Hello DISers!

A couple of months ago I posted on here for some ideas for uniquely Canadian items that would make great gifts for Disney CMs. A few people had the great idea that Smarties are different in Canada, so I thought I would bring a bunch of boxes with me.

I just thought I'd mention to anyone else who thought they might bring some that I found a great pack of 30 small boxes at Walmart for under $4! They're meant for Halloween, but they're just the regular colours so I picked them up now! (If anyone IS going for Halloween, they did have black and orange ones!)

I also had a question... do you think the characters would accept the small boxes of Smarties as a gift? Or would they not be able to take them?

Good idea about the smarties. I know when I mention smarties down south they think I mean those hard sour candies (kinda like sweet tarts)

I was thinking of bringing down some kit kat/ smarties/ coffee crisp mini bars for our Disney Cruise but don't think they will survive the heat during the transfer from the airport to resort and resort to ship? So might just do some other type of candy????

I was worried about them melting too, so I'm planning to keep them in my carry-on. The bag of the 30 boxes really isn't very big. Halloween candy gets smaller every year!! ;)

Funny you should mention Smarties.

I just bought some to take to a Dis meet we are having down there. They do not have Smarties in the U.S. And their Kit Kats are different from ours. I think ours is much better....:thumbsup2

I hope they don't melt either....:lmao: I bought a big box of them at Costco. I told my son he will be carrying them in his backpack. The box weights 5 pounds. It will feel like he is carrying his homework..:rotfl2:
