Morning
I am thinking this would be the start of week 2 - RIGHT ?
I was up and thinking I would tm but changed my mind and did some weights instead - yikes - I am already feeling it - so as the old adage goes - if you feel it ~ must need it (well grammy version anyway) !
I am happy to report I am down 2 lbs. I was hungry last night and was SO GLAD that I restricted myself to nothing after 7pm - I would have blown it! Instead - I thought of Bob Greene's message - a little rumble in the tummy is good (or something like that)
Here's a :grouphug: to a good Tuesday and healthy choices - no letting that "scale number" control our lives - I hear ohMom say "it's just a number" and we are about so much more than a number!
GO BL BLUE :cheer2: :cheer2: onward with WEEK #2!!!

Good morning:surfweb: Well I am not off to a great start since I GAINED a pound from last week. I feel like I am retaining water, so I am trying to up my water intake. I have been faithful with the exercise, and even went back to the gym to lift weights. But alas, it is only a number. My clothes feel good so I am hoping that this is temporary. But tomorrow I leave for WDW, so who knows? We are doing free dining, but I gotta tell ya, not too much appeals to me but salads. I just can't eat those big, heavy meals like I used to. And with the heat, I will feel even worse!! So I guess I'll get my moneys worth if I don't eat that much!!
Hope everyone else does better on week 2 than I did. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.........

Good morning everyone!
So sorry I haven't posted in several days. I'll try to do better this week!
Well, I am down 2 pounds. This week I am hoping to add in more exercise. I only made it out for my early morning walk twice last week. Hoping for four times this week. I went out this morning, and of course 5 minutes into it, it started raining on me. I did 15 min. before I just finally had to trudge home-I was drenched!
I'll check in later to see how everyone is doing. Have a super Tuesday!

I set my alarm early so I could come and start a thread, but Low and behold my EARLY RISING EXERCISING FRIEND already took care of that! thanks!!!! I was actually up until midnight last night, and I thought I might start a thread, and then thought, no, I'll get up early and start it.... but looks like we have a super early riser!:goodvibes
Great job on the weigh in!:woohoo: I love the tidbits of info you give us, I'll have to remember the rumbly in my tumbly is a good thing!

Hey, please don't worry about the number so much, what is important is that you are staying on track and going for the distance. So when the water retention leaves and all those miles racked up at WDW burn some calories, you'll come back a super big loser! Have fun at WDW!!!!! Have a safe journey and say hi to the Mouse for us!

Well I'm very excited because I'm down 2.2 pounds...woo hoo! Yes I'm sure it's water retention but who cares because that's 2.2 pounds that was there and now it's gone! :cheer2:
luckywife...on the other side, your .2 pounds is probably just water retention and next week you'll see a big drop! :wizard:
When my stomach is rumbling and it shouldn't be I remember when Bob Greene was on Oprah and Oprah said that when her stomach rumbles she loves it because she says, "that means it's working and the weight is coming off!" :thumbsup2
Vija - wtg on taking control back and not letting the *nasties*have control over you. Now you've got me because I have to make a list of positive things about myself...:scared1:

I'm late to the team and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Christie I am 42 and have been married 12 years and have no children. I am excited about the BL challenge and think it's going to give me the motivation I desperately need to get started losing weight again.
Good luck to everyone and I can't wait to get to know you.

Well, we went away for the weekend and I did not follow my exercise and eating plans as strictly as I should have but I am happy that I lost 1 lb.
You know, what I DID do faithfully was drink 80-100oz. of water each day. I had never done this consistently before and by the end of the week I was noticing a huge difference in my skin--my face looks and feels so much healthier now!
This week I will continue with the water and will work on sticking to my exercise and eating plans and hopefully I will start seeing a difference in my waistline.
I am really enjoying reading everyone's successes/challenges/tips etc. This is great!

i'm so glad i popped in :teeth: i just connected my Garmin after my walk, which i must say went sooo much better than last week. the cooler temps help tremendously!! i'm almost anxious/excited to see what it figures my pace to be...
anyhow -- i'll come back and do a list later, i have a couple chores staring at me
one thing i have noticed is that i've always taken for granted that i'm drinking enough water b/c i used to be sooooo good. this week i felt dehydrated alot. i'm game for a water challenge......but i'll go with the majority too. whatever our fearless leader thinks is a good motivator!
and, hey, i made up a mantra? cool

Great weight loss everyone...WAY TO GO!!!
I'm down 4.6 for the week or as I like to say- almost 5 lbs!! This was my 2nd week of South Beach. I lost 8 lbs total for Phase 1! I learned something about myself by accident this week.... I do MUCH better if I eat a large lunch and then a very small dinner. We had a big family meal on Sunday at about 2:00 and by dinner, I was slightly hungry so I had a cottage cheese and some cheese sticks. I had a great result the next morning so that is what I am trying and it is working great for me!
Here's what's great about me....
I am a great Mom
I am a great wife
I am a great daughter
I am a great friend
I am great at being a class mom
I am a great swimmer
I am great at finding bargains
I am a great Disney planner
That's enough about all my greatness!! It's hard to say nice things about yourself...much easier to focus on the negative so that was a great exercise!!
Good luck to all you LOSERS!! :cheer2:

and Seaspray...you are looking absolutely mahvalous in your new clippe!! :woohoo:
hey, still staring at my chores but i remembered that someone (forgive me) mentioned last week about number of calories burned in a workout in regards to an elliptical machine. if i remember correctly, the output was 900 cal for an hour?? correct me if i'm wrong, and i hate to burst your bubble but that seems way high. now it depends on your age, weight, intensity, etc -- but i find workouts to burn about 250-300 calories an hour. my Garmin data for a 1 hour - 4 mile powerwalk was 312 calories. i know it's disappointing, but if you do WW, i would earn 3 pts for that workout and 1 pt is roughly 75 calories. so that would earn me about 225 extra calories to eat today. i try not to eat my APs and this is why

I am DOWN 5.4 lbs. What?? I would like to thank the Academy and my family....oh no. :sulley: But I am proud. I usually say negative things to myself like - well if you didn't have almost 100 pounds to lose -you wouldn't have lost this much. But I vow to be POSITIVE today and feel like I contributed to our blue team!
It's so motivating to me to see all of you that have lost so much through these other challenges. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
I am a good wife

Hi Guys-- I'm Christy and I'm on the Blue Team! I haven't posted anything other than when I signed up. I am down 3 pounds this week. YIPPEE!
I have been watching what I eat and just tyring to choose healthy stuff. I go to the gym 3 times a week. Both of these ideas are relatively new to me!! :lmao:
I have been doing this for around 1 1/2 or 2 months now and I am seeing changes that I LOVE! The scales didn't move for several weeks though. I'm thankful to see the numbers change today!!
Good luck to you guys!

I've done the same on the water for the past week. In fact, I've had no sodas, only water, in the past 6 days. I can also tell my skin looks healthier. Great feeling, isn't it?

Way to go BLUE
I lost 4 pounds this week but I'm not quite sure how. I did cut back a bit on the food. My main accomplishment this week was cutting out the Coke and diet Coke. I usually sit at a desk most of the day, but this week I've been helping out in a different department and was on my feet. I guess I burned a few calories that way. I'm headed down for free dinining in a few days so my next weigh in will be on Sept. 25th. Keep up the good work everyone!

Ok, here I go. lol
I'm a very loving and supportive mom
I'm a very loving and supportive wife
I'm very loyal to my friends and family
I'm a very friendly and hard-working employee
I'm an optimist and try to always think the best about people (until or unless they prove me wrong ;) LOL)
I'm sentimental and relatively old-fashioned (which I think are 2 good qualities. lol)
I have a hidden talent; I can write cursive in mirror-image without even thinking about it :cool2:
I'm happy and proud of myself for following a very healthy diet for the last 3 1/2 months, AND for changing the eating habits of my family
I like that I have a good sense of humor :lmao: <---- See? LOL
Ok that's it for now. lol I don't want to get a swelled head. :snooty:
Dinner is in the oven; I made a meatloaf using ground sirloin (93% lean),and I'll make a garden salad, green beans, and serve some of the leftover whole grain brown rice from last night's dinner.
My RA is still flaring up pretty badly so I have the heating pad on my back right now, and I'm using the laptop. TIVO is set for the Biggest Loser! I'm a little excited about this because this will be the first time ever that I've started watching that show from the very beginning. :3dglasses :happytv:
P.S. Has anyone decided what our team challenge will be this week? Nothing too difficult. :scared: LOL The water challenge sounds good.... start out with something easy. :woohoo:

Checking in, but don't get to contribute to the team's official loss this week :guilty: I was doing great until Saturday and had lost 2lbs then TOM hit with a vengance. So my net result on the scale today was 0. But hopefully it will be better next week. I have had a bit of PMS binging so that might affect it a little :rolleyes1
I am working on water this week personally.

Hey Blue Team!!! :jumping3: LOVE the new mascot!!!
I am sitting in plateau land, I am afraid. Zero loss/gain this week. But I am keeping on keeping on and the losses will come. I did my very first 30 minute iFit workout on my elliptical tonight and I am fiercely proud of that. I had goaled myself to be doing it by 9/30/0 and today is 9/11 and I've done it!!
I'm sitting here with TBL paused on the DVR so I can skip the commercials. Wishing Bob was here to encourage me with my maintain...
Hoping you all are having a lovely evening full of health and much enjoyment with OUR show!
Go BLUE!!!!

Here's my list:

I am proud of how far I've come and can't wait to see where I finish up.

Okay, one more post and then I am going to bed:surfweb:
Here is my list:
I am a good mother
I am a good wife
I am a good friend
I am a good listener
I am a good hygienist (hey its what I do, and who doesn't like a nice, gentle hygienist when they go to the dentist??)
I make people laugh
I love myself
Now on to something more critical for me at the moment- I am taking my step counter with me to WDW. For those who are more up on these things than I, how many steps should I aim for? How many would result in a decent calorie burn? Remember my legs are short, so I practically have to run to keep up with DH! :yay: I am hoping that it helps me to stay on track (sort of) and feel better about not running for 4 days!!
Oh did I mention I am doing my first 5k in 10 years (yes 10 years) next weekend? I am running with my FIL and MIL. I know I can do it, I do two 3 mile runs per week now, but I am not fast (again, those blasted short legs haunting me! ). Finishing without a) passing out or b)embarassing myself would be the goal. I hope that a few days of fun does not throw a wrench in the works!
I will be thinking of all my LOSER friends while I am away, and hope that I can make you proud at next weeks WI.
Have a magical day!!

Have a wonderful time at WDW and I know you'll do a great job in the marathon!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes- Vija - I am a early riser but bet I "hit the hay" before you too:rolleyes1
BL BLUE - fantastic job last week and for those of you who didn't see losses - it will happen - keep up the hard work!
I need to work on the H20 again too - I am trying to make that my personal challenge this week. And, my muscles are sooooooooooooooooooo feeling those weights I did yesterday morning - nice reminder that I need to continue with weight workouts too :yay:
I am off to tm and watch the BL from last night.
my list of things about me -
have a gift of compassion, caring for others
Caring daughter
Caring niece
Caring DIL
Good wife
Good Mom
Good Grammy
if I say I will do something (commitment to others) - I try my darnest to follow through and do it
good teacher (yep- I think I taught ohMom how to be that good bargain hunter )
believe in the power of prayer
good student - still really like learning new things
I'm off to get the tm "revved up" :thumbsup2
:wizard: :wizard: to all - and especially for those of you who said no scale checking till next Tues - remember it's just a number - it's the everyday choices that are making us healthier!
GREAT JOB TEAMMIES :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ok...two days in a row of my early morning walk. Now if I can make it through Friday and maybe try to get a longer walk in this weekend, I will hit my personal goal for the week.
So for my list, I have such a difficult time thinking about things about me that are good, that I actually had to go to DH for some ideas. Sad, isn't it:confused3
I am a great wife.
I am a wonderful mom to 3 little boys.
I am a great teacher/child care provider.
I am a good (getting better) cake decorator.
I give fantastic hugs.
I am a super listener and care about others feelings.
I am a great sister and SIL.
I am proud of the fact that I have had no sodas in a week.
That will have to do for now. I'll try to think of other things...It actually feels good starting off the day like this.

Good morning everyone :sunny:
I love reading all of the good things we each have to say about ourselves!! I can tell that we're a great group! :grouphug:
Today is Wednesday, the work week is half over. :surfweb: And so far, no huge project from the CEO! :yay: I hope the project doesn't hit my department until next week when my co-worker returns. This week I'm doing her work and my work, so a project on top of that would be rough. I'd get it done, but it'd be rough.
Today I hope to drink more water than I usually do. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_4_5v.gif
Have we decided what our team challenge will be this week? If it's to drink more water, then here's to all of us drinking more water!http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_49.gif

Luckywife - WOW! We're close...have you been to any Dis meets? I haven't, they always seem to be when we're gone somewhere.
Debbie - don't you love it when you lose and you don't know how? That is so motivational!:cheer2:
I'm seconding the vote for a water challenge...what should it be? 64 ounces/day?

Good Morning, Blue Team!
I lost 4.5 lbs this week! Like Seaspray, I am too now a member of the 25 lb clippy club! :cool1: Great job Sistah!
Congrats to all of us for our losses this week! And for those of you who did not lose stick with it you'll be down next week!
Saturday I am headed to Aruba for a week so I will probably miss next week's weigh in. If the gym at the resort has a scale I will try to weigh myself.
What's great about me?
I am a great daughter, sister, aunt and friend. I have a goofy scense of humor and I love to make people laugh. I am a great listener. And a wonderful baker (that could get me into trouble since I love sweets!) Even though I am overweight I love who I am! And I know that is one of the hardest things to do when you are overweight.
I am so proud of myself for losing 26 lbs! I never thought I could do it but I know I can and I know that we all can do this too!
Good luck this week! Keep up the good work!

