Could someone give me the details about reserving a room at the Atlantis or Comfort Inn to be able to have access to their pools, etc for the day?
Most hotels I've dealt with have a 3 pm or later check-in, and 11-noon check out? How do you get around this? Do you introduce yourself as a day-tripper off a cruise ship when making the reservation? Is this practice something that the hotels acknowledge?

You may check in at the hotel as soon as you arrive as long as you acknowledge that you won't have access to your room until sometime in the afternoon. But they'll give you vouchers as soon as you check in. You will take these vouchers to the Atlantis Resort and exchange them for the wristbands that give you access to the resort facilities.

The price will vary depending on the time of year.....
If you book online you get a 10% discount. We were charged 198.00 for the room (plus 12% and $6 per adult service fee)
This was the cheapest room at the time I booked. They only allow four in a room.
So it is a little more expensive than the excursion that Disney offers but you get to use the pools. However, you have to pay for your own lunch.
