I walked into Cardiff town centre today, to pick up something for lunch and walked past a huge cloth banner outside a small exhibition they are running in the centre and had the most wonderful surprise, the exhibition is all about local sport and sport stars through the ages, from Cardiff, and right there in the middle of Cardiff was this huge poster which has my dear grandmother on. This is my mum's mum who lived with us until she died, when I was about 13. She is the one in the middle with the Basball bat in front of her.
I was so taken aback as I have that original photo, which was given to my mum by her mum many many years ago,and she in turn gave it to me, so I took a couple of photos on my phone and then phoned my mum to tell her she must come and see it. I popped inside to have a chat with the curator and it was wonderful to see all the old photos. My dear nanna would have been so pleased to see herself in the middle of Cradiff Town Centre:hug: and it brought back some wonderful thoughts of my nanna.
Here are the photos I took, excuse the quality as they were from my phone.

Thanks all:goodvibes
The photo was taken in 1918, and my nan played for the Cardiff Gasworks Ladies Baseball Team. She was just about 20 when this photo was taken, with no children. She went on to have 9 children, with my mum being born in 1938, and my mum is the only surviving child left after her younger brother died last year.

Hey all, thank you so much for all your comments:goodvibes
I meet my mum at Lunch time today to take her to see the photo and she was delighted and just a bit overwhelmed by it and a bit tearful,I think because it was so big and bold, brought back wonderful memories of her mum and mainly because it is 33 years to the day tomorrow since my nan passed away. However she agreed with me that Lou Lou (my nan), would have simply loved it:hug:
