Other than calling it a "real anchor" for the park, There's not much else. Rumor has it, they will be building an attraction like Test Track but with a Cars theme. Add a restaurant and a shop, and voila, Carsland

We have a Cars-ride at WDS (DLP). It is basically the tea cups with cars.

IF they add a cars land doesnt that just get the park theme farther away from the cali ( they already added that bugs land)

I never understood having a park in cali themed to cali anyway...I think we'll be seeing a LOT of changes coming soon. Heck, they might even change the name of the park entirely, I mean, look at MGM

It depends on how they do it... the final race in Cars took place in California... it ties into the Rte 66 theme...

Basically, if it's a Piston Cup Finals theme, then it's California. Radiator Springs... not so much. Or at least I always got the impression that was more Arizona or New Mexico, rather than SoCal.

Car's location is almost an exact duplicate of Route 66 through Arizona. Route 66 through California is the Mojave Desert and then the San Bernadino Mountains. Not quite the same.

Though they do have Ligthning and Mater out by condor flats which is technically supposed to represent Mojave.

Maybe the Mullahand Motors could tie in with it

Mulholland Drive is a different location, though I'm sure they'll tie the stupid mouse coaster in.
