We're flying out from Gatwick next week, and wondered how easy it is to purchase toddler snacks in Gatwick Departures (North Terminal).

When we flew at the beginnning of the year we had to taste all the jars/formula etc at security and I didn't want all the hasstle again. I thought I'd just buy them in the departure lounge.

My youngest is now 14 months, so she eats most things, but I would usually have taken some toddler type snacks for her, for during the flight and maybe a jar for 12 months plus just incase she didn't like the food they give her! Also, is it easy to buy fruit?

Sorry about all the questions, but I don't think that we, or the rest of the passengers fancy having a screaming/hungry baby for the entire flight.

Any help would be great and help put my mind at rest.

I had non-wet (if that makes sense) food in my bag prior to bag check at Gatwick at the end of april. I was not challenged. I think I had bananas, Organix goodie bars, raisins and lollipops (to suck to prevent sore ears).
The bananas are great just as you're landing, it gives them that bit of extra energy to get through the whole airport/bag collection/hire car/drive to hotel tired time.
Can't remember what was available past security as we'd done bag drop so only got there right at the last minute. I remember a Boots - might be able to get healthy snacks and fruit in there :confused3
