I purchased my Cricut in April (yes, that is right I said April  ) and I finally got that little bug out of the box!!! Don't ask me why it has taken so long to finally open it, I don't know. I have read on these boards how great it is and how everyone loves theirs. I guess I was (am) a little intimidated by that little bug ;) . It seems so complicated, too many buttons to push I guess. I don't have a clue on what I am doing. I am having trouble with the dials, first it would not cut through my cardstock, now it is cutting so hard it has cut my mat. :confused3 I know it will just take practice. But at least it is out of the box, one step at time.

There's a learning curve, but once you get it, it really is a lot of fun!

Good going Vickey - as Kim already said, it does take some getting used to, but worth it in the long run.
Trust me, I still look at the directions often to see exactly how different styles are achieved, and yes, I have made mistakes and wasted some paper, but that is how I am learning. Hang in there!:)

Vickey, I'm with you. My dh and ds gave me mine for my birthday last november and i just took it out of the box a couple of weeks ago. I was having all kinds of trouble, trying to cut out stuff. like you it cut my mat, i did not cut through the paper. UUUGGGHHH. they say you'll love it once you get used to it. i certainly don't love mine yet. sorry but i guess i need more time to play with it.
