We left MGM and headed straight for Beaches and Cream. Yes, we ate there again. I ordered the Kitchen Sink for myself. Just kidding. We all ate the Kitchen Sink. Well let me tell you – Mandy was quite embarrassing. Do you see this man in the background staring at our Kitchen Sink?
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w120/msmith3405/Dis%20Sept07/May07203.jpg
I don’t know what was up with Mandy, but she got very territorial over this ice cream and told them to quit staring and threw three cherries at them. They put what looks like an entire jar of cherries on top of the Kitchen Sink, so I guess she thought we could afford to lose a few. I was a little upset that she acted like that to those people. I wanted to eat those cherries!
Anyway, that girl can eat some ice cream. I thought I was bad, but she just ate and ate and ate. And she had ice cream topping all over her nose. It was quite a sight. I think she could have eaten the entire thing herself. She ate a ton of that stuff.
I got a call from Jason the other week and this is what he said, “Mandy and I don’t feel we are playing a big enough role in your Trip Report and we want more space.” So that entire story about Mandy was her “more space.” None of it was true, but it was funny, right?
So let me give you the truth about the Kitchen Sink. It was very good. When it came to our table, I dug in and was hoping to hit the Mint Chocolate Chip, but didn’t. Mandy said that she had the Mint Chocolate Chip on her side. So we shared it. There were 7 of us eating that thing and we didn’t even finish it. In the end, it was kind of gross because all the toppings were melted together. I did not like the pnut butter topping and kept getting bites of that.

Sounds like Baby girl was juts overwhelmed at the show. We had taken ds to a wiggles show when he was 2 and he was so into Wiggles at the time.
He was so out of sorts the entier show and didn't seem he liked it all. I think it was too many people and too loud and the lights, were just a bit too much stimuli.
Smar girl Princess J...She knows what she wants and how to get it:goodvibes
I think you are right - too much stimuli. Yes, Princess J is VERY SMART!
Is it me or are the Doodlebops creepy looking?
Not just you - they are very creepy looking.
We sooooo wish we could see video of the pep rally!
I wish I would have gotten that on film. Next trip I will.
I'm so glad that wasn't me blocking you guys! I'd never think to do something like that! How rude! I know that when we took Gracelin to see the Wiggles at 2yo she had "Baby Girl Syndrome". Sat & stared most of the show. Thought she hated every second of it. She said she liked it. I think it's a shock from seeing the characters on TV to seeing them in real person. By the time we got to the Doodlebobs at 3yo, she was in the baby mosh pit near the stage & Danica (2yo) was right up there with her! We see the Wiggles again tonight, hopefully they'll enjoy themselves. Great trip report! Mr Diz should apply for a job in WDW entertainment! Then we'd all get to see the Angry Troy dance on a regular basis! :) Nope - not you. Mr Diz had me do a search on "Angry Troy" on youtube to see if anyone put him out there. There is a video of a girl and she says this is her dancing to the Angry Troy song - but she did not do Mr Diz's moves. He was glad. We wondered if she saw Mr Diz's video on the disboards. I've never heard anyone else call that song the "Angry Troy" song.
Still the main member of the Mr Diz Fan Club - both for the take charge attitude and the dancing with HSM!
Kids are so weird. :lmao: I'm glad she said she liked the show, at least! :rotfl2
:(
I'm glad she said she liked it too. I was starting to feel bad that we went. But they are coming to town and now I don't have to spend the money to take her here.
And a big :thumbsup2 for putting RUDE lady in her place.
I'm usually the one who has to put people in there place. I was proud of Mr Diz.:rotfl2:
Hi! I have been reading along since the beginning of your TR. It's my first one and I am enjoying it! I just wanted to mention that I took my kids to see Hi5 (from the Discovery channel) this summer. They know every word to every song, they talked about it for weeks, we paid a fortune to get up close so they could dance with the group & they just sat and stared through the whole concert. Never once stood up or moved their lips! When we got home they told everyone they know how much they loved it and how fun it was! :confused3
:welcome: Thanks for reading along.
What, no video of Mr.Diz dancing with the pep ralley???
Why didn't I video that? I wish I had!
Miz Diz
11-08-2007, 09:04 AM
:rotfl2: That would be a funny video!!!
(and I bet he WAS excited about dancing with all those cheerleaders!)
Tell him that I tried to dance too and AE made me stop. So we'll all dance together if we meet up again! (I think they are coming out with a new one soon too)
Hmmm, maybe it was the chearleaders. I thought it was just the excitement of the music.;)
We should plan a trip at the same time. Will MR TE dance?
Way to go Mr Diz for telling that lady off.
:cheer2:
And why or why didn't you get Mr Diz on video at HSM? (insert stamping foot here)
I know, I know. Next trip I'll have to do better with the videos.

