Zeb => 31/32??? DH’s Brother (my BIL), married to Jeanni, he could care less about Disney, is practically being dragged there by his sister Kay. Seems to only be going because the rest of the family will be there. I will be very surprised if we see Zeb & Jeanni much since they have no kids and may sneak away to US??? Traitors! Don’t let the mouse hit ya on the way out!
Jeanni => don’t know, don’t care, married to Zeb, she is a different kind of spud…not too quick on the draw and dare I say, a bit clueless. She has to be home by Christmas Eve for some work related issue (on Xmas Eve?? whatever) so her and Zeb will be heading home half way through the rest of our luxurious 10 night stay. Too bad, so sad!
Last group is FIL & his Girlfriend with her 2 granddaughters….yes it is like a really lame soap opera but as long as everyone gets along…I’m cool with it.
BigBob => 65? => Dad to DH (my FIL), attached to his girlfriend whom I will call GF for the sake of not really knowing her enough to feel comfortable writing about her. BigBob is a worry wart…it took me a while to realize this…I just thought he complained a lot but then I figured out it was more like being concerned and not so much like whining. He can get on my nerves but we get along better now and we have an UNDERSTANDING! I just hope he “understands” that Disney is a Happy Place with no WORRIES! He says he will be good…we will see.
GF => 50-60? => Girlfriend to FIL, she gets along with everyone (even MIL!!) but we are all surprised she and FIL agreed to come. She is an EVC user and it should be interesting to see her navigate Disney @ Christmas!!! They will most likely do their own thing with her 2 granddaughters with us all meeting up for our TS meals each day.
2GDs => 16 and 18 I think? Granddaughters to GF…don’t know noffin about them other than they make our Grand Gathering a total party of 16!! WOW, that’s a bunch of people!
 Now you know us just a little bit better.
I will tell you about the dates of our trip as well as our 40% accommodations in my next installment. :thumbsup2
I also want to say that while I am sarcastic, I really am happy to be sharing this experience with my inlaws….will it be difficult? Yes, at times…but I also think it will be fun. At least I am talking myself into that!
Anyway….sorry for any grammar issues I may have….I like to write like I talk, only with the wonderful ability to edit myself before people hear me! :ssst:
Thanks for just being here!
