No DDP for us, even though I wanted to try it in Jan

Well, I WAS going to try the new DDP in Jan, but just found out we can't. We're booking our travel through Disney Sports (for a gymnastics competition) and I guess because we're getting such a good rate ($966 for CBR 4 nights and 4 day tickets for me, DD13, and DD10 instead of $1351) we don't get a break on dining. They only offer something like prepaid food cards. Oh well, would have been nice to try, but I'm not going to sweat it. We'll be having fun and eating tons of food anyway!

It just would have been nice for it to be all taken care of before we got down there. I'll just put the money on gift cards instead.

My DD is a gmynast! Although just competes on the park district team, we don't get these cool travel meets.

I always wondered if they did gymnastics meets there. :thumbsup2

Hey maybe we will see you there. This will be the third year my dd's team has gone to the meet. We will be there from Jan 23-30 at VWL. Disney does offer a great deal with the sports package. We usually get the DDP but starting in Jan we will not be getting it anymore. It does not work out to be a great deal for us.

Check into the prepaid food cards, if they are anything like the old quick service vouchers....they are a good deal.