Mr Diz said we should have just gone to a local hotel and let the kids take turns opening the door and pushing the elevator buttons. :lmao: They argued over those two things the entire trip.

After swimming, we got dressed. Jason and Mr Diz both wore their Incredible shirts. We went to Epcot and walked around World Showcase before our ADRs for San Angel Inn. Ham had been begging to go to Japan the entire trip. Pokemon Master posted that you can get Pokemon cards there and I told Ham about it. Thanks for the info Pokemon Master! But I should never had told Ham because he was starting to drive me crazy about going to Japan. Ham had just enough money to by himself one pack of Pokemon cards, but Mr Diz is such a sucker and he bought him another one. I wanted to watch the lady make candy, but no one else wanted to.
I walked out to wait for the candy lady and no one was there. It was only about 5 minutes before she was supposed to start. Mandy and Princess J joined me. Right when the lady came out, Ham Boy joined me. The lady – sorry, can’t remember her name, said that she would only give 1 per family. Mandy and I tried to separate ourselves so that she would know we were actually 2 separate families. Ham got a Polar Bear and PJ got a Horse.
Here are some photos in World Showcase

Dinner at San Angel Inn was so much fun. We may have been annoying some other diners. The food was just okay, but the company was good. We were seated right next to the water, where you can see the volcano or mountain or whatever that thing is. The inside of San Angel Inn is very cool, but it is very dark and I could not get any of my pictures to come out.
We let Princess J and Ham sit next to the rail. That may have been a mistake. Or maybe it just made it a little more interesting. We had only been sitting for about a minute when Princess J says, “Uh Oh, I just did something really bad.” She dropped her fork over the rail, into the water. We told her it was okay and that there were probably lots of forks in there. Then a boat came by and Jason yelled to the people, “Excuse me. I dropped my fork. Can you get it for me?” They were laughing, we were laughing, the table behind us was not laughing.
The rest of the night, we’re all talking to the people in the boats as they go by. We would take turns yelling “hello,” “have a nice ride,” “it’s a bumpy ride,” “can you get our fork,” “do you see our drink down there?” Yep, Princess J dropped her drink, too. Well, she said she dropped it and thought it went over the rail, but it luckily landed at her feet.
I ordered a margarita and when it came out, I took a sip and said, “I don’t think they put enough alcohol in this drink and for $9, they should.” I did enjoy my drink. I can’t remember what everyone else drank. I think the guys had beer.
Mandy and I took the kids to the bathroom and when I stood up, I was feeling it. I guess they put alcohol in that drink after all. I only had one and I was stumbling to the bathroom. Then Jason and I took the kids on the boat ride.
We were seated in the first row of the boat and as we approach where Mr Diz and Mandy are sitting, Mr Diz lifted is shirt up and slapped his belly. (Yuck! I know, but at least you aren’t married to him.) Someone in the boat said, “Hey, that guy just flashed us.” Then someone else said, “The funny thing about it is that he’s wearing an Incredibles shirt.” I couldn’t decide if I should let these people keep talking about my husband or claim him. I was afraid to hear what else they would say, but then again, I wanted to know. Just as I considered saying, “Hey, that’s my baby daddy your talking about” Jason says, “Don’t be talking about my sidekick.”
We left San Angel Inn and headed straight for our Illuminations Cruise. More photos to come.

We went to the docks at the Beach & Yacht Club for out Illuminations cruise. I think there are 6 boats that go out. Here is a photo of the kids while we waited for our boat.
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w120/msmith3405/Dis%20Sept07/gjspeedboat.jpg
We had a pontoon boat that will seat 10. Our Captain was a girl in her 20s. She told us she interned with Disney while in college and now does this part time. I can’t remember what her full time job is. She took us over by MGM first, then we rode by the boardwalk. As we rode by the boardwalk, she pointed out the piano bar. We all laughed and told her about the guys and piano bars. Here’s the story.
We went to a piano bar one night and it was a large group including Mandy & Jason, Mr Diz and me, two of my sisters and their husbands, 2 nephews, and probably some more. This was several years back – when the Iraqi deck of cards were out and the search for Suddam Hussein was on.
All of a sudden, Mandy and I see our husbands on stage with about 20 other guys. We have no idea why they are up there. Then the group starts singing, “Proud to be an American” and we notice everyone on stage has crew cuts. When the song was over, Jason fell off the stage. We laughed so hard.
Mr Diz told me that Jason grabbed his arm and said, “Hey, their calling us up on stage.” So he went up there with Jason, not knowing why. He really thought they had been singled out and called up on stage. Amazing what a few drinks will do to a fella. Then he said he realized they must have called military people up on stage and decided to just go with it. He went to the bathroom and someone asked him when he was shipping out. He said, “I’m going to find the Ace of Spades.” :lmao:
I don’t think Jason and Mr Diz remember very much more than that. I just know that Mandy and I were the ones driving. We saw them the next day and Jason might have been in the dog house a little bit.
Our Captain parked us under the bridge to watch Illuminations. It was a really good show. We had a great view of the globe that is in the middle of the lagoon – a better view than I have ever had before. It was a nice way to end the trip. It was fun doing it once, but I wouldn’t do it again because of the expense.

We did not get hit by debris, but we definitely could smell the fireworks.

I woke up feeling terrible. I really did not want to get up. My head hurt and my throat was scratchy. It is Friday, September 7, and Mandy and Jason are leaving today. We still have one more day, but I wish we were leaving today because I fell terrible.
We were supposed to meet them at Ohana’s, I think at 8 am. I can’t remember, but I do remember we were 30 minutes late. We apologized for being late. Mandy never gets upset about anything. I promise, I have never seen her lose her temper or yell at anyone. Even when I said that I thought Jason was in the doghouse over the Piano Bar incident, I really never saw her get mad about that – she was laughing about it. I don’t think it is healthy to not show your anger and yell when you are mad. That is why I do it all the time. Just ask Mr Diz. :rotfl: Anyway, I think Mandy was a little upset that we were late. As soon as we walked in, she started screaming and yelling. She must have been letting out 20 + years of anger on us. I gave her a hug and said, “You must feel so much better after keeping all that stuff inside.”
I just lied again. Well not totally – just about the part of Mandy yelling and screaming and me hugging her. We really were late and I really did feel terrible. I do think Mandy was a little put off with our being late, but I think it was because we all felt terrible and she was worried about getting all of her stuff packed up before check out time. Mandy is reading all this, so this message is for her - sweetie, I am truly sorry we were late and I felt really bad about it. But darn it! I’m a drama queen and when I feel bad, I feel so much worse than anyone else in the world. And when I got out of bed that morning, I got out of bed just for you. :goodvibes:
Well let me tell you the funniest part of breakfast, that really wasn’t so funny. Jason was on crutches! Now that is the truth! No lie there. I guess we really wore him out. Poor Jason with the crutches, Mandy with the back pain and a touch of something, Me with my headache and scratchy throat. We were a pathetic bunch.
If you don’t know, Ohana’s is a character breakfast with Lilo & Stitch. Baby Girl was terrified of the characters. No surprise there. Here is what I like about Ohana’s breakfast: the characters, family style dining, the juice. It was a basic breakfast: bread, eggs, sausage, bacon, mickey waffles, fruit. It was good, but breakfast at Crystal Palace is better. The only problems there are the characters are not favorites of Ham Boy and Princess J and you have to go down the buffet line. What is the deal with Winnie the Pooh and friends? At about 6 or 7 years old, kids think they are “too old” for Pooh & Friends, then when you hit your late teens or early 20’s (or in my case shhhhh 30’s), they are cool again. Does anyone else notice that?
Here are some pics from Ohana’s.

Great trip report, Miz Diz! Looks like y'all had a great time.
Mr Diz is OCD – as in has to check everything in sets of 5, as in, has to have everything planned in advanced, as in all the light switches in the house have to be a certain way.
Sounds like Mr Diz and I would get along very well. :thumbsup2

After breakfast, we hugged Mandy, Jason, and Princess J goodbye, then headed into the Magic Kingdom. We asked the kids what they wanted to do and Baby Girl kept saying, “Ashfant.” “I go Ashfant.”
What?!!? What did she say, we all asked each other?
“Ashfant. I want go Ashfant.”
“Winnie the Pooh?”
“No, Ashfant!”
“Okay, let’s go on Winnie the Pooh now.”
“No, Ashfant!”
We got up to the entrance to Winnie the Pooh and Baby Girl starts pointing frantically, “Ashfant! Ashfant! Ashfant right there!”
“Ohhhhhh, you want to ride Dumbo?”
“Yes. Ashfant!”
So Ashfant translates to Elephant.
As soon as we got in the back of the line, a castmember came up to us, commented on all of our shirts – 3:00 parade and the Stitch shirts and told us to follow him. He took us to the front of the line and gave us a Magical Moments certificate that deemed us co-pilots on Dumbo.
As soon as the ride was over, Baby Girl wanted to ride the Ashfant again. So we queued up again and this time waited about 20 minutes.
This was a very good day. There were hardly any lines. I also scored 3 Cast Member pins. Not the Cast Lanyard series, ones from Company D. I was so excited. If I have time, I’ll take some pics later. I found them on pinpics, but didn’t want to steal their photos since they are copyrighted.
We left at about 2:45 and as we left Cast Members were yelling, “Hey, you aren’t staying for the 3 o’clock parade?”
We headed to Downtown Disney because we had reservations for Planet Hollywood. We have not eaten here in years because the food isn’t all that great. The only reason we decided to eat here is because our package gave us a coupon for $15 to eat here and Mandy gave us her $15 coupon. I don’t remember what we ordered, but we were surprised that it was actually good. Much better than we remembered it. Anyway, as soon as we were seated, the waiter commented on our shirts and said he noticed us when we walked in the door because of the shirts.
We left DTD and headed over to Epcot. I wanted to get a photo with the characters because other than our character dining, Mike & Sully, and Snow White, we didn’t have any others. We went to Innoventions where the Disney Visa line is and it was long. The CM stopped me - again because of my shirt to tell me he loved it. He told me the characters just went on a break and would be back I believe he said in 10 minutes. We decided not to wait.
We headed back to Beach Club.
Baby Girl had been holding a Donald Duck pin the entire day. She had not lost this pin one time. On the way back to Beach Club, she started crying about her Donald Duck pin. We noticed she didn’t have her pin or hat. Mr Diz and Ham went back to Innoventions to find it. They found her hat – she left it on one of the games, but did not find the pin. She probably put it down there when I was talking to the CM.
Baby Girl was so upset about losing this pin and I didn’t have anymore on me. Call me selfish, but I wasn’t about to give up one of my newly acquired CM pins. :rotfl: We walked out of Epcot at the World Showcase Exit and went into the gift shop there. Baby Girl was still upset about the pin. One of the CMs asked what was wrong and when I told him, he gave her the 2 pack Pixie Dust pins. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he insisted, even though she kept saying she didn’t want a Tinkerbell pin. He told her she could trade it for a Donald Duck pin and she did. She was so happy to have a new Donald Duck pin. We let her keep the Tinkerbell pin for a future trade. I thought that was really nice of the CM and felt bad that he gave her that when we had already gotten these, but he really wanted to make her happy. :goodvibes: Or maybe he just wanted to get her to be quiet. :rotfl:
By the way….. We went swimming and then back to our room for the night. This is the only night we were in our room before 9 pm and we had a fabulous view of Epcot and the fireworks. We could have sat in our room every night and watched them.

