We are planning to buy AP's for our upcoming Jan '08 trip (to use again Dec '08!!!) I already have booked our room at rack rate, but I'm hoping to change that to the AP rate when they come out.....so this is my question:
Do I have to have the AP voucher, or confirmation number, or anything to book the AP rate (when they come out), or do we just need to have the AP when we check in to the hotel?
Thanks for your help!!!

From our experience we have only needed to have our passes upon check-in and not when making the reservation. HTH

On our last trip this past August, we didn't even need the pass at check-in. The CM asked to see the AP and I said I didn't have it yet, that I was headed over to the MK to buy one, but I could come back later that night and show it. She said, don't bother, and still gave me the AP rate. (CBR)

So what is the AP holders rate for rooms? DH & I are looking onto AP as well and if possible I'd love to book up to a moderate resort, if the deals are good ;)

It depends. AP rates tend to be about 40% off of the rack rate. But not all of the resorts necessarily have AP rate rooms and the resorts that do have them have a set number of rooms so you've got to get when the getting it good.
