Member Referral Package - Great Postcards!!!

We just got a package in yesterday's mail, with info on referring new DVC members and the bonus rewards for doing so.

Included were a set of postcards - 1 for each DVC resort. They were pretty nice, but I don't think we'll be using them as intended... to try to refer people to purchase DVC. Rather, I plan to send them to family members who'll be joining us for our summer trip, to get them psyched about where they will be staying. That may ultimately have the same effect! :smooth:

To those who have been DVC members since early- or mid-90s, is this something DVD does from time to time (send out the referral propaganda), or is this something new?

Ohio doesn't allow referrals for DVC anymore, they stopped about 2 yrs ago.:mad:

While we have gotten post cards a couple of times to mail to friends, Texas has never allowed any reward for referral. We haven't received anything for quite some time, as I guess DVC figures there's no point in sending advertising items to non-referral states.

I got the postcards on Friday. I thought the postcards were really pretty. I like them so much, I think I'll just keep them and hang them on my refrigerator!

Are residents of Pennsylvania able to accept a "reward" for a referral?

The brocure says, "Eligible states which permit rewarding members for their participation in the Sharing the Magic Program are:
AL, CA, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IA, KS, LA, MD, MA, MS, MO, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, ND, RI, SD, WI."