Great job! I'm looking forward to when I can post that 25 lb clippie. That will mean I weigh what I was on our last WDW trip. Hope that happens before my next one!
It's so great that you say you love yourself and who you are. DH and I try so hard to instill that into our boys, yet I am always saying how I don't like myself or such and such about me. (I try not to do it in front of the kids.) Yesterday DS5 was saying "I love me." And kissing his picture we had glued onto his "all about me" poster for school. Then he said "Do you love yourself, mommy?" Of course, I had to tell him "yes, I do". And he says"good. That's important you know." Like such a little adult. It really made me think about how I must be doing something right as a mom. So now I'm going to try to think of that moment whenever I get down and depressed. Hopefully it will help lift my spirits and keep me on track in life.:cloud9:

Hello team!
Jennz-I've never been to a meet but would definitely be interested in going to one sometime. It's really cool to live so close to another Dis'er...and we're on the same BL team, too.
Well, I had a little accident yesterday afternoon. I slipped on the bathroom floor and tried to catch myself with my left hand and ended up breaking my ring finger and part of the top of my hand right under my middle two fingers. I have an appointment tomorrow with a orthopedic doctor. I still managed to get in another 65 minute bike ride today but kind of goofed up with eating. Nothing too major but when will I ever learn?? I'm seriously wondering if I ever will :(
Hard to type with just a few fingers but want to stay caught up with all of you. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their evening.

Lucky wife - YOU ARE AN ANIMAL!! If I stub my toe I am generally out for a week. You are great motivation!
I would like to announce my own crazy commitment to exercise. I own my own businesses and we were not sure if I was going to take August off or End of Sept/Beg Oct for our Wedding in Europe. Well we did it in August, but I made sure to arrange my employees to cover Sept. I have decided to keep them all in place and I have committed to traveling by my own body power - ie: swim, walk, bike, row etc... 500 miles by October 18. It's about 13.5+ a day. But if I don't have to work on weekends, I think it can be done.
Tell me I am crazy or I have watched too many Fat Marches???

Wow, I had some things I needed to take care of and didn't have the time to post last night and today and WOW, WOW, WOW you have been all so busy! Hard to catch up. I did read everyone's posts, but won't have time to reply back to all of them. (I have a job interview tomorrow so I really need to get to bed and get some beauty sleep--- but I am so excited that I don't know if I will get any sleep!:upsidedow ).
I love reading everyone's lists. They are awesome. We are all amazing people with very special qualities. It is sometimes hard to think positives about ourselves, but it is about time we do!!! We deserve to celebrate ourselves!party:
We had some EXCELLENT weight losses this week! Congrats to those that lost, hang in there for those that maintained or even went up a tiny bit. We are making some positive changes for ourselves and our bodies and families will thank us for sticking with it.
I am up for a water challenge. I know that we will be having challenges between the teams coming soon and we may have the water challenge again, I hope you guys are ok with that. But if anyone saw the BL last night (LOL of course we saw it!) they mentioned that lack of water slows metabolism, so lets get the home metabolism fires burning! Lets challenge ourselves to 8 servings of water a day... that is 64 oz. We can do it! :drinking:
We have 2 new members to welcome...:welcome: to MelanieC and Goldcupmom! The blue team Rocks!

Even with my limited time to exercise I lost 2.2 pounds for the week. And the best part...I am down a size. In fact it is the same size I wore when I graduated HS / before PG with DD1. The funny thing...I am 30 pounds heavier than I was then. BOY have sizes changed in the past 17 years. I actually have a pair of jeans from back then (acid wash, size ankle skinny jeans) and there is no way I can get them on yet. Of cours this is my ultimate goal. Not that I would actually wear them in public but...

I have some exciting news... well I think it is!;) I changed my WDW plans and we are flying in 1 day earlier!:woohoo: :yay:  party: :mickeyjum
I am sooo excited! It buys us a full day at Epcot instead of 1/2, and I just can't wait! (That is 1/2 a day extra of possibly winning a dream! ) It didn't cost all that much to change and I couldn't be happier! so, I really started to buckle down and get going on eating right! I exercised both days and ate better both days. Tonight I so wanted to go down and grab some chips, but I said NO, NO, NO!!! Proud of myself for that.
I have a friend who might join me for WW meetings, that also is motivational because I want to make sure I can report a weight loss each week... you know, friendly competion and all!;)
So that is it for me tonight... Please, please, Please send some Pixie dust my way for the job interview!:wizard:

As I have been reading through different post on the WISH, I have come acrossed some really great ideas (when it comes to losing weight) posted by other memebers. I also came across a poem, and when I went to go back to read it again I couldn't find where it was posted or who it was posted by( i wanted to give them the credit for it)! I searched for it on yahoo and did find it, so I am going to share it with you. And to the person who posted this before, thank you!
Only One Pound
Hello! Do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat.
And I am the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me.
I'm only one pound, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being only one pound of fat, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
(As if that were such a terrible thing)
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you-your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
After all, I'm only one pound of fat!!!

Hi! I am joining the challenge a week late and OhMom was nice enough to add me to the blue team - YAY! It looks like our team did great in week one.
A little about me: I have lost 20 pounds so far on jenny craig and am working towards 30 more to be at goal. I have 2 year old triplets and I bulked up during pregnancy and post-delivery. I have been working out 2-3 days a week but now that I am joining this team, I am going to add another day or two at night to get up to 4-5 times a week. I work full-time out of the home in a pretty demanding profession so making time for the gym on top of my family can be difficult but I am committed to doing this for myself.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hey everyone,
Since I joined a week late, here is my Introduction.
I'm 38 and live near Philadelphia. I've been married for 20 years and have two kids DD15 and DS9. I grew up in Vegas, but somehow ended up on the east coast????
I work full time. I do WW's, but for this challenge I'm going to try to rely soley on counting calories (unless it just doesn't work). I think calories, is what I want to end up doing for the rest of my life, versus "points". My favorite weight loss book is Bob Greene and Oprah Winfrey-Make the connection. Its his first book and it really explains things well. I just ordered Jillian Michael's two books. I read some good things about them, so I'll see. I love the Firm, but I haven't done them in a while. I have mostly been walking and lifting weights (although I haven't lifted in a long time). Lifting is my favorite exercise. I love how strong I feel afterwards. I have done two 1/2 marathons. One in the first ever WISH Walk and I did one in Ocean City/Assateaugue Island Maryland.
For this week -What I'm great at:
I'm a great Mother
I'm a great Wife
I'm a great friend
I'm great at losing weight when I get into my zone
I'm great at lifting weights and walking
I'm great at working on/with computers
I'm great at planning vacations
I'm great at eating healthy and eating mostly all natural or organic foods
I'm great at reading food labels
I'm great at researching and reading about healthy eating and exercising
I'm sure I'm good at more, but I'm too tired to think, lol!

Oh yeah - I've had 4 cups of water. I have to work on that. I can't drink any more tonight because I need to get sleep tonight. I haven't been feeling well and I feel very run down. Its probably my new boss. She is so demanding and needy. I haven't been leaving work till almost 6pm the past few days. I even have to go help her pack tomorrow.
I'll try harder earlier to drink more water. My food intake was awesome today - YEAH!! That is what I needed was a good food day to get me started and on track. I even opted for frozen blueberries for snack tonight instead of something with sugar.
My boss is taking me to lunch tomorrow, so I'm a little nervous about where we are going and what my options will be. Wish me luck that it's someplace I can eat at.

