While at MK yesterday, DS8 was chatting with a CM at the jewelry store about his new lanyard and pins. She then announces that he could have his pick of any pin in the store. DS8 tells her that it isn't necessary, but she insisted. He picked out a small Star Wars pin that he had asked for earlier in the day. She tried to get him to look at the limited edition pins, but he felt that was being greedy since we had just bought him 4 pins and a lanyard.
Then again this morning at DTD the same thing happened at Pin Traders. And again, he picked out just a small Pirate head pin. It's these random acts of kindness from CM's that make Disney such a special place. On the down side, we now have created a pin monster.:rotfl:

Congratulations on raising such a considerate son! "Little" things like this are what the kids remember.

I'm debabting if I want to start the whole pin collection thing with my son on our trip. I think he would love it, but I don't know alot about it or how much we'd end up spending!!!

$6.00 for the lanyard, $40 something on 4 pins. Pins range from $6.95 to some over $15.00. Nothing like buying a $10 pin, for him to turn around and trade for one from EuroDisney. :lmao: It is very addicting. He thought if he asked someone to trade, he had to go ahead and accept one of their pins. We had to practice his turn down of "Thank you for showing me your pins. Maybe we can trade next time."
