Yes, I also avoid CBS's web site.
As far as East Coasters choices on Host Hoping vs Survivor? Here's an easy solution: Tivo or VCR record it! This way you can skip all the commercials too ;)
I have watched Survivor since the very beginning also. The show never seems to get boring for me ... yet. I also hope they never get rid of Jeff Probst as Host. Survivor just wouldn't be the same without him I'm afraid.

OK its time.. SPOILERS BEGIN!

any thoughts? I agreed with chickens logic, they shouldnt have gotten rid of the guy who didnt fit in. He was the only chance they had of getting shelter LOL

I think James is great, a shy gravedigger thats freaking huge!

I was thinking the poker guy was going far until i saw the previews for next week.

AND why would they take the stockings and boots away from the girl wrestler? are they kidding me???? If i wasnt addicted they would have lost my viewership right there!

I see James the gravedigger going far in this, unless they decide to off him because he is such a threat. The dude is huge! Must not use much machinery in his job, must be all physical labor ~ geez! He kinda so far flies under the radar, which is good.
The girl wrestler and waitress are already beginning to annoy me. So hopefully they go bye-bye soon ;)
I was surprised to see Chicken go so soon. - sigh -

Ok, how many of you saw Jeff Probst in front of the temple at the opening credits and thought:

 He's at Epcot!

- crickets -

Only me? :confused3 Heh. I really thought it looked like the temple shown in World Showcase. At any rate, I had some thoughts that mirrored some of the other peeps.

But mainly, haven't they watched this show? They should have known to be sure to wear the most functional clothing on their backs, as Survivor has cast players adrift with only the clothes on their backs before. And the Tribal Council losers acted way too excited when they heard they were getting fire. I guess they don't know that the losers of the first challenge get it too.

I thought Ashley was a goner. Don't they know you need to keep the worker bees for at least a few TCs? If anything, I would have thought Chicken would make a good lackey for an extra vote at Council and would have kept him around for that.

Leslie and Courtney were so disrespectful during the welcome ceremony. They need to leave my TV. And James? He's a smokin' hottie. :thumbsup2

Alright.... I liked Chicken. Sort of reminded me of Big Tom (Africa? Australia?). Oh well. Bye Chicken.

The waitress just bugs me! Did she really think everyone was going to be sweet and kind? It's Survivor!

And Ezra, er, I mean James will go far IF he can stay low on the radar. Otherwise, he's a threat and will be gone in a flash.

And on a semi-serious note, I thought the "ceremony" at the beginning was interesting. I was particularly fascinated with how the different players took it in, or not. Interesting to see how some saw it as a culturally enriching experience while others found in religiously offensive. I think it would have been enriching.

Yeah, but he screwed himself over by stopping giving his opinion when he was asked. He was being sort of babyish just because they didn't listen to his first couple bits of advice. I liked Chicken, but I could see them getting rid of him well before tribal council.

Without getting into to much religious debate, I could definitely see why someone who is very strong in faith could have interpreted that and reacted in the manner in which she did. I, personally, wouldn't have found it offensive. I guess I am saying, I wouldnt have rolled my eyes at her like many did.

Wow... I just saw this post and was so surprised to see so many of you watch Survivor!! I love that show... its one of favorites! I too have watched from day one! and your right... I hope they never get ride of Jeff Post as the host! It would be the same!

I think James the grave digger is aswesome! Diffinitly will be a threat...I also agree if he can lay low he might be able to stay. I do think he needs to make afew friends and partner with them.

I was so shocked when they got rid of Chicken going first! Although I agree I thought that was miskate not to help when they asked him again! I did just think he would be around for a while.

Yea.. that waitress ..she really really bugs me too... Hope she is the fist to go on that team. She don't like anything or an one....I kept saying..then why did you sign up girl... ??? lol

I love the begining one at the temple... that was so different... and I thought it was so cool. But I did notice on the bus going there...whey do they have luggage?

Survivor... is just awesome.. I love it.

James the gravedigger is my pick. He reminds me of like a "gentle giant" type of guy. I don't know everyone's names yet but I was surprised that the "church lady" gave up her immunity idol clue to the other guy. I would have kept that info to myself for a bit.

Mnementh
09-28-2007, 02:35 PM
So I sure hope the clues to the immunity idol get a LOT less vague soon since if it's right there in front of them and there's a million things in front of them, how are they supposed to know which item it is?

heh, cant believe she shared that clue and to think of all people to tell ROFL. I cant believe he is under the radar at this point still... I know we hear extra but he seems so obvious to me LOL. Also the poker player's strat is pretty interesting. I wonder if it will get him anywhere.

Sending home the wrestler was a mistake, He proved pretty weak in the challenge and he is the one who starts all the drama.

Did anyone else think if they talked like that at camp maybe they wouldnt be such losers? ROFL.

09-29-2007, 11:22 AM
Well I'm glad to see that at least one of the people I wanted to go, is now gone! Bye Ashley :)
James the gravedigger totally rocked that challenge, with the wooden ball in the mudd. Wow! Don't get in his way people!
I think the male flight attendant's strategy is interesting. We'll see how far that gets him. He seems pretty smart about how he wants to play the game.
And Yes, the religious radio show host, should have never shared that clue on the hidden immunity idol. I wouldn't have shared that so soon.
Anyone else catch that the immunity idol might be that wooden trivet looking thing hanging up high on something that was made? I can't remember if that was part of their shelter or what? But anyway after the clue was read the camera panned over to that, making us think maybe that's the idol. It's not hidden at all. Just need more clues, or someone really thinking about it, to find it. ;)

ooo good points, (and your right the post didnt bump?? maybe this will fix it LOL)

something else I forgot, the poker player really helped out in that challenge. I know the grave digger got the point. but the poker player got everyone off of him. He might have a strategy yet like he thinks ROFL.

Ok I have to ask. Aengus, since you are such a big fan, have you ever sent in an audition tape?

And for the rest of you, what did you all think of Dave's strategy of attacking the opponent in his birthday suit? LOL gross!

And is it just me or are we not hearing much from Denise? They hardly ever interview her at all. I wonder if that means she will go far in the game. Usually those who don't get much exposure in the beginning episodes last a while longer than those who do. Any opinions?

aengus
10-06-2007, 04:45 PM
hah I considered it. I am not sure how many realize it, but I used to do real survivor trips. I have never sent in a tape, and I guess probably never will ROFL. Not really sure why.

ANYWHO!

the naked trick? well not sure why ROFL. Seemed quite pointless to me.

I will have to watch Denise, your right, I dont have much opinion on her.

The biggest thing to me was during the last episode, is James personality is not who I thought he was. I really thought he was a shy person, and he obviously isn't. Not quite the strong quiet gentle type and I think that his threat level is going to get the best of him. When your nice and winning its one thing, when your not so nice and winning, its another ;)

The poker player is history soon huh ROFL

Mnementh
10-06-2007, 04:49 PM
If that challenge was men vs. women (which I'm glad it wasn't because that would've been awkward) I would say the naked strategy was a good idea, but guys vs. guys, it was kind of stupid and didn't make a difference.

Hey its worth a shot right? I think you should send it in. You obviously love the show and know about strategy. You are probably like me though and your family comes first. So that would be the difficult part, leaving them for over a month.

I agree about James totally. I couldn't believe some of the things he said this episode! Whoa! Like you, I thought he would be the shy-I-need-help-socially-but-in-a-good-way kind of guy. And yes, he is so strong that when it comes down to it, no one will want to challenge him after the merge and individual immunity.

If that challenge was men vs. women (which I'm glad it wasn't because that would've been awkward) I would say the naked strategy was a good idea, but guys vs. guys, it was kind of stupid and didn't make a difference.

LOL I agree with you too Mint. I would still knock his butt off the dock, sans clothes or not, but I think he just wanted to try and go down in Survivor history like Richard Hatch for going in the buff. But somehow he just didn't quite carry it off. :sad2:

And one more question. How did you all feel about Courtney, the girl that couldn't cut the ropes? Did you feel bad for her or were you yelling at her like me to not give up? I know they go with out food, and water and are tired but wow, that was frustrating to watch.

PirateBell
10-07-2007, 12:44 AM
I was totally yelling at Courtney... ""Oh come on girl."".she wasn't even trying! And Yet...what?? they didn't vote her off ?? I kept thinking ""girl you are gone""..she made them lose...and to my surprise they didn't vote her off?
So i didn't understand that...she is too wek and she don't try..so you might as well say that they are miunse one less person !!