Good morning everyone :surfweb:
I've probably mentioned this before, but I'm alone at work in my department this week and I've been extremely busy, so last night I went to bed at around 8:30pm. LOL I got a great night's sleep though. :cloud9: And TGIF!! :sunny:
CONGRATS on the new jobs!!! :cheer2: Next week I'll be training for a new position where I work, to cover for a woman who'll be out on maternity leave in a couple of months. The new position comes with a nice pay increase, so that's a bonus! :thumbsup2
:welcome: to the new Blue Team members!!! :grouphug:
I'm doing very well with my eating this week. I've lost a couple of pounds so far, so YAY for that. My DH is doing great too, I just changed his 25 pound clippie to the 30 pound clippie. He doesn't post here on the WISH board, he's mostly over on the Photography board (his user name is CapeCAD). I really want that 30 pound clippie...all gold and shiny!!! :cool2: A goal I had set for myself was to get to 30 pounds before our cruise in 6 weeks. I only have another 2 1/2 pounds to go, so I feel confident that I'll be able to do that. In fact, now that I'm this close to 30 I'm wondering if I should strive for 35 pounds?! I'd have to lose 7 1/2 pounds in 6 weeks. Think I can do it?? :scratchin :confused3
I love reading everyone's posts. We're all doing very well, so let's keep up the great work!!!! :cheer2: :yay:  :woohoo:

CONGRATS to Vija and Desiree!! remember to come to US when the newness/stressfulness is wearing your down. and also to Seaspray on the promotion!
seaspray -- i just wonder if you could sport the 35 lb clippie in 6 weeks?? :teeth:
i'm heading into the weekend feeling strong, had 3 great days of eating and i'm determined to stay the course this weekend.
my first challenge is luch today too -- Melanie i'll be thinking of you and reporting in good choices! i'm going into a church retreat (Emmaus if anyone is familiar) to serve lunch and the lunches are NOT usually healthy as a priority. it will be soup and sandwiches -- big huge wraps with cheese and mayo. hopefully they'll have a broth based soup. i gotta eat something afer we are done b/c then it's straight to the grocery
i ended up not exercising today my hamstrings are so incredibly tight after my LW yesterday - but i got 'er done!
melanie -- what is your next 1/2? maybe we can find one mid-way sometime and walk it together? There are 2 here in April/May if you want to come stay and do one with me next year?
:welcome: new BLUE teamies!
debbie -- GREAT JOB on the 2 mile walk!! 200 calories done and burned!

TGIF team!
I got in 45 minutes of cardio today and am feeling good. I also have a lunch challenge today - I am taking a summer associate candidate out to eat and I know it will be tough. I am going to focus on portion sizes b/c there isn't really anything "healthy" where we are eating. I just guzzled down some water to fill me up.
OhMom - good luck with lunch today!

Hey blue team!:jumping3:
So, I know I shouldn't have done it... I really shouldn't have... but I did! I stepped on the scale today and I am down 6# since we started this! (that's 5# already for week 2 weigh in!) Oh yeah, oh yeah, I did it, I did it!!!:woohoo: So I am now sporting a new clippie! I haven't been able to have a "loss" clippie in so long. I have had the "member"on there for way too long! I am so excited, and the best part? I am so motivated to not loose that clippie and keep going the other way that I made some excellent choices today. I worked out on the elliptical for 23 minutes, and then went for an HOUR walk! It felt tremendous! AND to top it off, I was in the middle of bargaining with myself over McDonalds and I said NO, NO, NO!!!:yay: I am so glad I am sticking to it, so glad that I didn't let those horrible, mean and nasty people ruin it for me. YOU and DH saved me, Sunday night was the lowest of the low, and I will forever thank you my friends!!! :thanks:
So many of you wrote fantastic PM's to me in support and encouragement and I just haven't had time to write back yet, the weekend is coming and I don't know that I will get to them. Please know that all those words of support meant the world to me!:grouphug:
Sounds like our team is really doing good this week!
GO BLUE TEAM!

Excuse me. . . . I just need to get my sunglasses. That brand new 5 pound clippie is shining in my eyes, and I am dancin' in the glow. :cool1:
Now, confession time. My t.v. guide had BL down as an hour show, so I watched the first half and totally missed the second. Can you say DUH! :rotfl:
Molli good work on getting that long walk in. The first time I walked this week, I was huffin', puffin' and saying some not so nice words at the half mile mark, the 2 mile was a little better, but I gotta wonder. . . did I really do 13.1? In 3 hours, 40 minutes? Good grief!

good saturday morning!!
i had to get up and finish my early morning exercising commitment today b/c i flaked yesterday :teeth: so i got 45 mins of WATP done and i'm ready to hit the shower. i wanted to check in quickly -- my neighbor is coming over and we are going to SCRAP the day away................
thinking of everyone -- hang onto the mojo this weekend!!
i'm making a new soup, if it's good i'll post the recipe
Vija -- congrats on the new clippie!!!!
debbie -- ::yes:: you are a STRONG WOMAN!! you did it and you get fit and strong once more b/c you are WORTH IT!!
flipflop -- great job on the workout! i did ok on the lunch, i was really hungry which is alway a problem. i had a wrap but none of the heavy potato/bacon chowder. i filled 1/2 my plate with veggies and bare minimal of dip. no dessert. i'm sure the wrap was high in fat though. so i compensated with 0 pt soup for dinner. i really wasn't hungry, of course i was hungry again when the girls got home and had a healthy snack then....i actually prefer bigger lunches and skimpier dinners. i feel better that way
gotta go -- PD TO ALL!! WE CAN DO IT WE ARE BLUE AND WE ROCK!!

well I am so glad it's Sat but shoot the day just isn't going like I thought it would............. woke up with my ear hurting my nose dripping, etc - ugh! Washed a couple of throw rugs and the drain must be blocked -water everywhere - of course DH out of town BUT I took care of it :thumbsup2
I wanted to do "stuff" that I "wanted to get done" and waaaaahla - the sun is shining in (now I like that part) but it is making everything look sooooooooooooooooo dirty - now where is the cleaning fairy when I need her  So, I have spent time doing the neglected stuff that I need to do.
OKAY WHINE OVER .............
I have my water poured into a pitcher on the counter and I will drink it all today - have not been good about that..... AND I will continue to plug away at the things that need done BUT still focusing on that I can get my other stuff started too............ guess "one step" at a time doesn't just relate to eating healthier :dance3:
:wizard: :wizard: Keep up the healthy choices - the weekend DOES count ;)

