My parents just returned from a Royal Carribean Eastern Carribean Cruise. Their sailing was the first one since 9-11 that ALL passengers did NOT have to clear immigrations in St.Thomas -- only NON US Citizens had to once again.

I was just wondering if this is now a change on the Magic as well?

Thank you!

I had meant to post about this but keep getting interrupted by LAUNDRY!!

Yes, it's true, starting on 2-2 cruise!! We didn't have to get up so early on St Thomas day, what a relief!! We had a 740 am excursion planned, went back to room after late dinner Tuesday night and there was a special bulletin on the bed stating that only non US citizens had to check in in the morning!! So that meant we could sleep til 630am instead of 530am, such excitement, especially with the 2 hour time change affecting us!!

That's great news! As a sleep deprived U.S. citizen, I will relish the extra sleep.

First Hairbraiding is added on the ship and now this !!!!!! HOOORRRRAAAYYYYYY!!!! I also think I read somewhere that the ship stays longer in St. Maarten too (10:30 instead of 7:30). Now we just need Delta to collect baggage after the cruise at the terminal!!

We are leaving 3/2-3/9 and the news just keeps getting better.

Yes it's true...although we weren't told of it until the night before. It was a major relief!
The hairbraiding seemed to go very well, they did it by the Goofy pool on days at sea and even a few other evenings. The prices were the same as Castaway Cay.
We left the port in St. Martin at 7 pm but did just sit off of the coast for awhile. Our server in Palo said they stay late about once a month. Don't know why, or which sailing.

I'll post more later...full trip report to follow!

Thank goodness!!!!! When I had originally told my three teens that they had to wake up at the crack of dawn and go to the theatre they were not happy campers!!

This really is great news!!!
