Looking for family activities in the Fort Lauderdale area

Can anyone reccommend any family type activities in the Fort Lauderdale area?

We always enjoy taking the boat ride throught the intercoastal waterways. I think that the boat is called the "Carrie B". Very relaxing and informative. Also the Flea Market at the west end has some good deals for everyone in the family. And do not forget the beach. It is beautiful with lots of shops. (Beachplace Towers etc.) Fort Lauderdale is my favourite beach area in Florida
