Haven't been on this thread in awhile...Any CR news?

I know that there was quite a bit of talk about the Contemporary's new DVC several months ago. I got busy at work though & haven't been back to check on it in awhile. Any news? What's it going to look like? When does it go on sale? Thanks!

Nothing official has been announced yet. As far as DVC is concerned, there is no news.

If you do a search, you should turn up some interesting "spoeculations" as well as some construction photos.

They did announce the Villas at Grand Californian (in case you missed it).

I was leaving the MK this past weekend and was sitting next to a disney employee on the monorail on the way to the CR. Chatted with her about this and that, she said she has worked at WDW for over 25 years, how much she loves it, blah blah blah. So as we were pulling up, we were passing the construction area and I played dumb and said "What's going on there?" and she said "It's going to be the new vacation club villas". Mind you, I never said I was a DVC member or anything. I said that I had heard "something" about that and heard people really wanted that. And she said "oh they're coming, people will get their wish". So who knows how valid it is, guess it's just a wait and see :)

Thanks for the replies! I was just afraid that I'd missed getting to buy points there! (Plus, this gives me more time to convince DH to add-on :rotfl: !)
