My mom hsa just given us the option to either A, Cancel our 2 day disney trip/15 night cruise through Panama Canal/Disneyland visit, and join 20 years of DVC (7-8 trips a year possibly) OR Keep the cruise, and not do DVC.

I need to know tonight, and I'm all shaky, and excited. IF we do DVC we can go on a shorter cruise this summer and Disneyland in MAy (I'm meeting a DISer there)

What would you do? I'm leaning towards DVC...

AHHHHHHH!

Help!

I think you should do DVC.
The cruise, yes, you'll miss it, but there will be other cruises.
Besides, DVC offers DCL too, so you'll get to go eventually.

My family has DVC and it is awesome, go with DVC. You will still get to go to DL and on the cruise.

Have fun! Keep us posted on how it goes. :)

Its official!! We're joining DVC on Wed. while we're in Disney!

party: This means 42 years of Disney Vacations!

I'm jumping for joy! We're still going to DisneyLAND (so I can see my friend) And we can do alaskan cruises, and all the other Disneys (land, paris, sea, tokyo, hong kong, etc) on DVC points. As well as Hilton head, SC, Vero beach, Manhattan!, etc.

Its a better deal, and I'm really excited!

Thanks for the votes, I just needed others opinions.

I'm going to give you the answer of DVC because I can tell by the way that you worded your poll options that that's the one that you want the most.

I'm gonna be the odd man out...

Cruise. All the way. So much more fun. Plus, how fun is disney if you go all the time?

DVC, without a doubt. Way worth it.

And there is no 20 years. At OKW, BWV, BCV, HHI, DVB, and VWL the ownerships expire in 2047 I believe, and SSR, AKV, and GCV, it's 2056.

Anyway, DVC is definitely worth it.

DVC, offers more than JUST Disney World.
It offers DCL, DLR, and all of the Disney parks. Plus a great variety of vacations across the world.

I am probably the biggest
DCL fanatic you will ever
meet. It's fun, it's
adventureous, awesome,
but it doesn't last. Sure
it's 15 heavenly days.
But after that one trip
it's gone. And all you
have left is your memories.
Now those memories you
might not remember when
you get old and are in a
nursing home like the rest of us.
However if you join DVC you can
have memories that last a lifetime.
You can take your kids and then
they can take their kids and so on.
But you can take your kids more frequently
because of DVC. So instead of being that
sad little grandma sitting in the corner being
all sad with a blank wall instead you can be
that grandma sitting in her room with a wall
covered in Disney cards and thank you cards
from your grandkids thanking you for convincing
mommy and daddy to take them on Test Track
even though they were scared. If that makes any
sense at all my point is do the DVC. It may not be
as awesome but you'll get a hecka lot more memories.

Have you ever met me? Gone 27 times and I'm still in love with it. There's nothing wrong with going all the time. And if you don't believe me go and PM my dad and ask. He'll certainly tell you I've gone 26 times.

I love when we arrive at a DVC resort like Old Key West they say Welcome Home.

Oh my god, we own Saratoga and Old Key West and we were driving away from the airport and (we were staying offsite this time) and my dad was like, "I just love DVC, because they say Welcome Home and, I don't know, it makes me feel good". We bursted out laughing because my dad at macho macho and when he said that it was just a sentimental moment. Haha. But it is true. LOL.

And my mom was wearing her DVC hat in Blizzard Beach and the guy at the booth said Welcome Home :teeth:

I've already been 50+ times, and I'm still in love with it. I'm excited about DVC because I never thought we'd be able to get it, but now that this option has come up, I'm really excited about DVC.

hurray with joining DVC :) i'm still trying to convince my parents to get it but they won't since my aunt has it and since she comes with us on our WDW holidays, we use her points to stay at OKW (and last year, also Vero Beach which is awesome :))

But doesn't going to disney all the time for every single vacation get old? I would think so. I love going, but not all the time. I'd really like to travel the whole world, and see some amazing things. :)
