A word of caution, Robert, UltraMickeyMouse, also known as the evil voice on your shoulder, is trying to talk people, and me, into doing the Minnie next year.
His flawed logic is that since it is the last Minnie those who have a Mickey, a Donald and a Goofy medal will be unable to complete the set unless they go to the 2008 Minnie.:rolleyes1
He is using the lame rational that since we have an annual pass anyway, and the DDE option that the trip would be very inexpensive.:teacher:
We need to be strong and resist this temptation. He already has poor Erica all a quiver about it.
We don't need a Minnie Medal, we will live just fine without it. There probably won't even be that many WISH Team members going anyway.

Bad Robert! Baaaaaaaaaaad Robert! :lmao:
Yes exactly, we need to get our torches and pitch forks and big sticks and go get him.
We can lay seige to the bridge he lives under and wait him out. Don't listen when he says he is a man and not an animal. We will pelt him with over ripe fruit and vegtables.
He has already crupted poor Erica, she is shopping for a red dress with big white spots. :scared1:

NOOOOOOOO!!!!! She is over the edge, she has fallen to the temptation.
We need to save her from the evil Robert, we need a hero, where is Gandalf when we need him.

Dave - Quit trying to resist the light side. Come on over and run. This is where all the cool people are. Erica figured it out already and has been welcomed with open arms. You will be as well. Just watch out for those Jellyroll people.

I believe Gandulf is currently busy training for the Goofy and therefore can't save you from the Minnie
Robert already has us. The moment I saw the dates and it was a go I told my DH and Susan that the moment registration opened I was signing up. I want to be locked in and paid for so that I have no excuse and am not delaying like i did in 2007 and it never happened (though I am still very pleased with our alternative 2007 weekend GO PIGGY!)
We are looking at making reservations for the POP for that weekend. We will probably fly in on Thursday and fly out Sunday.
I'm kinda bummed though with the date. I had wanted to do the Cincy Piggy 1/2 in 2008  but want to get the 15K and then if Disney DOES do a longer spring race in 2009 I will most likely do that too since Disney is being a bit wishy regarding the spring race and I know the flying Pig is safe and not going anywhere. I say in 2010 we all head to Cincinatti and show them the power of the WISH! :grouphug:
Come along Dave it'll be fun. :cheer2:

Bill and Diane, you guys are not helping me resist this. I mean really now what kind of a person would even go to Disney World TWICE a year, you really must think I'm 'seriously not right' to think I would even consider going three times.:rolleyes1
Is there no one with a voice of reason out there??? :confused3

when the words endurance and distance athlete can be applied to you i don't think we need to question your sanity. you have to be somewhat insane to do distances like that so when compared to that 3 times to WDW in 1 year really is small potatoes. :lmao:
my DH says.... " just do it, everyone else is" LOL your not even gonna get help from our spouses :lmao:
Besides, the alternative is Erica gets a full weekend without you if you don't sign up. Erica, alone with all of us WISH ladies. Need we say more?

And here I was expecting WWDave to be waxing poetically about the Robot on Lost in Space (based on his posts title, "Warning, Warning [Will Robinson]"), and all we get is him complaining to a bunch of WDW-aholics on a WDW related website about someone trying to convince him he should go to WDW. :confused3

Dave, don't forget that most of these same people who go to 2 or 3 endurance events a year at WDW, also spend another week or more at another time for their vacation. The 3-4 day hop for a sports event really doesn't count as a WDW vacation you know.

Ok so I'm a few fries short of a happy meal. I'm stating to realize I'm not winning here. Maybe since the Minnie is looking like a fore gone conclusion I should just give up and start planning.

You know what I find ironic? I wasn't even considering doing the Minnie until I got sucked into this thread (I too was expecting some sort of Lost in Space reference  ). But now I am seriously contemplating whether I need that Minnie medal to complete the set....
So riddle me this, Dave -- just who is the evil voice on my shoulder? Hmmm??
Erica

Oh my, Robert would be proud.:rolleyes1 I was hoping some little angel voice would come along and give me some good logical reasons to resist this.

That's it, give in to the Disney force. It starts with 3 trips and then soon you are coming back everyother month because it is cheaper to use your passes more often. Then the next step is moving next door and visiting once a month. Then you get a job with them and visit every weekend, because it is free. Start down the path and embrace it, we welcome you with open arms. :thumbsup2
Besides it would make Erica happy and we all know that is the most important thing. ;)

So I was waffling -- 10th anniversary Pig, special medal, possibility of Flying Pig "3-way" (5K/10K/marathon) with even more special perks -- OR... possible (probable?) last chance at wonderful Minnie medal.
Then my girls said they'd do the Minnie with me. Wham -- the scale just tilted.
Now the choice becomes Disney with my teens (and WISH friends) or long drive alone to Pig. Well, I guess the evil voice twins have won over another victim. :)

Yep we can do this, and we don't have to climb a mountain in the middle of the Minnie either.
