Another solo trip and my odd encounter with the dream squad

I just returned from my 11th solo trip. I had a very odd encounter with the Dream Squad. They were giving dream fast passes to everyone passing along the path from WS to FW one morning-"Today's your lucky day..." So I walked by them very slowly, didn't want to miss my chance, and nothing! So I went back to them and asked "Well, isn't it MY lucky day too?" "Are you a Disney CM?" When they found out I wan't they were very apologetic and gave me my lanyard. Later I saw one man again and we had a nice talk about applying to be a dream squad member. Moral-sometimes if solos aren't asked, it's because the Dream Squad may not know they're guests. Being mistaken for a CM happened to me several times this trip. For TS, I ate solo at Citrico's/GFC, YCG, Cape May CB, and Boma. I stayed at BCV and BWV. Any questions I'd be happy to try to answer.

that is so odd. guess i'll have to "guest" it up with my bag, mister, etc when i go solo! but good for you for speaking up for yourself! congrats :)

Actually, later in the day when someone asked "So, where exactly do you work?" they said it was the way I was dressed that led them to believe I was a CM. I was wearing a polo shirt, not a t-shirt, with a lanyard (no pins). The polo shirt had a DVC logo on it.

Maybe we should make some "Not a Cast Member" tshirts for solos to wear
