October trips...time to get excited!!!

8 Days!! It was a 10 month wait for this trip and the last 2 weeks have flown by. I am over the top excited, but am getting very stressed about....packing, lines, lovebugs (yuck!!), ADR's, my mom and husband not getting along for 10 days!, my 2 yo not sleeping, the flight.

Does anyone else feel this way, or have I gone crazy!! I want to just go an enjoy, but these days leading up to vacation have been a nightmare!

These boards have helped me so much. It's so great to see others that love Disney as much as my family and I!

I know just how you feel. We leave tomorrow and up until yesterday I was so excited I couldn't stand it! Now I am a ball of nerves, stressing over everything and I know it is going to stay that way until we are in the car on our way to the airport. Then I will look like this....:banana: :cool1: :yay: :cheer2:

We surprised the kids during our last trip. We let them have a downstairs sleepover and told them we would be waking up early. We didn't tell them where we were going until we got to the airport.

AIRPORT!!!! We did the same thing to our dd at the same age and we got her good! She was dancing in the parking lot. So my vote goes for airport.

We leave in however many days it says on my ticker. My dd said that she wanted to be suprised on this trip also and I am having a terrible time. I want to tell her so bad. I finally got her to say that it was ok for me to tell her 2 days before we were going so that she could help plan, pack, and we could talk about everything.

Ok so I am down to 13 days. I am done with work at 1am Wednesday morning until the 27th. I/we need this vacation so badly.

You too with the issues at work ? Glad I'm not alone...I have a gov't job with a perk of when you work O/T you can "bank" the time instead of taking the pay...my behind is in that office every work day unless I'm sick from Nov 18 through June 20th then twice a year I schedule my WDW trips my co-workers and yes even my boss seems to get a major attitude problem when I put in for the time off...I am finally learning to chalk it up to jealousy on their part & dismiss the aggravation and the snide remarks...Mickey here I come in 6 days !

Oh yes. My husband and I both work retail. They don't want us to take any time off after Halloween. Our week off is October 27 - November 2. It took some campaigning for both of us to get the week off.

Getting time off isn't the issue - I can take time off pretty much whenever. It's annoying, though, because I have to train a temp every single time I want to take more than a half a day off.

Just booked spur-of-the-moment 10th Anniversary to Yacht Club
October 28th to November 2nd.

We were originally going to YC for the 10th as of last year but decided to do Adventures by Disney instead for a change this summer. Then a piece of real estate we'd been waiting for came up and we had to cancel the ABD.

I have NEVER done an impulse vacation in my life... my Disney trips have always been spread-sheeted, planned and booked a year in advance!
Not sure if I should be terrified or excited....:eek: :yay:
