Thanks to everyone who is participating. This is going to be a great swap! We have a really talented group of swappers, so I can wait to see what you all create!

Please remember that this swap is due to me by November 24. The mail by date is November 17, and check in dates are October 7 and October 28. If for whatever reason you don't think you will be able to finish your swap, please let me know as soon as possible to that we can find an "angel" to take your spot.

Designed for the general (Sail Away) today and purchased paper. I have the Animator's Palette basically designed but I need to finish the design.

I'm leaving for the UK on Saturday (for a week) so I may not get another chance to check in before then.

Tiggermei, do you know the name of the restaurant is actually Animator's Palate? Palate as in your mouth, not palette as in what a painter uses. It's a play on words thing.

I finished my Captain Mickey stuff for group 1. It was the only things I knew immediately what I was doing, so I could do them quickly. The other groups I will wait on until I get finished with some of the other swaps.

Please be assured that I will send this swap on time...even if you don't hear from me for a period of time. I'm having a difficult time getting on the computer. Two levels of our new home were destroyed as a result of a plumbing issue...we are living in a hotel right now.

So, for my Group 4 (Western) and Group 5 (Wonder) participants, would you mind if the numbers got changed? Group 5 would go back to being a group of 5, and Group 4 will be a group of 4. I am so sorry - :flower3: - if this is a problem for anyone, please let me know, especially the Group 4 people. If you have already bought supplies and don't have enough to make 4, I will gladly give up my goodies to 4ltltinks.

I probably wouldn't buy it again if I had a choice. I think it's possible to be a lot more creative without it. For me, it limits the kind and weight of paper I can use, and the shapes and combinations of those shapes are limited. But, that's just my own opinion for the needs I have.

I think of it more as an accessory maker. I've done whole swaps without using it once. And yet I couldn't have made a few of my elements without it.
So I like it. I just don't design my items around only it.

I don't use it for most of my swaps, and then only for an occasional accessory. But, anything I make with it still has to be embellished a lot with items not cricut related.

Oh goodie! I can make up my own element! Hope you guys like small dangley things you can hang from ribbon or fibers. There were so many cute pics of Captain Mickey that I choose my favorite one for the paper piecing and used the others for charm-like items. (Of course, if you don't like charms:rolleyes1 you can removed the ring and glue it onto your page.)

Need to go work on the Wonder/Magic items.:wizard:

I've been waiting for my new Cricut Expression machine I bought on e-bay...but...alas...the lady took my money and didn't send the machine! I'll be working on the items this weekend without it, I guess.

The 5th group is done now too. So on to the 6th, and my biggest problem...I know what I want to do, just not sure what colors to do it with, so I will cut a bunch of stuff, and see which I like best, and waste a ton of paper in the process.:rotfl2:

The seller was MOMOF3ANGELS...she has been banned from e-bay transactions now, so you need not worry about her! She has apparently been doing this to others as well...e-bay contacted me about her no longer being able to sell/trade on e-bay and that I should make every effort to retrieve my money back from her.

Did you pay via paypal? If so, they will refund your money once you open a claim. If she can't provide proof of delivery, they will give back all your money.
If you paid via credit card, they should be able to help too.
If you paid with money order or check, and mailed it, then mail fraud is involved and you need to contact the post office on what to do about that.

A similar thing happened to me this Fall. After daily e-mails, Ebay messages, etc. I filed a claim with Paypal because Ebay said they couldn't be involved with any transaction that was paid for by Paypal. 6 weeks after I paid for the auction, I received my item. That seller did the same thing to 7 other buyers right after me....and then she proceeded to leave us all negative feedback when we filed Paypal claims to get our refund or auction items.

I would still file a paypal claim if that's how you paid, because I don't think Ebay will do anything.

OK, the last package arrived today! Four packages were sent off with DH to be mailed this morning. The mailman also brought the rest of the boxes I needed so everything is now packed and ready for me to take to the post office! Got mine. My youngest has already staked claims on them. I thought I was going to pass out though when took (I think OhMoms) boarders and put it over his head. The pieces are attached with brads and he thought she made him a head band. :eek: Mommy took those away from him right away.

We were supposed to go on a cruise for my DS's 1st bday but he got real real sick and we had to cancel....have to figure out when we can save enough of our DVC points to go again after seeing all these and yes I will have to definitely join in next time as these are all so adorable!