As for James... I agree I was so surprised ...here all this time I thought he was this totally big shy person..and boy guess we were all fool on that! He better watch himself cause he is so big and strong that they will vote him off casue of it!

OMG..couldn't believe that he was naked..(in his Birthday suit) I thougth it was gross...and didn't see the point in it either?? But my first thought was of Richard from the first season...and didn't see thie point with him either??

I hadn't thought of Denise...til you mentioned it.... hum and your right you do have a point there...I will need to watch for her more too.

And I say...I think you should go for it..sounds like you really are a big fan of the show! I am too...but I know I could never handle all those bugs and snakes and things...

Well this needs a bump soon anyway, since only a few more days until show nite ~ Woot!
Ok, so Leslie is gone. Not really upset about that. She went and whispered all over about her tribe - Not Good Leslie, not good at all girl! And now the most important part, she is gone and doesn't have any more clues to the hidden immunity idol. She had two clues already since Jaime shared one with her, and now no more. Bummer.
Courtney I guess will have to miss another day to go and eat a cheeseburger for petes sake! Girl, you need to eat. You should have ate like you never ate before ... and THEN went on Survivor. I just can here her bones crack away now. Wow she is fragile. I do feel bad that she was terrible in that challenge, it beat her up bad. What did she think she was getting herself into? This wasn't a spa vacation hun?! But, I think she's the one that is a model, and just totally gave models a bad rap as not even trying for anything physical like that challenge. :sad2:
Yea, naked guy ... If I was Jeff Probst I would have been like uh dude put some clothes on jeepers! Gross!
Still say Todd the male flight attendant could go far, flying kinda under the radar ...

Wow another odd move. I can understand Dave was annoying but shereas only come back was how good she is at challenges? HELLO they have only won 1/3 of the challenges. Sorry the camp guy stays bye bye Sherea ROFL

Todd and Jean-Robert are turning into the 2 guys to watch I think. Interesting since they are both on the same team. Jean-Robert really does have something up his sleeve after all haha. The guy just starts talking mandarin? I mean come on ROFL.

Maybe a team shakeup or something next week huh? woot!

Mnementh
10-12-2007, 02:49 PM
These people this season are so annoying. There are usually several likeable people in the game. This season, there aren't so many. The most likeable person was the one who got voted out last week, but I knew she wouldn't make it far because she didn't know how to play the game.

I can say I won't miss Dave, but I agree that at this point in the game, his tribe needs him more than Sherea.

AstroGigiblue
10-12-2007, 10:21 PM

I agree, Jean-Robert just starts talking mandarin out of nowhere?! It was kinda cool actually, that he was the only one that could really communicate with the fishing family.
What was even cooler, was the way the fishing family had those birds! Tying their necks somehow, so the birds didn't swallow the fish, how bizarre was that?! I have never seen anything like that. And those birds were just catching fish left and right. I honestly thought when the family first showed up, and those birds were tied to the boat, they were going to have them for dinner as well.
I'm not surprised that Dave got voted off. I think a not smart move on the tribes part. Everyone saw what happened when Dave was kidnapped and sent to the other tribe. His original tribe was dying without him there. They could barely get a fire started. He was a workhorse around camp for sure. Sherea did nothing around camp. She wasn't THAT great at challenges, she should have been voted off.
Todd still is doing very well in the game.
Next week's previews look interesting, but somehow they always make it seem like something is going on and nothing really is at all. We'll have to see.

jeffgwins
10-12-2007, 11:29 PM

I can say I won't miss Dave, but I agree that at this point in the game, his tribe needs him more than Sherea.

She was likeable and that was her downfall. Unfortunately in this game you can't be that nice. You can be nice, but still have a degree of backbone and fight in you. I think the nicest person I ever saw win this game was Ethan from Survivor Africa.

I know there will be other opinions on that and I welcome any reminders of other nice winners you can remember.

As far as the Dave or Sherea situation, I say that Sherea should have gone. Of course we are at the mercy of the editors and what they allow us to see. But when she made that comment to Peih Gee about "I am all about the challenges and you are all about the camp life", I think I rolled my eyes more than the rest of the players.

If Sherea was all about the challenges then why do they keep losing. Apparently being lazy and "saving yourself" for challenges isn't working for the tribe. Oh and then when she said "I won't work until I have to", I thought to myself, uh wake up! Work is what it is all about in this stage of survivor. But each one has their own strategy.

And Jean-Robert with the Mandarin?, very very cool.

And one more point. When they showed Erik on this last episode I asked my family, "where did he come from?" Again, I think the players that make it the farthest in the show are rarely seen in the first episodes. So I say watch out for Erik and Denise. Those are my two predictions.

Ant so right also about them always fooling us with previews ROFL

I was sure that that they would vote off Shere after how she said she did all the work.. ( I kept saying work all you do is lay around) and was good and the challenges.. omg couldn't believe she was saying that. So again I thougth she would be voted off. But I was wrong again just like they should have voted Cortney off last week!! Dave diffinitly was annoyining...but still they wouldn't like what Sheere said.

I too was shocked when Jean-Robert all of a sudden could speak Mardarin
was pretty cool that he could..and its true that if you can learn enough of a lanaguge ..once put in the situation of having to speak it...can bring it all back. (Did with my hubby....he took german in high school and wsa able to pick it back up again in Germany)

I agree Denise is one to watch...but so is Jean-Robert. and maybe Eric.

Yes since day one they have always had a way of making those previews always llok better than they were the following week. It does seem this season though they don't seem to care if you make them lose challenages...or don't work they won't vote you off as they have in the pass. As I said...I still in shock from last wek that they didn't vote Cortney off...well guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Edited for truth.

ANYWAYS!

wow! I know alot of people are going to freak but that was the smartest play they had, for once they seem like they saw this game before ROFL.

I mean come on for a team who didnt think the other team was going to take their members away too? How stupid of them to think they were only gaining 2 members not losing them. After that who would have thought they could come up with such a devious plan.

I bet it pays off no matter what, jean-robert will either be voted off or flip leaving them with more members in the end.

Thank goodness I wasn't the only one who thought like they looked like a bunch of idiots. I wanted to smack my TV when I saw that. The other team knew right off the bat that pretty much they would be losing 2 members, and they even knew which two would be taken.

What do you think about their decision to keep a stronger person, but yet one that doesn't want to be there over one that does and will be more willing to help out?

heh, it was one of those moments when I actually talked to the television. "you cant be that stupid" I said.

as far as keeping james, they seemed leary of aaron. Not sure I would have done it that way, either. I thought about it a bit, (i know sad, I do that ROFL) and you know, if they go to the next challenge and their old team mates act weird or stuck up, they can use james to win?!?! the choice could still haunt them tho obviously.

wont it be interesting if the next challenge the other team figures out what happened and both teams try to lose ROFL

Yup, I agree. Now that Probst and everyone else knows what plan they have up their sleeve. It would be a waste of time to have a regular challenge, since we know they will throw it anyway.
Yes, we did see in the previews that they will be eating something gross. But, it's not to say they still won't have some kind of physical challenge either. Maybe this "gross eating" challenge is just for some real food or something. We'll have to see.
James is super mad though. Wow ~ I would not want to be those people going back to camp with him. He is going to give them all a piece of his mind I'm afraid.
I almost feel as if James does get voted off soon. We may have another Rupert situation. Rupert was so well liked, that he ended up winning some money at the end too, due to being the most likeable and deserving or something like that. And America got to vote on it.
Oh and ... Do we have another Rob and Amber situation brewing with Jaime and Erik?? ROFL!!

Are you comparing James to Rupert? I don't really see much of a comparison, myself, after overhearing his conversation in the water with Jean-Robert regarding Courtney. He said some awful things and he just looked like an idiot. I couldn't imagine Rupert saying anything like that about anyone. I'm not a big Courtney fan, myself, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed...

