I didn't realize I had it until you posted. I went back to check my photos and found it. That shot is now my desktop. . .it really is nice--and was nice that morning. I believe Ron and I got up very early that a.m., got coffee and headed outside. It was our sleep in morning (at least for the teens). We had a "dedicated swim day" and our day was spent at the quiet pool.

I love this shot. It has such a mood to it, like it was raining or about to rain. Living in SoCal, I actually dig a good thunderstorm at WDW. All the ions in the air and the excitement of running for cover! The liquid sunshine rain is awesome too. As long as it doesn't last too long, I'm lovin' it.

That was taken from room #3502 in the Hawaii (concierge) building. I would imagine that similar views would be seen from the Tahiti building as well because it's alongside the Hawaii building, facing the same direction, just more to the right (as you face the castle). :) You would have to specifically book a "Magic Kingdom view" room so you'd guarantee the view. Otherwise, with the garden views, your view will vary.

I'm a newbie and will be going to Disney for the first time in March!! Staying at the Poly... I'm supposed to be staying in a "lagoon view" building, I hope I have some good views!!

Question: The pictures I have seen of the castle from the beach are obstructed. Are MK View rooms the only way you can see the castle unobstructed? Does the castle look the same from the beach as MK View room?

DisneyTracey, it is just a quiet pool. A regular pool with no theming or slides. It isn't as large as the Volcano Pool, which gets very crowded, so I imagine the quiet pool will be packed during the refurb to the main pool. I am just finishing up my trip when the Volcano Pool shuts down. Since I am there without kids most of the time, my husb and I spend all of our time at the quiet pool. I'm glad I'll be gone before that quiet pool gets too busy.

Hello, Poly experts!!

I know I just posted the last post, but I had another question.

Hello, Poly experts!!

I know I just posted the last post, but I had another question.

....We'll be staying at the Poly next Thanksgiving. Thanks for all the great pix to help me decide. As a DLR veteran and SoCal native, this will be only our 2nd trip to WDW and the Poly looks perfect for us. Looks like all the rooms have a great view, too. If you look at the above the waterfall there are people standing in line. The person to the far right is roughly where the entrance to the slide is located. The walkway wraps around the back of the volcano and comes out up there.

In addition to what DisneyDad said, I just wanted to add that the slide does go through the volcano; it's an enclosed slide, sort of like a curvy tube you slide through. Hope this helps :)

We did a land/sea trip with a stay at the Poly and loved it! We felt like we had already been at sea before we got on the ship.

That is my DS's favorite place to eat breakfast with their favorite toon. Also, both girls are very pretty. There is just something about the older girl that makes me think she looks like a young Janet Jackson.

You know what I haven't seen many pictures of, are nighttime pictures. Does anyone have any good ones of the resort at night? Like the volcano pool, the grounds lit up, the longhouses, the beaches/reflections, etc. That would be awesome :cool1:
