I just bought the Pentax K100d and the camera comes with the standard 18-55 lense and I have really liked the shots I have been able to take so far but the one thing I miss from my S3 is the long zoom so I was looking at getting the 50-200mm to supplement the kit lense. Do you think that the 50-200 is a good all around walking lense at WDW or would you take both lenses with you into the parks ? course if i take both lenses it means another bag as well :lmao: any ideas:surfweb:

I would definately bing both. The only time I ever used my 55-200 or 75-300 was in the Animal Kingdom. Disney definitely lends itself to wide angle shots, in my opinion.

I agree. The VAST majority of my pics from last years trip were between 18mm & 70mm. Then from there the most were between 18mm & 50mm. Though I still bring the 70-300mm. It is very useful at AK as well as some shows at MGM.

Ditto what the others said. As soon as you try to take a photo of a whole building, or a character shot or family photo, you'll be desperate for something wider than 50mm...

That's kind of specialty lens - mostly, that's wider than the eye can see so you're going to get extremely wide shots. Probably not the kind of thing that you'd want on all the time. Nice lens, though.
Generally, the 18mm that the kit lens gives you is wide enough for most Disney shots, IMHO.

I've seen some great shots from that Sigma lens. In fact, I think it will be my next lens purchase. I think with how close you can get to a lot things at Disney, it could make for a lot of interesting, unique photos.