Saturday – Sept 8
I am so ready to get home because I feel worse today than yesterday. But wait! We never got to see Figment and Ham really wants a picture with him. The suckers we are, we tell him we will go see Figment. I mean, it’s not like we’re coming back in June or anything.
First stop – Figment. Well, we rode the ride first and the kids ran around the musical pictures.
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w120/msmith3405/Dis%20Sept07/kids.jpg
Then we went to take a picture with Figment. Believe it or not, this is actually the first time we have ever gotten a picture with Figment. Every time we come, he is never out. Maybe someone has been warning him that Mr Diz is around. ;)
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w120/msmith3405/Dis%20Sept07/Gfigment.jpg
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w120/msmith3405/Dis%20Sept07/familywithFigment.jpg
Does anyone notice the look on Baby Girl’s face? She is not scared. She was blowing Figment kisses! So I guess she likes the Evil Queen and Figment. After the picture, Mr Diz and I are ready to go, but how can I leave now when Baby Girl is finally not scared of a character. We have to go find more characters to see if she will take pictures with them. Mr Diz really doesn’t want to. But I insist. And I’m very persuasive. And I usually get my way. So off we go to Innoventions.
Oh no! There’s a 45 minute wait. Mr Diz says there is no way he is waiting 45 minutes. He wants to get on the road. But we waited. Baby Girl decided to pin trade. She traded her Donald pin for another pin. Then she decided she wanted her Donald pin back, so she went back to the Cast Member and retraded for her Donald pin. The CM told me she could not trade with Baby Girl anymore because she already traded twice. I know the rule, but I thought that was funny because it’s not like BG was hogging cast lanyard pins, it’s not even like she had a different pin than what she started with. But, I can see her point, because BG probably would keep going back trading and retrading. :rotfl2:
There was a lady behind us in line who was carrying a Pin Trading Bear from Build A Bear Workshop. It was so cute. He had a mickey hat and lanyard on. She said she works at Build A Bear. I’ve never seen it, but maybe they only have them at certain ones. I did not ask her where she lives. The characters were going crazy over this bear.
It was our turn for photos and Baby Girl was blowing kisses to the characters and talking to them. I was so excited. Goofy was her favorite.

Awww!! That's great that she started taking pictures with the characters. Now THAT is a Magical Moment, isn't it??:) DS started warming up to them more by the end of our trip but still wouldn't stand right next to them alone. He had a STRICT policy that we had to stand next to the characters and he stood next to us. :rotfl2:

I finally had him prepared to take a pic with Pooh in England. He was on my hip and Pooh walked over to stand by him, he literally jumped from one hip to the other. It cracked us all up.

I bought the Razor last year and gave it to DH. I didn't like the way it felt in my hand. I took his old phone. Now my phone will not hold a charge for very long. Driving me crazy. I'm not eligible for a new phone until January. Our service is through Verizon.

This is the phone I have http://www.amazon.com/LG-enV-Phone-Verizon-Wireless/dp/B000LNOFH0
You can open it up to a keypad to do any texting. I really like it and have had it for about a year. The only thing that bugs me is you have to keep the keypad locked so it won't dial out if it bumps something in your purse. So, everytime you pick it up to do something you have to unlock it and everytime you put it back you have to wait on it to lock. Really bugs me. Before this I had a flip phone. Open/Close....easy as pie!

Scott, my AT&T phone wasn't holding a charge back in Sept., so I went into the store, had the same problem - they wanted a lot of money for everything. I went online to AT&T's site and got a new Razor for free. They had a TON of better choices and deals. You might want to just take a peek. ;)

Remember how Jason was on crutches the last day at breakfast?
Well, he is permanently on crutches - for now anyway.
He has been getting physical therapy and changed doctors. The doctor ordered an MRI and found that he has a bone disease called Avascular Necrosis or Osteonecrosis. It causes the bone to die due to lack of blood supply. It is effecting his hip on both sides and he will have to have surgery to fix it. It is not an easy surgery.
He and Mandy are coming to visit us in a few weeks. I asked her if he is going to be up to coming and she said he would rather be miserable with us than miserable at home. :rotfl:
I'm getting up at the crack of dawn to go buy the HSM2 DVD. I want to make sure I get one before they sell out. We will be practicing our dance moves. Jason will just have to watch while Mandy and Princess J join us dancing.:rotfl2:
Jason would also like you all to know that he is not a moron. In his defense, his eye sight is not that bad and that is why he didn't notice his glasses missing right away.:lmao:

Okay - here is what is so funny........
By the way, that is Jason saying the funniest thing just happened.
We all wore matching shirts on 2 days. On this last night, Jason and Mr Diz decided to wear the matching Incredibles shirts all by themselves. This is the same night we ate in Mexico and did the Illuminations Cruise.
Well, when we all wore matching shirts, if Jason and Mr Diz were by themselves, people thought they were "together." They never corrected anyone.
When Jason went to check in at ASMu, Mr Diz was with him. Mandy was sleeping in my room with the kids and me. The CM thought they were "together" and kept talking to them about "their" room. They thought it was funny and never corrected her.
On this particular night, they went down to the gift shop together so that they could get their 2 "Lap dance" photos. On the way there, a family commented on their shirts and Mr Diz made it a point to say, "Our wives made us wear these." :rotfl2: He didn't want them to think he and Jason were an item. :rotfl:
We have no idea why this all of a sudden mattered. Maybe because they were going to get the lap dance picture.

Mandy and Jason are considering going with us again next Sept, but we are only going 4 days because DS will be in 2nd grade and I don't want him to miss more than 2 days of school. Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks! I'll see if I can find time to do a PTR. I don't know, though. Mandy and Jason are considering going with us again next Sept, but we are only going 4 days because DS will be in 2nd grade and I don't want him to miss more than 2 days of school. I couldn't believe the work he got sent home for missing 4 days of school - and the teacher had him read a chapter book and do a book report while on vacation. I thought that was a lot for being in the first grade.
If not a Pre Trip, then at least a Trip Report....We love hearing about Mr. Diz antics and all of your other funny stories too:rotfl:
Yikes...that is a lot of work for a 1st grader:scared1:

Add another to the Mr Diz fan club. My DS5 heard the "Angry Troy Song" today and said, "Remember the funny man dancing to this song?" We had to watch it about 5 times.

Wow! That does seem like a lot of homework for the 1st grade. Scary!:scared1:

I won't make you wait - I’m not that cruel. I don’t have to point them out to you. I love the lady in the back with her hands up compared to Mr Diz.

Let’s get a closer look.
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w120/msmith3405/Dis%20Sept07/ExpeditionEverest.jpg
We bought the picture and asked for it to be delivered to our room. On hindsight, Mr Diz said this was probably a mistake. But then he kept saying over and over again how he really wasn’t posing. And I kept telling him that if I were him, I would be telling people I was posing.
I now have a picture I can look at and get a good laugh, even if I'm in the worst of moods. :lmao:
I hope you thought the wait was worth it. If this made you laugh, please post - Mr Diz wants to know how many fans he has. If it didn't make you laugh, what is wrong with YOU? When Mr Diz picked the picture up later, even the lady in the gift shop laughed.
I am going to ask Mr Diz to post his version of the ride with Jason since I was not there, but if he doesn’t I will post it later.
Day 3:AK - Mr Diz says: THE LAP DANCE (page 21) (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=21111393&postcount=306)
YES, I am 4 months late, and YES, this has made my day!!!!!! :lmao:
