give me info on room upgrades

My room states guaranteed when I check my DU reservation via internet, yet my parents have a room number and I booked both rooms at the same time. If I would happened to get upgraded, how and when will I find out? Will it appear on the reservation page? Do I get a call? I know this probably happens rarely, but once a certain time passes, I'd know to give up if I knew what to expect.

We got upgraded and didn't find out til we arrived at port to check in. Up until the day prior to sailing the dcl website still had not shown we were upgraded. Was a great surprise, so don't give up hope til you actually check in :).