No, No, No! LOL! There is NO comparison at all between the two.
Not because of James' personality at all! Because of how he is playing the game, or was anyway ... Before his little chat in the water with Jean-Robert. I agree completely, that James' comments about Courtney, just put himself in a very bad light. Rupert would have never stooped to the level James is at right now. By the way, I wish Rupert would have won that Season ~ He was awesome to watch!
I'm just saying "the Rupert winning money situation", because people (all of us fans watching), might think that James was wrongly voted off, if and when he goes. Because of the other tribe choosing him, and then throwing challenges, just to vote him off. That is why I say we may see some additional prize money handed out his way. ;) NOT because of his more recent comments made in the game.
Honestly, I would be very surprised if anyone actually remembers him for those comments ~ Hopefully, they will though, come jury time, if James makes it that far.
Still saying Todd should be one to watch as well, for possibly making it very far in the game. ;)

haha

OK so you have a team who cant win even when the other team isnt trying

Then you have someone shock you at tribal by saying they are an outsider

Then you see the previews that the immunity idol is found by the other team?!?! how does that happen. Why doesnt James just take it right in front of them at this point?

haha the past 2 weeks have been great after such a slow start. Looks like a merge or a team switch is going to happen next week too... I think I said that last week tho ROFL

AstroGigiblue

Yup ~ Wow!!
That was pretty funny that James was holding back during that challenge to try and let Denise get ahead.
The fact that James has the other tribes immunity idol ~ Wow! That was soooo ROFL when Todd and Amanda did find the idol and Frosti happened to be right there and part of the action!
So basically one tribe will now have two immunity idols and the other tribe ~ none!
That plan went downhill and fast.
I can't believe Todd told everyone about the immunity idol. Not sure if he's good at keeping secrets anymore - lol.
Very surprised actually that they did end up voting off Sherea instead of Jean-Robert.
Courtney is not pleased to say the least for sure.
That eating challenge was pretty bad. Baby Turtles and Bird Fetuses ~ Gross!!
Finally things have gotten interesting, and eager to see what happens next week for sure!

It's pretty much like signing up for anything else online. If you're nervous don't do it. It will show your name and email address to the other members of the tribe. Right now that's me and Aengus so there are 6 other people that can sign up.

The idea is pretty simple. Go to CBS.com. Hit the Survivor page and click on the Fantasy League link. You sign up. You click "join a private tribe" and use the tribe name and password in my previous post to join our tribe. You pick 4 survivors from the show to be on your team every week. If they do certain things on that week's episode you get points. Some of the things you get points for are winning immunity, crying, reading tree mail etc. You can also assign bonus points for each of your survivors. If they do the thing you pick for them you'll get even more points. The game blacks out while the show is on the air so you have to make you weekly picks before that. The points are usually updated sometime the next day.

I've been playing all season so I already have 1000+ points. I thought maybe some others of you were already playing but you're welcome to start now if you want to.

OK So pretty straight forward. Frosti, made sense. I think courtney saved her tribemates from mutiny by not putting any resisistance to him going.

Pretty average episode until the end! I just hope its not another vote, or we know that Eric just goes bye bye.

Interesting episode.

The challenge was pretty cool.

Not surprised on Frosti being voted off.

I agree Courtney did her tribe good, by going along with voting Frosti, and not making waves by not.

Peih-Gee winning the challenge, wow! She saved her behind for sure!

I can't believe they ended this episode like that?! I do believe another person will be voted off. Chances are it is Erik. But it could also be James as he didn't play one of his idols, and everyone knows it. Although, he may have another chance to reveal it, but I kinda doubt it.

Erik could be another contender to win this, if he happens to make it through without being voted off. He could then join my picks of Todd and Amanda as well.

Guess we'll need to wait until next week ... WEDNESDAY that is. At least if I remember correctly there is no episode on Thanksgiving.

What happened last night? I missed it.

You didn't really miss a whole lot.

They did basically a recap episode last nite. There were some new scenes, that we haven't seen before. Nothing major.

They went into how everyone had been eating worms, frogs and plant roots, because they were starving, which we didn't know before. Showed Todd and Jean-Robert go at it a little bit, which we didn't see before. That was over the wheel puzzle challenge and Jean-Robert had placed all blame on Todd, even though he denied it, when Todd confronted him.

They showed that cliffhanger again. In which Jeff basically says at Tribal that they have more business to tend to. And that again is how it ended.

Nothing new in terms of people being voted off, or new challenges.

It was their best move, and amanda really is the power broker here under the radar isnt she LOL. I decided that before the previews for next week, and now no doubt LOL.

Now that he is gone, I hope some post-boot interviews will shed some light on why James held on to both Immunity Idols, instead of giving Todd & Amanda back "theirs". The show never adequately addressed this issue, aside from Todd once saying that he was waiting for James to offer to give the Idol back.

Todd gave him the Idol to save his butt when it looked like Zhan Hu would vote him off. He also told him where to find the second Idol at their camp. Honestly, for James to hang on to both of them once the tribes had merged made him look like an immunity hog -- and virtually untouchable. Blind-siding was the only way they were going to get rid of him.

I bet if James had given back one of the two Idols, he would have engendered more trust, made Todd & Amanda feel "safer", and taken a bit of that target off his own back.

Yikes I forgot to post again .... Well tomorrow is Survivor day ....

Wow James! I would have thought that he would have used at least one of his idols ... guess not. Seriously, anyone that has ever watched Survivor knows that you can only use the idols up to a certain point in the game. Therefore, he should have used at least one, if not for that reason alone.

And if looks could kill ~ Probst would have been the target. Wow! Dagger eyes!

Just very surprised that James didn't use an idol. But he really really must have not thought he was a target. They really must have been super quiet about their plans to vote him off around camp!

Thought it was very cool that Denise was picked to go on the reward with Peih-Gee and Erik too. I think Denise got a lot out of that. Erik still flying under the radar. :rolleyes1

Courtney needs to go though. She annoys me!

Very good episode! :thumbsup2

OK so they fooled us last week, pretty standard episode! No surprises there. Looks like Todd is in trouble for pulling a johnny fairplay move but also looks like it wasnt a ploy. Guess we will have to wait and see huh. Next week should be good, someone has to make a move!

Each week is getting scary now that it seems they're targeting Todd every game. He better win the next two immunity challenges. He sure needs it right now. It's getting to the point where I'm too nervous to watch.

Peih-Gee is the one that needs to go. Why put someone with a Chinese heritage on a show that's taking place in China and then ask a bunch of trivia about China? Seems she has a bit of an unfair advantage.

You didn't miss much. Pretty typical. Erik got voted off because Peih-Gee won immunity again. Peih-Gee will most likely be gone next week unless she wins immunity another time. They made it look like Denise might vote for Todd, but she stuck with her alliance.

It will be interesting next week, though. If Peih-Gee DOES win another immunity, the "big four" will have to get rid of one of their own. I'd like to say Todd would get the boot, but being the manipulative bugger he is, I doubt it. So it will be interesting to see who gets voted off should Peih-Gee win again.

if they dont vote todd out before Peih-Gee then they better get rid of denise instead of todd. She hasn't annoyed anyone but Peih-Gee the entire game, and even got her respect back.

I could not agree more with this statement. If there is anymore China trivia, she will be on top of the game again.

Erik sure didn't seem to fight very hard about trying to sway people to vote anyone else off, but him.

I don't know what to think about the whole Todd and his Sister story. I would like to believe him, and think he was telling the truth. Everyone shows emotion differently. If he was lying, and it was all made up, I think that's really sad. Johnny Fairplay wasn't liked very much either once everyone found out he was lying. Todd will meet the same fate, if it was all made up as well.

I would like to see Todd, Denise, or Amanda win the game at this point. Yes, in that order too, if any of them happen to get voted off soon. :thumbsup2

I would not like to see Courtney or Peih-Gee win. They have annoyed me way too much. :rotfl:

OK well it was a great episode even tho the end was typical! We got to see what people are really thinking haha and thats always fun! Can you believe we have only 1 episode left already! amazing how fast it goes.

Well P.G. needed to go, not sure how this all turns out now. Seems amanda wants to get rid of Todd, not really sure why now? haha thats her best bet. If amanda was to walk in with courtney and todd how does she NOT win?

Thats the way to play it, Denise has to go. Its all of the other 3's best chance to win. Get rid of Denise. When she said she thinks she made the wrong move, she totally did. Better win immunity Denise...

This is the first time in the history of reality TV that the person I picked to win it all in the beginning is still there in the last episode, so that's kind of exciting.

I really think that if Todd makes it to the final vote, he really could win. The outcomes always seem to be the person you think is least likely to win (except for last season). Todd really has played a good game. Sure, he backstabbed and whatnot, but that's how you play Survivor. Of the remaining people, he's the only one that's played it the way it should be played.

