We're just back from another fab trip to the Poly and we booked the offer for next September while there. We'd decided before we left that we'd like to stay gardenview YC next time and, of course, it wasn't available when I called the bounceback number. I booked BC which doesn't thrill me; I love the resort but I'd prefer the relative ease of getting a full balcony with daybed at the YC. She told me I had to put down the deposit during that phone call or the offer was rescinded, but I could keep calling to try to switch to the YC once I was home. This confused me - how can I keep the offer if I want to make changes when they had the initial booking rules that felt like high pressure sales tactics to me?
Has anyone made changes to their ressie and kept the bounceback deal?

I made changes. When I called from the resort, they didn't have the room category I wanted. We booked it anyway and called a couple of times after we returned home checking for availability. Then when I called on Saturday, they had the room we wanted, so we switched. I also switched the days we were going. :)

We made ressies at Pop, then when we got home we changed to CBR, and now thinking of changing to another moderate if available since they don't have an elevator at CBR, and it is a really huge resort.

This is good news, thanks!
Now that we're home and suffering Poly withdrawal, my next impulse is to book there again.

Would you mind explaining what the bounceback offer is? I am staying at the GF in October and would love to book for next year if they are offering discounts. How did you book? Any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, you have to check into a Disney resort by 9/27 or 9/28 to get the bounceback. If you booked another September trip while staying this September, they were offering a discount that amounts to getting the regular dining plan for free or the deluxe dining plan for about 50% off. Primarily to bring people in during primetime hurricane season, I imagine.
If it softens the blow any, we much, MUCH preferred the weather and ambiance of October over September. :-)
