Hi Tim
They are there as part of The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival that happens every October. Full list of performers in link below. They will only perform a few songs its not a full concert, we saw Sister sledge last time we were there for the event. They have some great performers this time, wish we were going instead of Disneyland.

Forgot to say, its included in your admission there is no extra charge to see them so you won't find tickets anywhere.
We'll be there for the Beach Boys too. Kool and the Gang were there one time a couple of years ago and it is a great atmosphere. My DBF is guttted that he won't get to see the Outlaws!

we heard the beach boys a few years back when we were at disneyland in california...
they performed in California Adventure and we could see and hear them from the balcony of our room at the Grand Californian....it was great - and i could dance and sing to my hearts content up there without totally embarrassing the kids....(there were a number of us baby boomers out there dancing and singing on our balconies :) )
i don't know how many of them are 'original' Beach Boys, but they were really good.....last time i heard them play was when i was a young girl way back in the 60's at the michigan state fair.........right near champion cows and pigs and all that state fair stuff......memories....
anyway, i'm sure it'll be fun to hear them, even if it's only a few songs....they'll probably play all their great blockbusters....that's what they did in california.....ok....time for song break.....gotta go dig up my golden oldies.....

We saw them perform at the Epcot food festival around three years back.
The only original member then, and now I think, is Mike Love, though sometimes Bruce Johnson joins them for a few shows.
The set lasted around 30-40 minutes and consisted of all their big hits. They went down a storm and everyone was one their feet dancing.
Finally a warning. They were very, very popular and the line to get in started several hours before they were due on.We joined about 2 hours before the start and could only stand at the back.
Last time they did two shows so maybe it's easier to get into the second show.

This topic must have been made just for me !! :lmao:
I tried and tried to wait to book my holiday so it would clash with the Beach Boys at Epcot, but the guys didn't get their itinerary until late this year, so we had already booked up as we didn't want to leave it until the last minute.
You are soooooooo lucky to get to see them. But be warned, like Dave says, it does get packed, and you have to get in early. We got a seat down the middle and had a brilliant view, but we had queued for a considerable time before hand though. (Poor DH and DS !!) I've been a HUGE fan of them for years and years.
There is only Mike Love and Bruce Johnstone from the original line up, but they are still extremely good. Mike also signs autographs if you are lucky enough to be near the front to manage to talk to him. He's one of very few "mega" stars who makes time for his fans. Mike's son, Christian, is also in the band now and he has one fantastic voice, believe me.
You won't get a full concert - around 40-45 minutes, but it's worth going if you are a fan. PM me, I have lots of bootleg tracks that I could copy for you. Do you have "Pacific Ocean Blue" by Dennis Wilson? It is fantastic. I also have a copy of the New Years concert at the Luxor in Vegas from last year that someone did for me.

I think she is a fan.
I am obviously too young, I have heard of them but could not tell you anything they sang:rotfl2:
Have to admit that I'm not really a fan - not my sort of music - but my DBF loves them. I think it will be cool to see a legendary band play though :thumbsup2
Don't think they'd play my sort of music at Disney!

He's not the only one, we come home before the Outlaws are on, oh well. :confused3

I saw Brian Wilson at Bournemouth around three years back when he was doing some shows to premiere Smile---brilliant night.
I went to see the Beach Boys many times in the 60's and 70's including their first ever UK show at the Astoria Finsbury Park.
Just wish Mike Love and Brian Wilson would put their differences behind them and tour together again while they still can. Going by what I have read that's not likely to happen.

I know Dave, it's sad !! Sounds like you are a BIG fan too then !!
I never ever saw the original line up at all - but so wish I could have.
I remember them coming to Glasgow but couldn't get tickets at the time.
Guess we just have to make do with the line-up that we have for now. Maybe the guys will see sense eventually and get together again though.
You didn't see Brian when he was in London recently then?

No I didn't go to London as I thought seeing the Smile show was the absolute best and anything else would be a let down.
He did a lot of hits first half, then the whole of Smile second half followed by an encore of more hits.
At the end the entire theatre was on it's feet applauding and I want to remember him like that.
The new London shows were, I think, to premiere a new work and I fear anything new will only be a shadow of his past stuff---though I'd love to be wrong.

I was GUTTED that I couldn't see the Beach Boys at Epcot...although I got to see Starship and I loved being able to see Mickey (the other Mickey!) in concert!
Of course, this year they go and book super early and had we gone I would have seen them...typical!!!
And you don't have to be a certain age to love the Beach Boys, I'm 34 and have loved them since I was about 5!!! ;)
