Has Anyone Ever Stayed At The Vw Cabins? If So Can I Get Some Feedback. How Far From Pool And Bus Stops? I Have A 2 Bedroom At Ssr But We Are Bringing Another Family And Thought We Trade It In For 2 Cabins? Which Is The Better Place To Stay?

Are you referring to the Fort Wilderness cabins because VWL doesn't have any cabins.

Fort Wilderness is a totally separate resort than Wilderness Lodge, and it is not part of DVC, although they do occasionally share bus transportation. You can also travel from VWL to Fort Wilderness via boat.

To stay at a non-DVC resort on points would require at least two or three times the amount of points required to stay at a DVC resort such as SSR.

Did not realize that they were seperate resorts. I am unable to get 2 1-bedrooms at any of the DVC resorts for the dates we are going. Looking for another solution. I've tried keeping the 2 bedroom and getting either a studio or a 1-bedroom at any of the DVC resorts. I need another idea. We jare having a baby so we didn't want to stay in the 2-bedroom with the other fAmily. Didn't know we would have the extra traveler when we made our plans!!!!! Do you have any suggestions?

Yes, We've stayed there many times before buying in to DVC and always had a great time. Here is a website dedicated to answering all questions concerning Fort Wilderness. My only sugestion would be to rent a golf cart to get to and from the pools and campfire area.

SSR will always be available without the $95 exchange fee. This is the last chance to reserve the wilderness cabins without that fee. (Must reserve by end of the year).

I know SSR is bigger, nicer, newer, yadda, yadda, but try something different before it gets more expensive. :thumbsup2
