Dedicated Studios?

I have seen several post about dedicated studios, what are these? What other kind of studios are there? We are going to the VWL our first time home in Nov. in a studio.

Some studios have a connecting door to the one-bedroom next door. When the door is open, the unit is a two-bedroom. The majority of studios have this door but there are some that do not have the door and can only be used as a studio.
