I would have a heart attack and died right there. That would really ruin my vacation.

I'd be more concerned if he was too big to fit under my car...

Seeing a gator under my car wouldn't bother me that much. Seeing my car under a gator would be a little more worrisome. We've got bunches of them down where I live. We go canoeing with them frequently.
Good thing you had a macro lens to get a good picture of the lil' fella. :rotfl:

Cute little feller. It's Florida and they have lots of gators. Probably nice and warm under there (or maybe cooler since it is shady). That guy probably couldn't do much more than tickle with his teeth. Than again, hope mama isn't nearby...

There are some BRAVE people posting on this forum!
:scared1:
It may be little - but it is enough to make me run the other way - after I took a few pictures that is. ;)

I'm surprised you even saw it - I'd never notice if there was something like that under the car.

Wow... if you were to trip over that one you might, I don't know... stub a toe? Maybe? :lmao:
That's just a baby. It might tickle if it tried to bite you. You can just grab those behind the neck and on the tail and haul them away to any nearby pond and toss them away.:thumbsup2
It's when they get bigger that you have to worry about them. Adult gators are nothing to necessarily toy with, but babies are pretty harmless. Unless mama gator is nearby, in which case she would be the one to worry about. They can be protective little swamp lizzards.:scared:

Wow ... that's just awesome!! :thumbsup2
Every time we go to Disney I look very carefully in every body of water we pass, hoping to see a stray gator.
I never thought to check under a couple of cars! :lmao:

Knowing my dd, she would have taken the pic and then caught him & took him to the Disney people to take him somewhere. She's like that w/animals.

I bet he was trying to pool hop.
I would have freaked out first, but then I would have been so excited to have actually seen one up close in the "wild", so to speak.

The entrance to Shades of Green is not far from GF. Its actually closer to the Poly. Gators are often seen at the water hazard on the golf course right near the entrance & road. The bus drivers stop & point them out. lol Also, while walking back to Shades of Green, the signs advise to stay on the path due to "wildlife". When they televise the pro-tournaments from the golf courses at Shades Of Green....they always throw in some footage of gators sitting in the water watching the golfers. :rotfl2:
That GF gator is just a baby compared to the one at the corner of SoG entrance & main road near Poly.
BTW, we 've had so many wildlife encounters at SoG its pretty funny. We had one of those tall legged birds walk into our room when the slider was open. We had bunnies & raccoons on our patio. We saw deer near the front of the hotel one night after getting of the bus right there. We also saw deer in the fake lighted xmas deer display at the SoG entrance one night. That was funny.
My SIL & her father (originally from FL) walked out onto the green to get a closer look at the BIG gator. They were nuts if you ask me. I have pics somewhere.

At least you don't have crocodiles up there as well. Cute little gator.
