I just got tickets to it this year and I am trying to convince my GF's family to also make the buy... :santa:
Does anyone have some MVMCP pictures in a photobucket account or smugmug that I could take a look at?
Or if you would rather post them here on the thread then please go ahead.
Thanks

RIght now I only have pictures of the parade. We went in '05 and had a GREAT time. We're doing it again this November. I can't wait to go back. There is so much more stuff I want to take pictures of. I only had my 3.2MP PnS and my film SLR back then. Didn't have as much knowledge as I do now either, both photography wise and camera wise. Next trip I'll have my dSLR.

Oh, I forgot, these were also taken the night of the MVMCP... Bullseye is one of the rare characters that comes out for the party. Abu from Aladdin was also out that night by the Magic Carpet Ride in Adventureland, but we missed him. He's also a very rare character.

I primarily have parade pictures too. Coincidentally, I just downloaded the Lightroom update and was sitting down to work on the pictures from that trip (how pathetic is it that I'm still trying to finish processing images from a trip almost 10 months ago, and is it even more pathetic that I'm happy to have the opportunity to do so on a Friday night? :rotfl2:)
Anyway, here are a few I already have in my Photobucket account. I'll add more if I come across any that might make the event seem more attractive to your friends. FWIW we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it.

We had matching shirts, and had done LTT before the party which was a lot of fun.

We didn't do a lot of the christmas shows, but rode many rides with little wait. I wish we had met more characters during the party, but gives me reason to go again.
Have fun!!!

Jen -
These are great photos. I was not very happy with my MVMCP parade pictures last year. What lens/settings did you use? We're going again this year and I hope to improve on my parade photos.
Thanks!

Thanks! I took all the parade pictures with my 50mm f/1.8. Looking at the exif data, I think I was shooting in manual mode pretty much the whole time at 1.8 and ISO 800. My shutter speeds varied from about 1/20 to 1/60, although I think most of the longer ones were blurry. In hindsight I probably should have bumped the ISO even higher (I knew I was underexposing slightly), but I was afraid of noise. I shot in RAW and boosted the exposure a bit in Lightroom (+.75 to 1.25 on most).
Have fun--I wish we could go back again this year!
Here are a few but I was pretty disapointed with my results. I just had a kit lens at the time. I will definately be taking my 50/1.8 to MNSSHP this year. :)