OK. sigh... its over :(

Well first I want to say if I could have been on the jury, Courtney would have gotten my vote LOL. Yup, I hated her like the rest of you, but she aced the toughest part of survivor. She answered the questions from the jury like no other. I was disappointed in Amanda's performance totally in that tribal council, and Todd did average.

The good girl act just didnt work for Amanda, she just had horrible opening comments, and just looked like a deer in the headlights when Jaime unloaded on her. Amanda should have won survivor she was the most tactical player in the game and when it was time to show it, she denied it and let Todd get all the credit. Todd didnt win survivor, Amanda lost. Amanda should have said to Jaime "I am not playing your game, I dont need your vote. next."

Todd, overall good player, and in the end, snowing JR one last time earned him $1,000,000. Not much to say about Todd, he had to be the odds on favorite to win.

Courtney... Biggest surprise. I expected her to get NO votes when I saw the final 3. Her performance at that last tribal was like WOW. Had JR not been such a sucker, this girl would have pulled off the biggest upset in survivor history ever. She is the most annoying player, but her honesty and well thought answers were spot on.

Next season sounds great @_@ Can't wait to see the cast of characters in the all star team! WOOT!

Oh, is next season another all-star season? I didn't get to see the end of the reunion show because I was a little preoccupied, but I did watch all of the actual last episode. The reunion show seemed to ignore the first five or six people that got voted off, and they were the ones we really needed to know the most about since we didn't get to see much of them.

Woot for Todd though. I was rooting for him all along and I, personally, thought his answers were the best of the three when being confronted by the jury. I would've been more surprised if he hadn't won.

there will be a team of new people, all people who have studied the game since the beginning!

and a team of like all-stars from seasons past!

I guess for me, I saw through Todd's expected answers. Courtney just freaked me out with how well she handled the jury, and how she actually had an answer ready for anything they threw at her.

One thing for sure, Amanda was not prepared. She deserved no votes.

You're right about Amanda. That was an awful performance. I know during the actual voting, they showed who voted for Amanda. Do you remember who it was, because I can't. I'm assuming whoever it was had planned on voting for her all along, regardless what answers anyone gave.

I was rooting for Amanda, but her performance at the final TC was disappointing to say the least. Even so, I expected her to get more votes than Courtney. Courtney did well in front of the jury but I don't think that makes up the entire rest of the game.

I know it's shallow but did anyone else think ALL the survivors looked better in China? When they first switched to L.A. I thought, "Who are these people?"

The "Super Fans" versus the All-stars sounds like a great idea to me. I hope the Super Fans include some of the better known internet speculators.

haha yes I totally agree! Even PG looked HOT when returning to the jury in China.

I thought amanda and courtney in particular looked horrible at the LA studio!

You know, now that you say that, I think a lot of them actually looked better when they were out there in the wild. Then when they came back it was scary! Makes me want to camp out with no food and shelter for a while and see if my looks improve. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

PS. I also thought Amanda was a lot prettier when she was in China. And was it just me or did Courtney look like Wynona Rider in the LA studio?

Wow!! Amazing end to Survivor!

I wish I would have been playing on some kind of Fantasy League ~ I might have had a chance to go to the Live Finale!! How very cool would that have been! If they are still doing that for Fantasy Leagues, where a fan playing along, gets a shot at being flown to LA for the Live Finale, if they do pick the winner, or however that is determined. Todd I had pegged to go very far from the beginning as well. Bummer .... Oh well, something to think about for next season. :rolleyes1 So very happy that my pick won!! Woot!! :goodvibes

I also agree that the "good girl act" did not work out well for Amanda at all.

Courtney still being there for the final 3 was no surprise, even though I would have loved to seen her be gone way sooner.

I'm not surprised that Denise was voted out. She was a huge threat to anyone being in the final 3.

Very strange to see this season having a final 3, instead of just 2 people left standing at the end of it all. Good editing too I might add, as I really expected Jeff Probst to be flying the "votes" in to LA, like he always has done in the past! hehe

And Yes ANT - I also thought Courtney looked a lot like Wynona Rider in the studio as well! lol

Can't wait until the next Season of Survivor begins! Yay!!
