We're coming down this Friday for a 3 night stay at the YC. Would it be worth it for me to add the DDP to my ressie? Also, would I have DDP on Monday, the day we leave?
What's the cost per day/per person? Would it be cost-effective, AND will I be able to get any reservations??
Also, if I eat say lunch or breakfast at a sit down restaurant, does that count as my sit down meal for the day?
Thanks.

The Dining Plan is calculated according to how many nights you are staying, so for a 3 night stay you would have 3 TS, 3 CS and 3 snacks per person to be used between Friday at your checkin time and Monday by midnight. Yes, you can use the credits the last full day of your checkout date. The cost is 38.99 per person per day for an adult, and 10.99 for a child under age 10. That inlcudes tax and gratuity. Any TS restaurant meal counts, no matter what meal you are eating. We usually use one of our TS meals at Sci-Fi for lunch, for example.
I don't know if it would be cost effective for you, or whether there are any reservations left. Your best bet would be to call and ask!!!

We are arriving on Sat for the free dining and made our reservations over 3 months ago when we booked the trip. We had a lot of trouble getting the restaurants we wanted and no reservations are really at decent times. I tried a few time to get earlier times for a few of them and no luck. Just called yesterday. There might be some places available, but I would call for reservations first before booking the meal plan.
Whether or not it is cost effective depends on where you want to eat. If you want TS every day then, yes, if you don't care toss up. It is a good deal especially for us - free. I am not sure of the prices but it's around 38 per adult per night of stay. If you book 3 nights you will have 3 Table Service, 3 Counter Service and 3 snacks. We are using a TS on the day we arrive and saving the last CS for the last day, since 7 nights is 8 days stay and we only receive 7 of each. The sit down meal is the sit down meal no matter when you eat it. Good luck in trying to get reservations.

I just read another post that said it was still 39.99 for this year, changing to 38.99 for next year. But, I just got off the phone with DVC Member Services, and I was quoted the 38.99 adult price for a trip beginning in 2007. So it might be a dollar cheaper or more expensive than you are told here!!!