Hey BLUE TEAM - We ROCK!!
So yesterday was the day I moved my boss (my needy boss). It was pretty much ME moving her, while she spent time with the help desk getting her new Blackberry working, and taking a few meetings, and taking calls on the phone etc. There were also the times when she was doing those things that I couldn't do much but STAND around because if I did a box on my own, of course she had to have it packed a certain way (and I didn't do it right) or she needed to go through that stuff. I put together around 80 boxes and lids and lifted all those boxes all around. I worked my butt off yesterday. My feet were sore by the time I went home. She did take me out to lunch and we went to an Indian restaurant. A buffet of course. I think I did pretty well. My first plate was very sparsley filled and the middle of the plate was empty. My second plate only had a little rice and the sauce from a dish. I did have a Mango Lasse as well, but I was starving from all the working I was doing. I had two ginger pulls(40calories) as a pick me up snack in the afternoon.
I think all in all I did well even thought I had no idea how many calories I really ate.
When I got home I had to work at the snack stand at the High School Football game. I worked my butt off there too. That was almost 4 hours of complete madness and running around that building making things, getting change etc. I was extremely sore and exhausted after such a full day.
We stopped and picked up Sushi on the way home because none of us had eaten. I literally got home, took my car in to the shop, DH picked me up and we went home and picked up the kids and went to the game. It was almost 11pm by the time we got home. Too late too eat, but nothing we can do about it. I did have 14 grams of macademia nuts prior to going so it would hold me over till I had dinner. It did the trick, but I was starving. The Sushi tasted so good at that point.
I got on the scale this morning. Despite my lunch and sodium in the soy sauce with my Sushi, I'm definately down since I started BL. I guess a few days of being on track really makes a huge difference. Having a couple of IN-CONTROL days really makes me feel IN - CONTROL. It does a lot for your motivation and self asteem. A reminder that I can do this and it feels really good to feel like that.
I've been really run down this week, and I've been mindful of the Iron I've been eating the past few days. My iron was really low when I went to give blood and couldn't last week. While looking at what to eat for breakfast, I noticed that the Malt-O-Meal Hot wheat cereal I have has 60% iron. Its fortified, but heck it's still a good amount of iron. So I made a serving of that. Threw in a 1/4 cup of soy milk and 1/2 cup of pureed canned punkin (280% vitamin A in that!!), and a little bit of cinnamin and nutmeg. For 209 calories it was filling and pretty healthy. I didn't put any sugar and it was pretty bland, but I usually can stomach bland things once in a while in the name of health. I probably could learn to like it once in a while. I tried pumpkin in oatmeal once and for some reason that gagged me. Maybe now that I eat oatmeal smoothies more often maybe I would like it. I may try mashing a bannana or pulverizing it in the blender or magic bullet to put in there too. That would sweeten it up and make it yummy without refined sugar.
I'm not sure if I'm going to exercise or not today. I still feel VERY sore from yesterday and still run down. I'm going to try an allergy pill. I'm slightly congetsted. Either I picked up a mild cold or fall allergies are bothering me. Maybe that is what's making me feel run down, or its just the icing on the cake that's pushing me to feel so bad. The good thing is, my eating is under control.
Vija- Congrats on the new job! Woo hoo!! Congrats on the clippie too!! You ROCK!
Bev- I know you'll make good choices with DH being gone.
Molli- Great job on getting up and working out. Have fun scrapping. That would be fun to do a 1/2 together. We'll have to look into that. I would love to have one to train for again. I know I could easily do it again because many Saturday mornings I crank out an easy 5 miler.
Debbie- Hang in there with the walking. It's hard at the beginning when you get back into it, but I found that the more I did it, I was getting back to what I used to do when I trained for the races.
Flipflop- Congrats on the cardio, I hope your lunch went well!!
SeaSpray- I say go for the 35!! You can do it- Blue Team Rocks!!
Have a great happy and healthy Saturday everyone. Weekends are the best!

I posted a few pages back about the accident I had slipping on the bathroom floor and hurting my hand and finger. I went to the orthopedic doctor on Thursday and found out that I broke my ring finger in 2 places and also a bone in the top of my hand. It's actually not feeling too bad and I'm getting used to only being able to use a few fingers on my left hand for now.
Our team is doing GREAT!! Vija that new clippie looks fantastic on you. Congratulations :)
Is our new challenge a water challenge? Are we supposed to report how much we drink each day? I really hope I can contribute to the weekly loss this week. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday :)

Hi everyone :wave2:
We just got back from going out for brunch. I had a multi-grain waffle with a tiny bit of sugar-free syrup, and 2 scrambled eggs. I had tea with SweetNLow. All in all, not too bad considering that was my breakfast and lunch.
I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 2.5 pounds this week so far, for a total of 4.5 since we started BL  My total loss so far since I started South Beach on June 1st is 28 pounds. :woohoo:
I think I WILL set the goal of 35 pounds by the time I cruise in 6 weeks. That's only 7 pounds... I hope I can do it... I think I can...and thanks so much for all of the confidence and support from the Blue Team! :cheer2:
luckywife: *ouch* I'm glad that you're doing ok with your broken fingers and hand. Did the doctor say how long those bones generally take to heal?? Do you have your hand wrapped up or in a cast or anything??
Melanie: Wow, I'm tired just reading about your day! LOL You got a LOT done in a single day!! lol And it sounds like you got a lot of good exercise, in the process. Yay for you! :yay:
Grammy: I, too, having cleaning to do this weekend. My DS19 decided to make more room in his bedroom so he packed up his drum set. So now that has spurred me on to clean out the laundry room so he can move the drums to the back of that room. So THAT means that my DS16 will help me today go through clothes that I have stored in there, and we'll bag up clothes for donation. Big Brothers-Big Sisters is scheduled to come to my house on Tuesday morning and pick up the bags of clothes that I'll be donating. I love that they come right to my house and pick them up :) I also need/want to start packing up all of the summer clothes, but I can't pack everything because of our Caribbean cruise in 6 weeks. Anyway, you've inspired me to get moving, and get some things done around the house today. :cheer2:
ohMom: What kind of soup are you making?? Let us know how you like it :)
Debbie: I wonder if you can go on the network's web site and watch the second half of BL on there??
Princess Vija: Congrats on the 6 pounds!! WOO HOO! You can do this, and I'm proud of you for getting past what happened with those idiots last week!!! :cheer2:
flip flop: How did you do on your lunch challenge? What foods did you choose?? Inquiring minds want to know! :cool2: LOL
Everyone on the Blue Team: Have a great weekend!! :sunny:

Hey guys,
DH and I were making a weekly menu of food and our weeks are going to be tough this year with our kids schedules. I need some really healthy crock pot ideas. Keep in mind I try not to use anything processed when I cook and try to keep it to whole foods in my recipes using very little packaged foods. So I don't use canned soups (like cream of chicken), boulion cubes, jarred dressings etc.
Here are ones that we have that I would be willing to share. Chili, stuffed peppers, Morrocan Chick Pea soup, pork & sauerkraut, I have one that is lowfat with Kilbalsi and beans- but I'm trying to figure out a healthier meat (maybe I'll check at whole foods for a non-nitrate turkey sausage/kilbalsi), those are the ones I can think of.
Thanks in advance for any ideas. I guess I could also use any healthy recipes for anything that only takes a few minutes to whip together.

