If I make a reservation tonight at regular rack rates for room-only in December and a code comes out this week, can you call and get the code applied? Or do you have to cancel the reservation and book a new one?

You can keep the ressie and apply the code. I did that recently for the october package code.

Are you looking for this December? There is a code out now and I was able to apply it a couple of weeks ago to an existing reservation. I changed my resort because of availability, but that was not a big deal to us. I used code ZQH which was MYW with dining. There is another without the DDP, but I do not know it off the top of my head. Check out the codes and rates threads.

If you are looking for Dec. 2008, yes you can book a reservation and then apply a code when it comes out. Good luck!;)

This works only if there is availability at the resort in the amount of rooms with discounted rates. We tried this with WL for October and even tho I had a TA and I was watching like a hawk and tried the morning the codes were released, all the rooms at WL were already taken.
