Have searched a thread for this cruise and can't find one.
Don't like the search for new threads at all.
ANYWAYS, is anyone cruising on the Wonder on January 10, 2008???

Are you really the only one on this cruise?? :confused3
It's less than 3 months away!
There is a chance that I will be on this cruise but I will have to wait and book at the last minute due to time off problems at work. I will either sail with my best friend or solo.

Gina:
I am also a solo. Since my DH passed, I have to go alone, if family or friends can't sail w/me. We pay about so much more than if 2 or more people were in the room.
Hope you get to cruise.
There has to be others cruising. Maybe they just haven't found the thread as yet.
Time will tell.

The single rates really stink! I am a single Mom to DS 14 and DS 11. Wish I could afford to travel/cruise with both of my boys all of the time! What category are you sailing in on this cruise?

10-14-2007, 04:51 PM
yep. recently I have cruised and have 3 planned up thru Jan. 10th, as to where I am paying only around the figure of $525. or $625 (with Disney) and that is a single rate. That is not too bad.
Then I get an onboard credit of $50 for using my Disney Card and get $50 or more back from COSTCO, as a gift card. It works out real good and with the $100+ off, the cruise has been costing me as little as $425, for single.
So I choose the cruises where I get the good price.
I'll search the threads again to see if another one has been started.
krdisneybound
10-14-2007, 04:54 PM
two weeks ago I added my sister to my room and it was only $220 to add her to the room, so we split the $805 and we both went for $402. and I got the $100 back from the onboard credit and COSTCO.
Worked out great

My sister-in-law just told me the funniest time she had at the airport. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. At every check point she had to give something up. (shampoos, lotions, facial cleansers....) Like did she have anything left by the time she boarded the plan???????? That's why I keep
my feet on the ground and travel by motorcoach. Sweet dreams.

I am still scoping the Phantom gear down. Let me tell you though; you know the recipe for those spring rolls that you and I made at your house? I can't find it. I just did not want you thinking that I forgot to send it to you. But fear not, I am still on the hunt for it, and when I find it, I will send it to you.
It will be fun meeting the people from disboards and matching up the faces with the screen names.

hello cruisers - I have changed this cruise to January 17th.
My sister will be on another cruise line - Carnival Sensation - and they will be in Nassau on Jan. 18th, the same time as we are. So I will be spending the day with her in Nassau.
So I changed my plan and will be cruising on Jan. 17th.
Hopefully we will be able to cruise in the future and I'll see many of you later on other threads.

Ok, so I have not been sleeping good most of this week. Happy Cruisin, you know why I could not sleep the beginning of the week. For a couple nights now, I can't get warm. I am wrapped in this good blanket, curled really tight under it all, but I still have the little shivers. I was just thinking when I woke up that it will be nice to go to the warmer states!
Happy Cruisin
12-01-2007, 07:40 AM
Bagera,
34 days till you will be so warm you will not know what to think. :hippie: In the Bahamas the heat is intense. When we were on Castaway Cay the last trip I took: I stayed under my beach umbrella the whole day just to escape the sun. Tinkerbell told me that POC 3 comes out Dec.4, I'll have to get it for the trip down to Disney. Write up an Itinerary for me to know what you would like to do 1st, 2nd and so on. We want to make this trip as enjoyable as you need it to be. This is not a command, I just know how scheduled you all are, and if you have any suggestions we are all up for it. I think last year we did Magic Kingdom first. But I know you want to get to the Tower of Terror :scared1: I like to hold off as long as possible for that experience. So anyway, I think we are putting up the tree today. Is it really that time already. Don't blink you might just miss something, time is a flyin. See ya soon.
Bagera_08
12-01-2007, 05:16 PM
Is POC 3 Pirates of the Carribean 3? Are you serious about writing an itinerary? You are too good to me! I can't wait. Is this for what parks to visit in order or what parks to choose? You know I need to hit Tower of Terror!! You got me on that one all right. I love this snow. I always say, " If it's going to be freezing cold, there better be snow so it's worth my time and everything.":flower3:
Happy Cruisin

Sure thing. After you write a message and post it onto the board. Under your message on the right hand corner there is a button named 'edit'. Click on that. Highlight the entire message, or just what you want in a different color. Then on the upper left hand corner of the reply message box there is a A with a black line under it. Click that arrow right next to it and pick the color that you want. After that is all good. hit save.:sad2:

Tonite Alyssa and I will watch Jingle all the Way. The presents are wrapped and under the tree, but now the wait is on. What's your favorite Christmas movie of all time? I was reading a post about the Disney Cruise someone had just taken and they had 30ft waves. Thats crazy. They were not allowed to come on deck. We want smooth sailing all the way.:hourglass
Bagera_08
12-19-2007, 08:28 AM
I love White Christmas. As far as the 30ft waves, they will NOT be there when we go cruising. Pray and believe with me on this Jackster. God can do the impossible!! ;)
On a different note, I feel swamped with all the stuff that I have to do before we leave Christmas Day. We basically need to plan the two trips right away because when we get back for Phoenix we will have no time for anything...we will be hurrying to get everything ready.
Happy Cruisin
12-20-2007, 07:40 AM
A room off our bedroom has be designated the trip room. All things going with us are piled in there. I can bearly get into it, but somehow we just keep adding to it. When is your last day of work? It was to bad that we did not get to go bowling, but you only have 5 days till you leave for the southwest, I am so excited for your time with all your family at Christmas. Don't get to busy to keep in touch with me and lissy. We still have to finish our dead lines for school so she does not have bring one stitch of work along. I can't imagine what you are going through with having to plan for two big trips back to back.
Yikes!:dance3: But do the dance of happiness anyway.

Well, I am working everyday right up to Christmas day. I usually work the weekends, so that is nothing new. The new part that I am not too keen on is that tomorrow I usually work 8-1, but since it is the holiday season I am working 9-4. The other new thing because of the holiday season is that I am working those hours on Sunday. I have never worked a Sunday, so this should be interesting. The crappy thing is that I hate working those long hours on the weekends because weekends are really dead, and that just makes the time go longer. The other thing is that I hate is that I am working Christmas Eve, but no one is getting double time because since it is the eve and night before Christmas, not the actual day, they do not consider it a holiday (even though it is on the holiday listing for who is working). If you ask me, this whole system is going down the tubes. Oh well, at least I get a good paycheck.
I think I have to pack for 2 and a half trip because didn't you and liss say that we need an extra little suitcase for the cruise? I will definitely keep in contact over email during our trip.:rotfl:
I also have to get everything for school ready because I go back the next day. Yikes! :scared1: I am not liking that thought.

Hello! We are cruising on 1/10 as well, booked last Feb.! Sailing on my sons 11th birthday as his gift!! Our other son is 9 so if you have children give us a holler out and maybe they can meet up on the ship! It's always fun to make friends from far away. Our mother in law is also joining us (her retirement gift) and she loves to dance. See you all very soon!!!!:goodvibes

So glad you could join this thread. Not much action on it. So Bagera and I just
chat to pass the time before we leave on this much awaited cruise. It will be my 2nd time on a Disney cruise. First time was on the Magic in 2004. The ships are practically identical, so I know I will have a great time. Bagera is one of our families closest friends, that is why we talk so naturally to one another. No kids under 16 in our group. This will be a great birthday present for your son and whole family.
Bagera heres my favorite color.

jdsmom98, I am glad that you could join in on the fun. This is my first cruise as well, and I am privileged to be going with my great friends.
J- Rabbit, I am glad that you got the color working again. Guess what? You know how I told you I was really ticked because I was working Christmas Eve and not getting double time? Well, a co-worker and I were talking about it and she said, "Wait, I heard we do get double time. So she asked a manager and he said that we do get it. I am very excited. So from Friday to Monday, I have 31 hours in!! Awesome.