Hey everyone... 1/2 of my work week is done! I had a hard time going to work and not SMILING because I know I will be leaving that job!
Work was ok, I ate more than I should have, my coworker is having a birthday celebration all weekend long. I will have to make better choices tomorrow! I don't want to turn in that shiny clippie!
Debbie, That really stinks that you missed 1/2 of the BL. I have it on tape, do you want it?
OhMom, I love to scrapbook too! It is a fun past time. I have yet to do it for our daily photos, I have mostly done it for special occasions and gifts.
AlreadyexcitedGrammy, sounds like you have too many things going on, and you need some me time! I hope you feel better too!
MelanieC, as I read about your boss, the movie Working Girl came to mind with Melanie Griffith (sp?). Her boss was terrible, and your boss sounds about the same. YUCK! But, the good side of all that packing is that was some exercise for your body as well! I hope you start to feel better, it stinks when you are feeling run down. And especially knowing that you are down in weight since starting BL, it is hard to pull out of that not feeling good slump, hang in there!:wizard: I'll have to think of some healthy recipes... I use cream soups and I see you don't, so I'll look and see what I have!
luckywife, OUCH, that hurts! Hopefully your broken bones will heal soon. And yes, we are encouraging each other to drink 64 oz of water each day and report our progress. That has been a hard one for me, I like soda too much! *diet soda--caffeine free* I know it doesn't make it any better, but at least there aren't any calories...:rolleyes1
SeaSpray... YOU GO GIRL! YOu are on a roll! I can feel the excitment you have through your posts, that is awesome!!!!!:thumbsup2 You have done fantastic on South Beach, that is awesome, and before you know it you will be enjoying yourself on the beaches during the cruise, reaping the benefits of working so hard! You rock!:woohoo:

good sunday morning
how could i forget to send much PD for a speed healing of luckywife's hand!! yowsa!! i have never broken a bone, thankfully, but it always looks so darn painful! did you get that stomach-in-a-knot feeling right after it happened? i have heard that's the case sometimes...
vija -- i know you are at work but i'm sending you much PD to resist those goodies today. we are 2 days away from WI -- let's stay on track! i'm saying that to me as well
and i am sooooooo far behind in my scrapbooking, but i still love it so i'm just plugging away. i got quite a bit done yesterday and i hope to plant myself back down in my area again today and make some more progress
the soup I made was a recipe Mom gave me, a Paula Deen 'taco soup' and it was good. my neighbor liked it too, as well as my youngest DD. i'm going to plug it into a recipe website so i can get nutritionals than i'll share it. Melanie, i think it's worth a look for you, i'm not sure what all your limitations are? i try to use my crockpot alot, let me see what's worth sharing?
one easy one is to put pork chops, boneless ribs, or even chicken in the crock and season it with a Barbeque seasoning blend. cook on low all day and when you get home, add some BBQ sauce, lid cracked so it doesn't get too thin, and let that thicken on it while you get maybe a salad or some frozen veggies, or baked potato ready. If your DD gets home like an hour or so before you, have her put the BBQ sauce on for you.
another all favorite for our family is a ham, red poatotes and fresh green beans simmered in the crock all day
this is a favorite, i love it with TJ blue cornbread:
White Chili:
3 (4 oz) cans mild green chiles, chopped
6 (14.5 oz) College Inn fat-free low sodium chicken broth
7 boneless skinless chicken breast cooked and shredded
1 Randall’s Deluxe Beans – large jar
1 Randall’s Great Northern beans – large jar
1 Randall’s Great Northern beans – small jar
6 tsp ground cumin
3 tsp dried oregano
3 tsp cayenne pepper
Put all in large stockpot and simmer. Top with shredded Monterey jack or pepper jack cheese.
i have a word document with several chicken recipes, i haven't made most of them but PM me your email (anyone!) and i'll forward it too you

I weighed myself this morning and the loss is a big ZERO for the week so far. It is that time of the month, so I should not be upset - but I am still upset, so when I went to the Cardinals football game I ate almost a whole bag of pirate booty.
Do any of you have a "weigh" too much (meaning often ;) )?
I may give my scale to my husband to hide for the week and just weigh on Tuesdays. I am not strong enough on my own to stay away.

Hey, where is everybody?:confused3 Hopefully everyone is exercising and drinking their water!
OhMom, I like the crockpot recipe with the pork, but a quick question, along with the seasoning do you put any fluids in there? Or is the Barbeque seasoning blend have some fluid in it? I just can't imagine putting pork chops in a slow cooker by themselves.
Thanks for the PD, I did pretty good. I only had 1 mini cinnabon. I declined to eat another one 2x!!!!!! I was very proud of myself!!! AND I said no to a bag of chips from the vending machine... I had left the lounge and was actually standing in front of my locker to get $$ and I changed my mind and had the strawberries I brought instead. WOW, did that feel good to do that! AND on the way home I had McDonalds and stopped eating the fries when I felt full. I still had 1/4 of the fries left, but I put them back in the bag and said NO!!!!:woohoo: So those were a bunch of great decisions that I made, I would have had a zillion more points had I eaten all of that, and in the past I would have! I am so proud of myself!
hrpufnsash, I feel your pain. That scale is such a fair weather friend! I will make the commitment next week to only step on it on Tuesday, will you join me? And what is a bag of pirate booty?pirate: (I don't get out much!:rotfl: )

Hey Losers!
I am back from our weekend trip to Indy. It went very well. The wedding reception for my friend was great and we had a great time just visiting even though it was such a short trip. We went to the Indy Zoo on Saturday and had a blast. I just love that zoo. I found that with walking around for 5.5 hours I didn't get tired at all. DH was complaining by the end of the afternoon about feeling fatigued in his legs and nada for me! :yay: I guess all this working out is really paying off.
I knew traveling with eating out and the wedding reception (plus a service award luncheon last Friday) it would be hard to figure out what to eat but I am proud to say that I stayed in my calorie range every single day!! :yay: I can't quite believe it.
This morning we went to breakfast at Perkins before we left Indy and I splurged a bit and ordered a homestyle omelet. It had 3 eggs, ham, sausage, bacon and plenty of cheese and tomatoes. It came with 2 pieces of toast and lots of hashed browns. I couldn't believe how much was on the plate. I ate about 90% of the omelet and a little over half of the hashbrowns and I was stuffed. In fact I really ate too much. I figured it was over 1,000 calories on just what I did eat. I can't believe that I used to eat all of that and sometimes more. It is amazing that I don't weigh more than I do. :sad2: There was more fat in that food that I am used to eating and I did pay a price somewhere in mid-Illinois on the drive home when my stomach rebelled. :sad2: Your body really adjusts when you feed it better food and I could tell a big difference when I ate too much of something so high in fat.
Well I have babbled enough for tonight. I hope everyone had a great weekend and I will check in later. :)

Princess Vija - I think I can do it - but I will have to give the scale to m y husband. I honestly have no will power.
Pirate Booty -
http://www.robscape.com/files/prod-pirate-booty.php
You can buy it at most supermarkets and all health food stores. It is a pretty good snack - but not when you eat the whole bag.
I love all the booty's popcorn:: , but the Fruity Booty is very very mild. Not a ton of flavor.

Hello Blue Team!
I just returned from WDW this evening (details will follow at another time), but have to say WOW on a job well done! So sorry that I did not help in the effort at all though:guilty:
Well after 4 solid days in parks and on free dining, I will say this-BOY AM I TIRED!!! We walked a lot-I tried to use my step counter, but I kept hitting the reset button, so I stopped wearing it, but I probably did 50000 steps a day. We had free dining too, but I will tell you this-I cannot eat nearly what I used to in either quantity or quality. I left a lot of food on my dishes and did not feel the least bit guilty about it at all. It was unbearably hot, and I know that I did not drink nearly enough water-so I am feeling a bit dehydrated yet, but am starting to get back to normal. I am refusing to weigh myself until Tues so that I can get an accurate number. With all the walking and eating better (I only had one Dole Whip, I swear:laughing: ) I can't see how I can't post a loss this time.
Well I gotta go. Have to put the first load of wash in the dryer:laundy: And then to bed. I have a date with my treadmill at 5:30 am.

By getting on the scale too often you are setting yourself up. Your weight is giong to flucuate day to day, hour to hour. You are much better of weighing yourself once per week (preferablly first thing in the morning). That way you are getting a "snapshot" of what your weight is. And you will not have the daily OMG I gained a pound. Or WOW I lost 3 pounds in 2 days.
So pick one day (my day is Sunday AM) and DO NOT get on the scale again until next weigh in day. Even for this challange I use my Sunday weigh in weight. I know it is not in my best interest to weigh in more than once per week. So Sunday AM when I get up (usually around 5:30 - 6am) I go potty, get naked and step on the scale. And I write that number down. That is my wieght for the week.

Good morning everyone! I did GREAT with my water on Saturday, but totally forgot about it yesterday. YIKES! I'll need to make it up today.----->see me running to the bathroom! :lmao:
Everyone needs to heed disneychrista's advice. If I do weigh in between, I don't get excited or frustrated because I know that it is only the once a week weigh-in that counts. :thumbsup2
Today is Monday, and since tomorrow is weigh-in day, today is last chance workout day. What are YOU going to do? Stairs for 10 minutes? Walk? Use your kidlet's skipping rope for 5 minutes? WATP? Exercise in front of the t.v.? Choose one thing and-even if only for 5 minutes- bust your butt!
My on screen t.v. guide says BL is a 2 hour show this week. Is that the same for everyone else, too? Or are they showing us the second half of last week's show? Who would have thought that :happytv: would be so complicated. :rotfl2:
Have a good day everyone. Stay the course. We will make it one step and one day at a time! WEIGH to go!

My DS19 woke up and felt OK enough to go to classes, so I'm relieved about that, but I'm still going to make a doctor's appt for him.
Debbie: My TIVO is showing Biggest Loser as running for 2 hours as well, so I guess we're in for another long show.
Regarding weighing in: I've been doing South Beach for almost 4 months now and I really enjoy weighing in almost every morning. It doesn't bother me if I see the scale not moving and it doesn't bother me if I've gained a little after vacations or big meals. It actually helps me to keep on my eating plan :) But we each have to find out what works best for us; if it would bother me to see the fluctuations on the scale I wouldn't weight myself so often :)

Good Morning Team :)
I did really well this weekend with eating...I'm so proud of myself! My brother and his family came over Saturday evening and while everyone had pizza, I ordered a large salad instead and enjoyed every bite of it. I didn't even take a nibble from the pizza. Yay me!! Yesterday I had a total of 72oz of water and am already working on my first 20oz this morning. I'm actually looking forward to WI tomorrow and hope I can contribute to the total loss this week.
Seaspray--I hope your DS is feeling better soon.

I haven't been able to get online due to computer issues, but I just did, found the PM from Princess Vija!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd been doing well for awhile on WW & exercise, but after vacation - in late MAY/JUNE!!! - I haven't been able to get back on track and have GAINED! Woke up this morning figuring my computer still wouldn't connect, looked in the mirror and was disgusted at my obvious weight gain & then it changed!!
Thank you , Thank you , Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are my Blessing this gloomy Monday!!!
Since I haven't weighed in in weeks, I'll weigh in I guess today & then again tomorrow. That won't be fun!
I journal here, when I'm on, so I may not put everything in this thread, but will try to figure out how to link to my journal in my siggy.
Briefly, I'm a BAD STRESS eater, & I've got a DS21 who is a HUGE source of stress. Between that & normal life issues - right now my DD15 is ill with something they can't figure, her HS had bomb/shooting threats 3 days in a row (& is in sight of my house), & she was out of school most of the last week, & total lack of support from my DH who had a heart attack last 12/21 at the age of 48. I'm 47 & a lot of my personal issues deal with our lovely friend 'hormone 'he!!'.
Anyway....I'm here & I will STAY HERE!!!!!!!
Off to weigh, then make my plan for the day. More in my real journal!!!!

Hey everyone,
Today is a much better day!!! My entire department is out of the office for a BootCamp, so I'm hoping that it's nice and quiet here. I feel much better today. Still a bit tired and run down, but I slowly feel like the fog is lifting.
My scale is showing me such nice numbers - Woo hoo! I'm so excited for my official first BL WI tomorrow. On the subject of scales, I also prefer a daily (mostly 2x a day) WI. But, I've been doing this for years now and I know how my flucations work. Its actually interesting to see how different foods, exercising, etc. affect the scale. I have it down to a science and don't freak out when it changes. For me, even certain parts of the week are higher and lower (probably based on eating more on weekends). For me, it keeps me more honest and on the right track. If it moves up I can react quickly to get it back into check (or I know that it was supposed to do that based on previous run in's with certain food). I don't do good when I don't peek daily. For some reason that makes me eat more because it's out of site out of mind.
Normally I have a hard time getting back on track without going to WW meetings. I didn't go last week because I was so busy all week and just run down and tired. I really would like to lose this last little bit using WISH and Sparkpeople and keeping track of calories and not points. I'm so happy I'm doing good right now. It will be a week of being good soon and that makes me feel so proud of myself. I can't wait till tomorrow's BL show.
Have a great healthy and happy Monday!

WEIGH to go!
OK Debbie!!!! I'm with you. I haven't done any exercise since last Wednesday because I felt so horrible and run down, but I did bring my work out clothes to work and since my entire department is gone - I'm going to go to the Gym and get a really long good workout in!!!!!! I'll be thinking about what you said and make this an awesome Last Chance Workout before tomorrow's WI.
So what is everyone going to do today!!! We can do it! Go BLUE!

Last chance workout - I love it! I had a not-the-best-choices weekend off at a cheer competition. But to brag - DD's squad not only won 1st place but also Grand Champions!! :cheer2: :cheer2: It was very exciting. I've walked and lifted today, now I need to have some water. I'll do *something* later as a last chance workout, maybe bike ride w/dd when she gets home.
Good job everyone!!
Vija - how's the new job going?

Last night I got on the treadmill for 15 minutes. I know that doesn't sound like much but I just can't aggravate my foot at this point since it hasn't been hurting too much lately. It does hurt this morning, but not too bad. For today's Last Chance Workout I plan on doing a lot of floor exercises, including sit-ups, leg lifts, push-ups, etc, and depending upon how my foot is feeling, maybe a little more treadmill time. I will have a great weigh-in tomorrow because I'm already down 2.5 pounds this week as of this morning! :)
Let's go Blue Team!!!!

Good Monday morning everyone!! I had a pretty good weekend. I got my water in. I ate decently, but did well on the exercise. I still did my eliptical/treadmill, but I pushed the resistance/speed, so I burned extra calories.
Have a great day!!!:cheer2:

Hey teammates! I love the idea of the last chance workout... and what I love better is knowing I already did it!:cool1: I woke up early and did 1/2 hour on the eliptical. I went to WW and had a friend join me (she brought 2 with her, so now I have a little group!) and afterwards, the 2 of us went on a 1 hour walk! WOW, it felt so good to do that!
becka, glad to hear that you had fun at the wedding! I think it is so cool to see that you noticed a difference with walking around at the zoo. Your stamina is increasing and your body is improving! WAY TO GO ON GETTING HEALTHIER!
hrpufnsash, OK, give your scale to your hubby, and I will do the same! WE will not WI other than Tuesdays, we can do it! Hang in there! You'll love the results! the booty looks interesting, I will keep my eye out for it.
VernRDH, welcome back! Can't wait to hear all the details of your trip. I love reading how you were able to not eat all of the food, and have no guilt! That is great. Better out than in! and keeping it out of us, makes us healthier!
disneychrista, for me I think I agree that I need to stay off the scale. I do to many mind games othewise. So I am commiting this week to only WI on Tuesdays.
SeaSpray, Glad to hear DS is feeling better. It stink when our kids are sick. Hey, also thanks for answering my earplanes question on CB! That was nice to see your smiling face!:wave2: Great job on getting on the treadmill. 15 minutes, is 15 minutes of a healthier you! be proud!:woohoo:
Debbie, wow, thanks for posting that BL is 2 hours this week, I would have totally missed that! Thanks also for the last chance workout buzz words! that is great. Aside from running to the bathroom :lmao: What is your last chance workout? Hopefully you will enjoy it!
Luckywife, what a great choice substituing salad for pizza... hats off to you!:dance3:
Goldcupmom, WELCOME! glad you were able to come and find us. Hopefully the computer won't keep interfering and you will be able to come daily. This is a great support. Sorry you don't have it at home, but you will find it here with a rockin' great blue team! Sounds like you have way to much stress in your life. The shooting threats alone are enough to drive any parent crazy, and that your one DD is ill too... Hopefully they will find out what is wrong. And your DH too, a Heart attack so early in life... yikes! We are here for you!:grouphug:
MelanieC, hope you had a great last chance workout! Enjoy that quiet office today. you deserve it after the stressful days you've had at work!
jennz, congrats to your DD's team! :cheer2: That is awesome! My dd did competitive dance for 3 years and I know the time commitment and stress is crazy. I would get stressed out at the competitions too. and they don't offer the healthiest of choices of food to eat at the competions. Get that last chance workout in and I know you will be feeling 100% better!:thumbsup2
AuntieMo3, you are on a roll! You go girl! :cool1:

Thanks for the heads up VIJA- I can't wait to go home and see it.
Things are going good for me today food wise. I didn't work out at lunch, I ended up getting busy and had a meeting at 2pm so I didn't want to be late. I'll try to do that tomorrow. For tonight, I'm going to go home and do a video!!

Good Evening Blue Team! I have enjoyed reading what everyone has to say and the goings on throughout the week! I wish I could respond to each person but my toddler keeps me pretty busy during the day and my husband (a teacher) does all his work on the computer at night.
I haven’t posted much on here, being shy even comes through online! My week has been a tough one. I have made good food choices but haven’t been able to walk as much due to it being that time of month (which may be TMI, if so sorry). I missed three days of doing any type of workout because of pain. And I missed it (so that’s a good thing!) I was so happy that I was able to walk my two miles this morning and will be able to walk my one maybe two miles after dinner. I haven’t checked the scale but I am not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow.
I wanted to start using our clubhouse gym so we checked it out on Sunday, I knew it was small but wasn’t sure of anything else. It turns outs that it is all cardio things, a treadmill (which the belt sticks) and a few other outdated items that don’t work like they should. So that was a bit of a let down and I won‘t be using it. I have thought about looking into a gym in the area but I wouldn’t be comfortable going. So I am keeping my eye out for a treadmill on Craigslist! My parents are visiting in a month and they are going to bring out hand weights and a step thing, so I am looking forward to getting that, change things up a bit.
Do any of you ever worry that with everything you do (eat better and workout) that the weight won’t come off? That is my biggest fear!
Well I think that I have gone on long enough, sorry for the rambling. I wish everyone a Happy weigh in tomorrow no matter what the scale reads! See you all tomorrow on Week number 3 thread :cheer2:

kitkat324! WE LOVE hearing from you! sometimes it is tough to just jump right in. I used to be more shy, and then decided to try and be more outgoing, and I love it! I am still shy on the inside and at times it takes me a while to open up, but I can totally understand!
Sounds like you are getting some good walks in, and the fact that your body missed it speaks volumes that your body wants it! Way to go!
I used to have that fear about weight not coming off, but I once saw a tv show (like Oprah or Dr. Phil or something like that) that basicly said "what makes you so special that natural laws won't work". Calories in and calories out, if you balance it right you will loose weight. I thought about that a lot and realized that although I AM SPECIAL ;) , I am just like everyone else and if I work my program then it will work for me. I just need faith!
I go by "faith, trust, and pixie dust" Faith in myself that I can do it, trust in the program that I am following and pixie dust to visualize my goals and have fun during this journey!

Hey everyone,
I'm sending pixie dust and best wishes for tomorrow's WI. I didn't get a workout in. Still not feeling right. I do have plans to get up tomorrow for a walk though. I'm going to bed now (I hope to be asleep by 9pm) and then I'll get up and walk in the morning. That should also help me sweat out some water weight in the morning. I have a very good feeling about WI tomorrow. I am so happy that we started this challenge.
Good luck everyone!

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for not posting lately. Both of the computers in my house have been out of commission this weekend. Don't have much to report. Keeping up with my exercise commitment, not doing so great with the eating so the pounds keep hanging on. Eventually that will change :thumbsup2

I got my last chance work outs in tonight. I did 40 minutes of fairly slow walking earlier today and then I did a 40 minute work out tonight on the treadmill including my Couch to 5K workout. :woohoo: I actually didn't check the training schedule and I kind of did a week 2.5 workout. I was supposed to jog for 90 seconds and walk for 2 minutes alternating for 20 minutes but I actually jogged for 90 seconds and walked for 1 minute alternating for 20 minutes. Oh well I guess I might be ready for week 3 later this week. :) That should be more of a challenge.
Good luck tomorrow on the weigh in everyone. I know that Blue can be #1 tomorrow!!!!!! :)

Hope everyone had a good day. for the first time in a lONG time I actually stayed OP today. I actually have points left tonight so I might have a small snack, but more likely not.
I also got DD out & we did a 4 min walk. Then it got too dark & since we had my pups with me (Yorkies, Oh Mom!) I began worryint that it was coyote hunting time & didn't want problems.
But, OP & exercise in the same day is much more like the old me!
My thought today has been : Yesterday's History, Tomorrow's a Mystery....Today's the day!!!
See y'all in the week 3 thread tomorrow!
