What do any of you like as far as places that will do video hosting. I'd like to find someplace that doesnt higher quality then like youtube or something. Plus that can be somewhat private. I've looked around but havent stumbled across anything yet. Any suggestions would be great!
I checked out this link http://www.dvguru.com/2006/04/07/ten-video-sharing-services-compared/
Of course that's over a 1 1/2 years old it appears.
Thanks

I know that Smugmug does video hosting, but it's only MPEG1, which is pretty lame.
One of the problems is with compatibility. We are used to the ubiquity of JPG viewers, so we forget that there was a day when not everyone could view a JPG file. The same is true today for DIVX, XVID, H.264, and othe modern codecs. The codecs that are common are pretty outdated.
You might try file hosting sites like box.net and just upload your video files that way. They won't play in a window like they do on YouTube, but you can keep complete control over the format.