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself as well. This cruise is a surprise Christmas present for my mom. She'd had a lot of changes in her life this year, and I want her to celebrate her courage and hard work. (I'm so excited! This cruise is the biggest present that I've ever given. I'm only in my 20s and recently entered the work force.)
Anyway, I cleared the time off with her work, booked her flight, etc. Now I'm just trying to figure out the best way to present her with the surprise. Any suggestions?

marthasunny, that is great that you are joining us on this cruise. What a great gift this will be for your mom. One idea will be to create a really cool pamphlet and wrap it in a gift box. That always works.

Marthasunny so glad you could also join us on this awesome Disney cruise. I love Bagera's idea for your mom. Another idea could be to video tape yourselves asking her to come. Give her the tape to watch. I guess the ways to tell her are endless. E-mail is fun and colorful as Bagera has shone us, and that reminds me another idea, an e-card.:yay: I love surprises.

Well, funny story for you about our flight yesterday. Rach and I get to our gate to wait for our first flight ( MKE to O'Hare). A little bit after we sat down, I heard my name being called on the overhead. I was thinking, "What the heck? Why am I being called up?" Well, I went up to the desk and the guy informed me that the seat that I was assigned to was broken. So he changed my seat. Funny.
Flying into Arizona was amazing!!! The mountains were everywhere and in all different sizes.
Today we went on a hike on one of the mountains. It was awesome. Well, I was a little more cautious because when Rach and I came to visit here by ourselves 2 years ago, Jared, Allie, and us two climbed a mountain and I slipped on loose rock ( between all the cacti, plants, and loose rock, it is hard to climb a mountain.) and scraped my arm/elbow pretty dang good. I have the scar to prove it too!!
Today, I got a little cactus barb in my hand. :sad2:

:cool1: Hiking in Arizonia sounds like a blast. I thought you were not suppose to touch the cacti?:rotfl2: At Disney they extended the year of a million dreams to go through 2008 we may get picked to spend a night in cinderella's castle suite (sweet) or I would just be happy with a fast pass for all the rides. So much to do so little time.

You can touch them. They are endangered so you just can't kill them or remove them. The prick was a little crazy.
If we spend the night in the castle, my niece will be jealous. She loves all the disney princesses.
My toe is in another state of pain. I wore heels yesterday and needless to say that was not the best idea. Even in the sheets of my bed, it can get pretty painful. :sad2:

Nice pics on the facebook of Arizonia. Today I'm going to the sports core and do a major workout.:cool1: : I did not go crazy eating over the holidays, but that dress is still not on. Hopefully after we walk the parks in DW I will be the perfect size. Tomorrow we load the bus with all the necessities. Alyssa said that you were sleeping here the night you return is that true. I don't care myself. Whatever you want to do. This year not like last we are leaving the bus up at the shop so on the morning of the 4th we will pick you up at 7am or you will already be here let me know k:)

Hey everyone! We are within the 2 week mark now before we cruise! :cheer2: We got our cruise docs in the mail yesterday and the luggage tags had the right stateroom on them (cat 9). Just now, when I started with the online check-in, I was just printing my forms, and then caught a glimpse of the stateroom on them, and noticed it was for a Cat 6! :jumping1: I started flipping out, checking on where that room was on the ship. Then I called DCL to confirm, and they confirmed the upgrade and told me to change the stateroom number on the luggage tags.
I am sooo happy that we got upgraded for free! pixiedust: :woohoo:  :cool1:

Rach just informed me that Alyssa was asking what food to stock up for. After discussing it, I smiled and said "The Boyds are the BEST!!"
If Rach and Alyssa talked about staying the night, I would not know. Personally, that would just make the trip more fun. I will talk to Rach about it. When do you need to know by?:wizard:

Though I've worked on cruise ships for two years with RCCL, I will be sailing on the Disney Wonder next week (solo). I'm hoping to meet a few others travelling alone so I've got someone to hang out with!
Single occupancy rates were good. I booked a Cat 12 guarantee at $434! With taxes, it was about $475. With the onboard credits of $75 for using my Disney Visa and online booking, it's really only about $400. Crazy! And when my cabin was assigned, I got a Cat 10.
See ya soon!
